Cancer of the Endometrium Stage 3B: No Chemo, No Radiation – Only On Herbs

GS (T791) is a 54 year-old lady.  A cervical biopsy and endometrial curetting indicated a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the endometirum. Subsequently, GS underwent a surgery – TAHBSO (total abdominal hysterectomy-bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy) at a private hospital. The pathology report confirmed a well differentiated adenocarcinoma of the endometrium, classical endometrioid type, Stage 3B (T2bNxMx), tumour invades into cervical stroma. Associated lesion: leiomyoma uteri.

After the surgery, GS was asked to undergo radiotherapy. She refused. Then she was asked to go for chemotherapy, again she refused.

GS came to seek our help on 9 April 2008 and was started on herbs – Capsule A, C-tea and Cervical 1 and 2 teas. In April 2012, GS would have been on herbs for FOUR years.  GS is doing fine. Initially when she took the herbs, she had a bit of pulling pain. This was probably due to the surgery. Then she had hot flashes. This problem was resolved after taking our Menopause Pill. GS did not have any other complaints. She has been taking these herbs “religiously” besides taking care of her diet.

Cancer of the Rectum Stage 3: Almost Nine Years on Herbs – Surgery But No Chemo or Radiation

ST (M-73) is a lady from Medan. She was 50 years old when diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2002. About a year before this diagnosis, she passed out blood in her stools. She took all kinds of herbs but the herbs did not help her.

In December 2002, she came to a private hospital in Penang and underwent an operation. The pathology indicated a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the rectum, Duke’s Stage C (infiltrating into pararectal node). Pararectal nodes with metastatic adenocarcinoma (1/5).

ST was fitted with a colostomy bag for three months. In April 2003, the bag was removed and her colon rejoined. The doctor suggested that ST undergo radiotherapy. She refused. She told her doctor that she wanted to take our herbs.

ST came to seek our help on 18 April 2003 and was prescribed Capsule A, C-tea, GI 1 and GI 2 teas. Three months later, ST came back again and reported that she was getting better. An USG done on 4 July 2003 confirmed that everything was normal.

Since ST is from Medan, we do not get to see her often. She came once every few years. However, she continued to take the herbs over these years. On 30 December 2011, ST dropped by the centre. She was doing fine. She went to see her doctor and the doctor told her that everything is normal.

Questions to ponder

After the surgery she declined radiotherapy or chemotherapy.

  1. What could have happened if she was to undergo radiotherapy as suggested by her doctor?
  2. Would radiotherapy make any difference to her well-being today?
  3. How much better could she be with radiotherapy? Or would it result in some unforeseen, long-term side effects?

Lymphoma: Chemotherapy Failed, Life Was Miserable But Herbs and e-Therapy Revived Her

Acknowledgment: The patient granted her permission to use this video without having to mask her face.

1.  A Long Journey From Home to Penang

MN (S-81) is a 56-year-old lady from Indonesia.  She and her husband came to a private hospital in Penang to search for an alternative treatment for her Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  But there was none. She was given the same option – undergo chemotherapy again.

They live in Labuan Batu, a town south of Medan. Coming to Penang is a long journey indeed. From home, first they had to travel for 9 hours by bus (or 6 hours by train) to  Medan. After an overnight stay in Medan, they took a plane to Penang.

2.  Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

Sometime in early 2011, MN felt lethargic. Her stomach was painful. She had profuse sweating, specially her head . For the past one year she had been coughing. Doctors were unable to cure her coughs.

In May 2011, MN was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She underwent six cycles of chemotherapy with CHOP.

After the completion of the chemo treatment the cancer recurred in the form of a small swelling at her left collar bone – at the same spot where she did a biopsy earlier. MN was asked to undergo another round of chemotherapy. She refused and came to Penang looking for alternative medicine.

(Note: CHOP regimen consists of four drugs – Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin (or Adriamycin), Vincristine and Prednisolone. The first three drugs of the CHOP chemotherapy regimen are usually given as injections or infusions in veins on a single day, while prednisolone is taken as pills for five days. Each cycle is repeated every 3 weeks for 6 to 8 cycles).

MN received her treatment in a government hospital in Medan. Each treatment required a two-day stay in the hospital.

 3.  Life was Difficult During and After Chemotherapy

The first five chemos seemed to help MN. Her health seemed to improve. However, the sixth chemo was “bad”. Her health deteriorated – “dropped”. She had no strength and was not even able to climb out of bed by herself. She had to be hospitalized for two weeks. After being discharged from the hospital, she regained some strength. She was able to walk for about 10 metres and had to stop. At home she was not able to do anything. Her husband had to do all the house chores.

She said, “I walked a bit, my feet felt numb. My hands felt numb. I felt difficult, nauseous. I was bald.”

After chemo, her stomach pains disappeared but her one-year-old problem of coughs and profuse sweating persisted.

4.  Recurrence

One and a half months after the completion of her chemo, a small lump appeared at the collar bone – the same site where she first had her biopsy. The doctor in Medan confirmed it was a recurrence. She was asked to undergo a second round of chemotherapy.

5.   More of the Same Advice in Penang

MN said, “I do not want any more chemo. That is why I come here.”

MN and her husband came to a private hospital in Penang in December 2011 in the hope of finding an alternative treatment to chemo. But she was told to do more of the same thing – undergo more chemotherapy!

Husband: “No point. If we wanted to do chemo, we could have stayed back in Medan (treatment was given free-of-charge because he was an ex-government staff). In Penang, I have to pay for the treatment.”

The oncologist suggested two options. The first option is to use drugs that cost RM 7,000 per cycle. This means, the six-cycle-treatment would come to about RM 42,000. The oncologist told them that this treatment will cure her cancer. The second option is to use cheaper drugs costing RM 3,000 per cycle. But the effectiveness is uncertain.

Chris: Well, that means you have to sell your house to pay for the treatment?

MN: “No, we have no house to sell. Even to come here now – the expenses are provided by our children.”

Chris: Do you believe what the oncologist told you  – that the expensive chemo can cure you?

MN and Husband: “No, we never believe what he said.”

MN: “I refused to do more chemo. I can’t stand chemo any more. I can’t walk, I can’t eat. I am still bald now.”

6.  Disappointed – But Later They Found CA Care

MN and her husband were disappointed. They did not find the alternative treatment they wanted from the hospital. They did not know what to do next. However, a day later a lady told them about CA Care.

Chris: So you came to see us (on 18 December 2011).

MN: “Actually my son also asked me to find for an alternative way. He said I should find that herbalist in Penang. But he did not know who.”

7.   CA Care’s Herbs and e-Therapy Restored Her Health

MN was prescribed Capsule A, Lympho 1 and Lympho 2 teas, C-tea and Cough No 3, 5 and 11 for her problems. She was also told to take care of her diet.

Husband: “Her health improved within three weeks.”

Chris: Yesterday you told us that before you first came to Penang (in December 2011), all your friends who saw you cried. Why did they cry?

Husband: “They looked at her – her health was so bad. She was so weak. When we went home all her friends were smiling. She looked better.”

MN: “ I was so full of hope after meeting you, doctor.”

Chris: Are you sure that after taking the herbs for three weeks you are really better?

MN: “Yes.”

Husband: “Now she can walk for some distance without any problem. Before she had difficulty after walking 10 metres.”

MN: “My husband had to massage my legs every day.”

Husband:”Every time after she walked I had to massage her legs. Now I don’t have to do that anymore. She had not recovered 100 percent yet but her health has recovered by some 75 percent now.”

MN:”I had coughs for a year. I did X-ray three times and I saw all these doctors. The cough persisted. I took your herbs for four days and the coughs were almost gone!”

Chris: Praise and be thankful to God for this blessing.

MN: “When I first came here in December and was in the hospital, there was this patient who also came from Medan. She came to my room and help massaged my legs. She felt sorry for me. My legs were numb. That was before I came to see you. After I took your herbs there was no need for anyone to massage my legs any more.”

Chris to Husband: Ho, ho, you don’t have to do any more work! Very good, very good.

NM and husband returned to Penang after taking three weeks of herbs. This was in January 2012. She underwent three days of treatment with the e-Therapy.

MN:”My health improved further. I don’t feel numb or tired anymore. Instead it is my husband who felt tired when we walked this morning.”

Chris: Oh no – I have to take care of your husband too?

8.  You are Blessed!

Chris: You are indeed blessed. After seeing the oncologist in the hospital you all were disappointed because you could not find what you wanted from the hospital. You did not know where else to turn to. But a day later – after you prayed – an “angel lady” appeared and told you about CA Care.

Husband:”We were ready to go home “empty handed.”We did not have the funds to pay for such expensive treatment which we did not come for anway.”

Chris: Indeed it was a blessing from God. I fully understand the situation you are in.

9.   Go Home and Be Careful – Take Care of Yourself

Chris: I am so happy that I am able to help you. This is my advice – please go home and take care of yourself well. Take care of your diet, exercise and take the herbs. My herbs are not magic but I believe they do help you.

MN and her husband returned to CA Care on 8 January 2012 and underwent the e-Therapy.

Watch this video.

After three weeks of herbs

She reported her health had improved:

  • Her coughs were almost gone – now she coughs once a while. Previously it was continuously.
  • She had more energy.
  • Her appetite improved.
  • The “heaty” feeling in the left side of her abdomen comes once in a while. Previously it was often.
  • Profuse sweating in the head was much less. Previously it was soaking wet and happened often, day and night.
  • She slept well. Before it was difficult.
  • Numbness of her fingers was gone but the numbness of her legs persisted although there was improvement.
  • She had more strength to walk. She could walk 100 metres without feeling tired. Previously even doing 10 or 20 metres was difficult.
  • The only problem she has now is a feeling of “ discomfort /numbness” in her right shoulder.

After first session of e-Therapy

  • She felt real good.
  • The body felt lighter.
  • Numbness of the legs was much less.

After second session of e-Therapy

  • She felt better.
  • Numbness of her legs had improved further.
  • Urination and bowel movements were better.
  • She had more energy.
  • She had no more coughs.
  • Discomfort in the left shoulder still persisted.

After third session of e-Therapy

  • The discomfort in the left should was gone.

Many Indonesian patients who come to seek our help need to travel from afar.  We empathize with them. This is indeed a test of their commitment and a testimony of their real desire of wanting to help themselves. In contrast, we have phone calls and e-mails from patients who live just a few miles away and yet they complained that it is difficult to come and see us. They prefer consultation over the phone. Similarly we have patients from Sarawak, Sabah or Singapore who only want us to help them through the phone or internet. Unfortunately, we cannot help such patients. It is better that they go and seek help from herbalists nearby their homes. Life is easier that way – for them and also for us.

But for those like MN, who have travel so far to come and seek help, we pray that we never let them down. We shall do our utmost best to help them. Indeed this case is an example of a wonderful and rewarding effort that makes our day real great. We thank God for His  blessings – and hope many more cases like this will continue to come by our way.

Cervical Cancer Stage 2A –Survived Five Years With Herbs Only, Refused Radiotherapy

GK was a 70-year-old lady. In May 2000 she had vaginal bleeding. The doctor’s examination showed a large cauliflower growth involving the anterior lip of the cervix and also the vault at the vagina. A biopsy of the cervical growth was done and confirmed a moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix, Stage 2A.

GK was asked to undergo radiotherapy. She declined. She started to change her diet. She came to seek our help on 10 August 2001, and presented with the following:

  • Pains in the back when walking.
  • Unable to sleep.
  • Constipation and sometimes with blood.
  • Watery discharge.

She was started on herbs – Capsule A, Utero-ovary, Cervical and C-teas. After a week on the herbs she reported some improvements. There was less blood in her stools. She slept better. She was more energetic. She was not constipated anymore. She felt hungry most of the time. She sweat  a lot.

After another week on the herbs, there were more improvements. She could sleep well. She had good appetite, more energy and there was no more sweating. The discharge was much less.

She was on the road to recovery. And over the years she had no more pains No more blood in her stools and no more discharge. After this we did not get to see much of GK anymore.

In early 2005, her son came and told us GK had problems – the cancer had recurred.

Watch the video clips above – they were recorded on 9 November 2001, 6 September 2002 – when GK was doing so well. Then on 9 January 2005 and 3 February 2005 her son told us about his mother’s misadventure.

  • Sometime in November 2004, GK had the responsibility of taking care of her grandchild. This caused a lot of stress and gave her a lot of problems. She started to have headaches due to lack of sleep. She lost her appetite. She started to let go of her herbs. Then she went back to her previous “bad” diet and started to eat meat, etc.
  • In January 2005 – i.e., about two months after her “misbehavior,” she started to have bleeding again. She had difficulty or could not urinate and move her bowels.
  • Things got worse. She had vaginal discharge every hour and her pampers had to be changed often.
  • She started to take the herbs again – but that was a half-hearted effort. She used only 4 tablespoon instead of the usual six.
  • We lost contact with the patient and her son after this. We suspected she must have died some months later.

Comments

GK had survived about five years after her diagnosis. She did not die like the other patients who had the same type and stage of cancer who died sooner after undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Every cancer story invariably end sadly. We come to learn that with cancer we can only loose, never win (depending on how you look at it). But in this case, I felt it was rather a sad and tragic ending. There was a choice – an early demise could have been avoided. Take away the stress of being the “nanny” to the grandchildren and sticking onto the path that she had been travelling over the past four years – GK could have lived longer.

In our Oriental culture, parents like to have many children. This is because they hope that one day when they grow old their children will be able to take care of them. This is true with the “old” Chinese custom. Today, the trend is reversed. The children are busy earning money, so they “make use” of their parents to run errand for them – take the kids to school, baby sit the children, clean the house, etc. This is understandable since each of us has to earn to make a living. But it is a little “incomprehensible” if one has to exchange a mother’s life for “convenience”. There could be a better arrangement than that.

The good side of this story is that GK did not have to suffer even if she had cancer. And she managed to live for about five years in spite of not following what the doctor wanted her to do. Just imagine what could have happened if she were to undergo radiotherapy as suggested.  Read what happened to patients who had chemotherapy and /or radiotherapy for this kind of cancer. They suffered and some of them died sooner.

Cancer of the Endometrium: No chemo you live only three months, with chemo two and a half years! With herbs she is still having fun after more than THREE years

Spring cleaning is a great Chinese tradition. I now understand its benefit.  I got caught up with this tradition in a half-hearted way on 18 January 2012 – just four days before the Year of the Dragon (2012) sets in.   Actually I was not “spring cleaning” at all. I just spent one morning clearing some of the untidy “old papers” left on my shelves – to be “recycled” at our centre.

To my surprise I “discovered” many things. And one of which are the faxes and medical reports that Ella wrote me four years ago. I knew I kept them somewhere. I have been hunting for them earlier but could not find them.  This morning I found them.  Because of this I can now relate to you Ella’s story with much confidence (I don’t do this with no evidence.)

27 November 2008: We received a three-page fax from Australia with the following message:

“Here are the results of the tests. I am going in for an operation tomorrow 28 November 2008. And looking forward to all this behind me. I will call as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your support and love. Good health and lots of laughter. Love, Ella.”

Her medical report indicated, “in the pelvis, the uterus is markedly enlarged with extensive hetergenous soft tissues measuring 7 x 10 cm in maximal diameters, entirely consistent with endometrial tumour. Conclusion: Intrauterine tumour. Poorly differentiated carcinoma favouring uterine origin. No evidence of tumour spread elsewhere.”

The doctor suggested that Ella undergo surgery as soon as possible. We concurred and urged Ella to go ahead as soon as she was ready for it.

12 December 2008: We received an eleven-page fax from Ella.

“Chris, here are the reports from the hospital. I hope it gives you a clearer picture of my condition. I look forward to receiving your herbs. And am doing all I can to return my body to wellness. Thanking you for all your help and God bless.”

19 November 2008:  Ella’s CA 125 was at 70 (High – below 45 is considered normal).

28 November 2008: Operative specimen: TAHBSO (total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy), omentum and left and right pelvic nodes.

Size: 75 x 65 mm  Conclusion: Extensively necrotic poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma of the endometrium, consistent with Grade 3 endometrioid carcinoma with myoinvasion 11 of 14 mm and focal lymphovascular space involvement. No tumour identified in six right pelvic and five pelvic nodes.

Cytology report:  “Endometrial cancer. Peritoneal washings – no cytological evidence of malignancy.”

Ella was started on herbs right away – Capsule A, C-tea, Utero-ovary 1 and 2 and T & E teas.

What happened after that is a wonderful success story. Let Ella tell you her story.

The surgeon said: No chemo, you have three months. With chemo, it would be two-and-a-half years. What?

Given a choice – which one would you choose?

Do chemo and live for two-and-a-half years inclusive of the side effects,

OR, have a solid one-year life of happiness without chemo?

(Note: These videos were recorded in mid-September 2009. Ella came to Penang for a week’s holiday. It was our pleasure to welcome her to this Island Paradise. One evening we sat down to talk.)

I am writing this story on 18 January 2012. It has been THREE YEARS and1 TWO MONTH and Ella is still doing well. And she is still taking the herbs and no chemo of course. Let me reproduce some of the e-mails she wrote us.

14 October 2009

Hi Chris and Im,

I have viewed the video and it is fine now.  Thank you. It would be good if it gives people hope to be open minded and believe that cancer need not be a death sentence, if they choose to adopt the more natural and none invasive approach.   They need to question their doctors  “Why they condemn the natural way of treating cancer”  “Where do they get the proof that these treatments do not work.”  If it is from their medical journals then this is a bias conclusion as it is in the interest of their profession to dominate the sickness industry.

We have been brainwashed for too long into thinking that this INDUSTRY has our best interest at heart.  If this was so then they would not seek out and destroy real facts and evidence which has been proven to assist the many illnesses we see in our society to-day.

In my research I have found that the people who are speaking out against the use of  chemo and radiation are in fact medical doctors and scientists who see the same miserable results time and time again.

1 November 2009

Hi Chris and Im,

Got your email and thank you for letting me know about the book, I will find a copy. Sadly their findings are rarely printed in the notable medical journals like the LANCET etc. How sad to think that one day the truth will come out about the drug companies hold on Cancer research and treatments but tens of thousands of people would have died needlessly.  It breaks my heart to think about it.

In Australia, the people are so blinded and even when shown proof of natural research, they do not want to know.  It is wonderful work that you do Chris and Im and you have given hope and healing to so many.

We had an electrical storm here last night which was amazing to watch.  The skies also opened up and dumped more rain in 1 hour than we have had for over 3yrs.  It is very warm here now and it looks like another hot summer with temps. way over 45degrees.  So glad we have a pool to cool down.

Thinking of you both with much love. Ella xx
18 January 2011

Hi Im and Chris,

Thank goodness the Christmas period is over as it was rather busy with catching up with lots of friends and family.   We, in Australia have our holidays at this time.

All is well and I am fit and healthy and looking forward to another exciting year. I just wish the years would slow up a bit as they seem to fly past.   There is definitely never a dull moment. Did I forward the DVDs to you Im, I’ve forgotten. These are on health. Even when people see that I am so well, they still will not take on their own healing with the help of people as Chris.

We will have two more grandchildren this year, making it, six now. This is what I meant. There’s never a dull moment.

The floods here are devastating. We are flooded but from inside out.  A hot water pipe burst and after a week we are now drying out and assessing the damage. Always thinking of you both and I will call soon.

It has been over two years now since taking teas and I feel great. What would I do without you? I will always be eternally grateful.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have more energy than a 20-year-old.  Most children over here are always tired as they are nutritionally deficient.

Love to you both.   Ella xx

6 November 2011

Hi Chris and Im,

We have been away on holiday travelling many thousands of miles crossing three states. It is amazing how big our country is.  It took us three weeks and there was not a lot of time to explore. All is well and with another baby grandson this now makes six.   It is always fun to be with them as I can act like a child and get away with it.

Too many people are dying here with cancer. It is quite heart breaking to see them follow the cancer trail system (as I call it.)    I met a lady yesterday who had brain cancer and when I mentioned there is another way apart from chemo she said ” My oncologist would never allow me to try something natural, as it does not work. I must do as I am told or he will get angry and not help me.”   There is no hope for such a person as they are like sheep and feel there is nothing they can do for themselves.

On a brighter note, we are at last out of winter and into some warm weather again. I love the warm evenings and a walk along the beach.  We visited a Buddhist temple yesterday and spent the day there, meditating, listening to words of love and caring for our wonderful world and eating good clean food.

How are Albert and Irene doing? How long do they have in America with their studies?  I hope you and Chris are well and enjoying life to the full.  I love the stories and info Chris puts on emails and thank you as the more I know the more I can avail to those who need it.   I will never understand people who need to come and see Chris but won’t.  It seems that the SYSTEM has too a strong hold on them.

Thinking of you both and I send my love. Ella xx

A lovely note from Ella ….

From her e-mails, what do you think of Ella as a person? Cancer patients can learn to be like her. From her e-mails above, you will note that Ella is:

  1. Enjoying life to the fullest – busy being a grandmother of six kids, and at the same time being a wife running a happy family.
  2. She is not a “lamb easily led to the slaughter.” She worked for her healing. Actually we knew Ella way before she had cancer. She is a health activist in Australia and she has been helping cancer patients as well, but to the same extend as we do in CA Care due to the limitations imposed by the laws of her country.
  3. Many patients say they have “positive attitudes.” Saying is one thing, practising it is another.
  4. I have posed this question to Ella when she came to visit us about a year after taking the herbs.  Given a choice – which one would you choose? Do chemo and live for two-and-a-half years OR have a solid one-year life of happiness without chemo?  Ella took a “calculated risk” or “gambled” with her life so to say and she won. She had lived longer than what her doctor had predicted. Even with chemo she was told she would have only two and half years – and remember most of the time spent going in and out of the hospital. But with the herbs, she suffered no side effects and she had lived a good life.

What else can you ever bargain for? And what additional proof do you need to believe?

Cervical Cancer: You Can Give Me Anything Except Chemo or Radiotherapy

Yin was diagnosed with cancer of the cervix in 1999. This was followed by an operation. Since everything was clean, no further treatment was indicated. Barely four years later, in August 2003,Yin suffered severe pains in her backbone. A bone scan indicated metastasis, involving the left scapula and T10 vertebra. An MRI of the spine indicated compression fracture of T8 and T9 and mild bulges of L3/4, L4/5 and L5/S1 discs.  The CT scan indicated a small right thyroid nodule and bilateral pleural effusion (fluid in both lungs).

Yin was 67 years old when she suffered this recurrence. Consultation with three oncologists in Kuala Lumpur yielded the same opinion – Go for chemotherapy and radiotherapy.  However, the treatment would be only palliative. It would not cure her. At best it was only to promote her quality of life. The prognosis by these cancer experts was six months to live! Yin said she would rather die than undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She had seen how two of her brothers suffered and died while undergoing these treatments.

Yin’s son decided to bring her mother to see us on 23 September 2003. Yin was started on Capsule A, Cervical Tea, Utero-ovary Tea, Bone Tea, Lung Tea and C-Tea. Within six months after taking these herbs, Yin’s life was restored to normalcy and she was free of pains.

On 28 November 2006, i.e., more than three years after her visit to us, we had the opportunity to talk with Yin. She presented as a happy, pleasant and simple-minded lady. She had since put on weight and looked very healthy.

Q: Aunty, how are you now? We met before in Penang!

A: Yes. It’s been a long time since I saw you. Nowadays, I am quite busy looking after my grandchildren. I am very well – no difficulties.  I can do normal things and have no problems.   Once in a while I have a little headache or a low fever, but they are nothing much.  I can eat well. I eat rice and noodles.  I do not eat outside food.  Whenever I am free, I play mahjong. After I send my grandchildren to school, I would go walking around and do some exercises.

Q:  How were you before you started on the herbs?

A:  I had backache. I couldn’t walk, eat or sleep. I couldn’t get up or stand up.  Whenever I lie down, I couldn’t get up by myself.  I needed someone to help me get up.  When I went to Penang, I had to have someone to hold and guide me along. It was a really difficult time for me.  But after taking the herbs, all my difficulties disappeared.

Q: Can you tell us what happened from the beginning?

Son:  In 1999, she was diagnosed with cancer of the cervix. She had an operation but no chemotherapy or radiotherapy. She was not given any drugs either.  She was given a clean bill by the surgeon who operated on her.  But four years later, in 2003 – she had back pains.  The pains persisted even after her seeing two or three GPs. Then I sent her back to see the surgeon who did a thorough check-up on her. At the nuclear centre, they did a bone scan and found growth at the 8th and 9th vertebrae.  Her left shoulder and her lung were also affected.  Then I went to see the oncologists, one after another. All the three top oncologists in Kuala Lumpur recommended the same thing. The first oncologist wanted to do radiotherapy and chemotherapy. I went for a second opinion – the second oncologist also said the same thing after seeing the report – chemotherapy and radiotherapy! The third oncologist, my old friend, also said the same thing – radiation and chemotherapy.  I went home and told my mother about this. She replied: No, I will take anything except radiation and chemotherapy.

Q: Why did you refuse to go for chemotherapy and radiotherapy?

A:  I was afraid.  I have seen people losing their hair.  My elder brother and my second brother had liver cancer.  They went for radiotherapy and chemotherapy.  They could not walk nor eat.  Then their hair started to drop until they were bald.  Despite the treatment, they also suffered and were in pain. They died later. So, when my son told me I had to go for chemotherapy and radiatherapy, I said I did not want the treatments.

Son:  So the only person I could think of was you, Dr. Teo.

Q: (To son) If she had agreed to chemotherapy and radiotherapy, would you have allowed that?

Son: All three oncologists talked the same language.  The treatment of this disease, they told me, was about preserving quality of life – to reduce suffering and pain. The oncologist said: Her bones and lungs are affected – and her ovary too. In the treatment of cancer, we talk about quality of life, to reduce the suffering. My mother was then 67 years old.  These doctors thought she could go through all these treatments. They said what choice have I got?  They never use the word cure. I told the oncologist: Thank you very much. One of the oncologists was my friend.  Although I was expected to spend about RM100,000 or so, I would not know whether she would have any chance of a cure or not.

Q: They just talked about six months of quality life?

Son: Yeah, six months or a year.  Nobody knew.

Q: What did you think of the oncologists’ opinion?

Son:  No difference between them. From what they told me, I felt that basically, that was the end of my mother’s time already.

Q: (To the son) When you brought your mother to see us, what other choice did you have?

Son:  No choice, actually.  Let me tell you one incident. Sometime in 2005, she fell sick.  I asked my brother and sister to bring her to a specialist who had operated on her earlier.  I suspected she had a viral infection.  I was having a meeting in the office when I got a phone call from my brother who said that the doctor had scolded them: Your mother is sick you know.  How is it that since 1999 until now you have not brought her here for treatment? He scolded them.  I called him and said,Doc, give me ten minutes and I will be there. Ten minutes later, I was there in his office.  I explained what had happened since 1999, the recurrence that occurred in 2003 and what the three oncologists had said to me, etc.  After all these, I told him: I went to see Prof. Chris Teo. I told him again that my mother had not gone for radiotherapy or chemotherapy and that she was taking herbs from CA Care, and today, she is still alive.  She is still here.  Immediately he said: Okay, I understand!

Q:  (To son) You came here and she was started on the herbs?

A:  On Thursday (September 2003) I drove my mother to see you in Penang. During the journey, I had to stop every half an hour on the road because she was in pain. She needed to change her sitting position.

Q: Aunty, how was it for you after you started taking the herbs?

A:  After I took the herbs for about one month, I could get up slowly and sit by myself. Before that, I could not sit up at all. I needed to recline all he time, supported by a pillow.  The pain also slowly reduced after I took the herbs. I became more alert, bit by bit.  After about three months, I became quite well. I could walk around and bathe myself. Before that my daughter or daughter-in-law had to bathe me.  I could not even stand up. By the third month, I could do all these things by myself.  I could get up myself.  Before that, someone had to prop me up.  And I would walk very, very slowly. At the time when I went to Penang to see you I was in great pain.  It was very difficult for me even to sit.

Q: At that time, were you on any medication?

Son: Bonefos and pain killers.  And worse come to the worse, we had to give her the morphine tablets.  And at the same time the doctors recommended radiation and chemotherapy.

A:  When I took the doctor’s medicine, the pain lessened.  But after a while, the pain came back again.  After starting on the herbs, the pain slowly lessened. I continued with the pain tea for about five to six months and the pains disappeared completely.  And since then, there is no more pain. Now I can sleep on my bed – lie flat on my back.  Before that I had to sleep on a deck chair (lazy chair) for months.  Now, I can sleep straight and in any position I like.  With your herbs, I have no more problems.

Q: Aunty, when you were in pain, what were your thoughts?  Were you afraid?

A: Yes, I was afraid.  It was so painful, I wished I were dead.  If I die, there would be no more pain. I preferred to die.  It was really painful.

Q:  Was the pain there all the time? Or was there pain only when you moved?

A:  Day and night – there was pain whether or not I lay down. It was a pulling kind of pain. And there was so much pain that I could not stand it anymore.  I preferred to die.

Update: It is with sadness to know that Yin died in 2011 because of a heart attack and not because of her cancer.  She had been taking the herbs for EIGHT years.

Healing Crisis

It is possible that after taking the recommended herbs, you may experience discomforts such as diarrhea, fatigue and even intense pain. Your condition seems to be worse than before. If this is what you experience, DO NOT WORRY. What you are experiencing is called healing crisis. CONTINUE TAKING THE HERBS! However, if the problem continues for too long and you are getting worse each day, it is advisable to stop taking the herbs first and seek advice. Generally, after a few days, the intensity of such discomforts decreases with each day. You will gain strength and your condition will improve after some days.

A healing crisis occurs as a result of the body engaging in the process of eliminating the toxins that it has accumulated over the years. Now the toxins are being liberated from their storage places within you and they are affecting the body in full force, resulting in rashes, boils, itchiness, swelling, phlegm and even intense pain. When the process of elimination has been sufficiently accomplished, your health improves.

During this detoxification process, do not take any drugs or medication to suppress the symptoms. Allow the healing process to proceed without hindrance. For example, you may experience diarrhea for three days. You should allow this to happen and take more fluid to aid the cleansing process. Perhaps on the fourth day, the diarrhea may just stop automatically. Of course you must not be too complacent as well. If your health deteriorates with each day or the problem persists for too long, then stop taking the herbs and seek professional advice or see your doctor immediately.

The healing crisis is recognized in all systems of natural healing. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is known as the law of cure.

Lymphoma Recurred Two Years After Intensive Chemo – Took Herbs and Remained Well

Siew (A948) was 20 years old when he suffered high fevers on and off in 1996. There was also a lump on the left side of his neck. He consulted a Chinese sinseh who told him that this was due to heatiness. Since the problem persisted,

The treatment consisted of the following:

Induction Phase

  1. Vincristine on days 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.
  2. Daunorubicin on days 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.
  3. Prednisolone on days 1 to 22.
  4. L-asparaginase on days 15 to 28.

After the induction phase, treatment rested for 2 weeks and phase 2 started as follows:

Phase 2

  1. Cyclophosphamide on days 26 and 50.
  2. Ara C (andriamycin) on days 13 to 16, 43 to 46, 50 to 53 and 57 to 60.
  3. 6-MP, throughout cranial irradiation.
  4. MTX
  5. Cranial irradiation for 15 times.

After completion of Phase 2, treatment rested for 2 weeks and continued with:

Phase 3

  1. Mitoxanthrone on days 2 and 3.
  2. Ara C on days 1 to 4.

On 31 July 1997, Siew’s liver enzymes were elevated and HbsAg was reactive. His   doctor thought this was probably due to blood transfusion related hepatitis. Further chemotherapy was withheld. Siew’s liver function returned to normal and the ultrasound of his abdomen was also normal. A Bone Marrow Aspiration (BMA) done on 17 September 1997, showed no evidence of infiltration.

From 1 October 1997, Siew was treated with MTX, L-asparaginase, folinic acide and methotrexate. On 29 October 1997, another BMA was performed and the result was negative. More chemotherapy treatments followed on regular basis until May 1998.

Siew was on oral medication in 1999. In 2000 he seemed to be well and was not on any medication. In July 2000, Siew came to seek our help. He was prescribed some herbs but that first visit was also his last visit to us.

About 2 years later, in March 2002, Siew came back to see us again. He presented with:

  1. Feeling of heaviness in his head.
  2. Tiredness.
  3. Swellings on the right side of his neck. There were pulling sensations with slight pains.

We suggested that Siew go back to his doctors at the hospital for further medical treatment. Siew flatly refused. He told us that the doctor wanted to do a biopsy of the lump. He also knew that he would most likely have to undergo chemotherapy again. Siew said that in the past he had been very lucky to get out of the hospital alive. While in the hospital receiving treatment, he saw many patients in similar situation did not make it and died.

We respected Siew’s decision to opt for herbs instead of chemotherapy. We cautioned him that the lumps in his neck may not go away. And there would be no guarantee that he would be better either. Siew and his wife understood the risks he was taking.

Siew felt better after one week on the herbs.  His head did feel heavy anymore. The lumps in his neck seemed to loosen up and there were no more pulling sensations. However, he still felt tired.

After about two months on the herbs, Siew noticed that the neck swelling seemed to increase in size. Also, there were additional lumps. However, Siew’s health was good.

After about a year on herbs, Siew reported that he had less episodes of fevers compared to previous time. However, sometimes he felt heaty. Our Heat Flu herbs helped him resolved this problem. At an earlier occasion, Siew showed us there were 3 lumps forming a loose cluster in his neck. But by then, two lumps had disappeared. The size of the remaining lump has gone smaller.

As of this writing, April 2009, it has been 7 years since Siew decided to abandon medical intervention and came to see. During this period, he took our herbs very religiously and kept to our recommended diet. Siew appeared well and did not suffer any problem. He is well to this day.

On 12 April 2009, we had a short chat with Siew and his wife. Following are excerpts of our conversation.

Chris (C): You look good.

C: You had cancer in 1997?

S: Yes. There was a lump at my neck. I went to GH for my chemo.

C: How long was your chemotherapy?

S: About 2 years, in and out of hospital.

W: After that it came back. In one and a half years, there was a big lump again.

S:  Now there is also a lump.

W:  But it is very small, so very tiny.

C: Let me see. Why is it red?

S:  I touched it.

W: Cannot feel it any more. Last time, I could easily feel it. It was much bigger.

S:  Last time, I can feel it as soon as I place my hand on the neck. Now, I have to really feel for it. I have to press into the neck to find it.

W: Like you say: Live with it.

C: In these seven years, do you have any problems?

S:  Not really. Sometimes I may have a bit of fever.

W: Very seldom now. Last time, it was very often.

C:  I remember, you used to have fevers very often.

W: In agreement.

S:  When I get a headache, the fever will also come.

W: But it is nothing serious.

C: So, after the chemo, there was a recurrence?

W: The doctor wanted him to go for biopsy. But he ran away.

(Everybody laughing)

C: The doctor recommended chemo?

S: But they wanted to do a biopsy first.

W: I brought him out of the hospital.

S: She brought me home. She helped me run away.

C:  What made you do that?

W:  We already know that it is cancer. What is the point of doing another biopsy? It does not make sense.  That was how I thought then. So, I brought him here. I don’t like the idea of disturbing the lump.

S:  To me it is alright to do the biopsy. But after that, they want me to do chemotherapy. I do not want to do anymore chemotherapy. My wife’s way of thinking gave me a way (a choice) to refuse chemo.

W:  He did not want to do any more chemotherapy as he suffered badly when he had his chemo before.

C: Was chemotherapy so terrible?

W: He even fainted on the road at one time.

S:  It was a black out – but it was only for a short period of time. It was during my chemotherapy days.

W: And his liver was also affected. There was nothing wrong with his liver before the chemotherapy. The doctor said he had hepatitis and all sorts of thing. They wanted him to take more medications. Since he had a choice, he chose to come here. We did exactly what you told us to do. He drank apple juice and juice extracted from the leaves of seven needles plant and all that.

C:  I remember. When you first came, I was also worried for you.

S:  At that time, I was only twenty plus years old.  Now I am already thirty plus years old.

W: But the most important thing is the food he eats.

S: If I were to go for chemo, I cannot do any work.

C: You mean, the two years during your chemotherapy, you did not work?

S:  Yes, I did not work.  You see, I cannot eat well. I vomited. I felt weak.

C: What about your memory?

S: Not bad.

W: You forget very easily. You do not have good memory.

S: Of course I can remember whatever happened a day or two ago. But for things that happened too long ago, I don’t remember very well.

W: He does not remember faces. Cannot recognize people he met.

C: Compare to the time before your chemo. Is there a difference in your memory?

S & W: Yes. There is a difference.

S: I forget more easily. I am not as sharp as before.

W: He is quite slow.

S: (In agreement) Yes. When I talk, it is not like before. I do not speak as fluently as before. Sort of become a bit blunt. Not as sharp as before.

W: And his hair is not as much as before. It had thinned a lot. And it had not grown back to as much as before.

S: When I talk, at times I cannot express myself well. I could not find the words to say whatever I wanted to say.

C:  Before your chemotherapy, do you experience this?

S:  No, never.

W: The only thing is he cannot eat what everybody else eats.

C:  Don’t think so much about eating.

S:  That is not important, that I am alive is good enough.

Comment

We have documented a similar case with Devi. She had a relapse soon after chemotherapy was completed. She took herbs and regained her health. It has been 12 years and Devi is still doing fine, leading a normal life. So Siew’s healing is not a fluke shot! It is a repeat of Devi’s case. Repeatability and this is what science is all about!

As of 2011, Siew is in perfect health and still taking the herbs. He has a very caring and supportive wife.

The Story of Devi: A lady lawyer about 40 years old, afflicted by Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

(Reproduced from our book: Cancer Yet They Live)

Sometime in June 1997
Devi was diagnosed as having lymphoma. After finishing all medical treatments she came to CA Care on 18 August 1998 and started on the Cancer Care Therapy. On 18 March 1999 we met up with Devi and documented her conditions on video tape. The following are excerpts of our conversation.

Q:  What happened to you?

A:  I was diagnosed as having lymphoma two years ago.  There was a conflict over the treatment I was to receive.  One oncologist said I could be cured by radiation. A few others felt that chemotherapy was the best solution.  I opted for chemotherapy.

After my first dose of chemotherapy, my entire digestive system was badly affected.  I spent two weeks in hospital, dosed with morphine.  They could not discover why I was reacting that way.

Q:  Why were you on morphine?

A:  Because I was in pain.  The moment I consumed food, I had very severe pain.  I was lying in the hospital for two weeks until one day I went berserk because I had an overdose of morphine…I was not getting any better.  I have a nice surgeon who performed the operation and when he visited me I told him that I was not getting any better.  He agreed. It doesn’t look like you are.  Do you want to be discharged?, he asked. So, I discharged myself.

I went to a clinic that practised chelation therapy and the doctor asked me what sort of diet I was on? I was told to stop taking solid food and to go on fruits, vegetables, semi-solids and fluids. Within two days on the recommended diet, the pain was gone.

Q:  Did you take any other medication?

A:   No. I was only on the diet, no medication whatsoever. I was on fruits, vegetables and semi-solids.  Within a month, my digestive system was back to normal.  After that month,  I had to decide whether I wanted to go back for my next course of chemotherapy. I was really afraid of even considering chemotherapy.  The doctor thought that it was best that I went back for radiotherapy.  I went for 30 cycles of radiotherapy and then an extra five cycles.

Q:  You stopped chemotherapy totally?

A:  Yes.  I did not want any chemotherapy. The radiotherapy was done five days a week, continuously.

Q:  After the radiation, what happened to you?

A: Comparatively,  I handled the radiation quite well.  After radiation, I was sent for a scan and the doctor said there was no evidence of cancer.  That was it, I thought that was the end.  I never even conceived that the cancer (was) coming back again.  I thought I was cured. Exactly a year later, I had a relapse of the lymphoma.

Q:  After the radiation, you thought you were cured.  Did you go back to your old diet?

A:  Yes, I went back to my old lifestyle. I forgot about the fruit juices.  I had a relapse of the cancer, this time in the abdominal region. There was no pain, but a feeling of uneasiness in the abdominal region.  I was sent for a CT scan.  They detected tumours in the abdominal region.  The doctor said radiation was out.  I went for six cycles of chemotherapy.   The problem I faced during the chemotherapy was that after each session of the chemotherapy, even for the first dose, my white blood count used to drop to 0.7 … really rock bottom.

Each time my blood count went down, I was in the hospital for at least five days.  I was given a series of injections to boost the blood count. The chemotherapy I had was one session every three weeks.

After six sessions of chemotherapy, I went for a scan.  There was no sign of cancer. I was alright.

However, I  was feeling lost again after the chemotherapy. There was a fear in me, like what would happen if the cancer comes back.  It had come back the previous time.  Would there be any drug or anything that I could go on taking that could keep the cancer at bay? The doctor said there was really nothing that I could do. Go for a check-up, look out for signs and if there was anything, go for a scan.

Q: Did you go for check-up regularly?

A:  Yes.  Firstly, it was every month.  Then every two months.

Q:  Why then, do you go for the herbs?

A:  As I said earlier, after the chemotherapy that is the end of the road.  Medically, they have nothing else to offer you. When I was in the hospital I heard patients talking about the rodent tuber. But nobody had really tried it out.  So, I told myself that if medical science had nothing to offer me after this, the only other option available to me would be to move to nature. I had this feeling in me —  we are so busy trying to develop things to cure ourselves that very often we overlook that the answer to all our cures is actually out there in nature.

I felt that I had nothing to lose by trying the rodent tuber.  And that was when I came to see you.

Q:  When you came to see me, were you feeling alright?

A:  No, when I came to see you, I had just finished my six cycles of chemotherapy and I was feeling very weak.

Q:  When you first started taking the herbs, what was your initial reaction?  Were you sceptical about it?

A; Quite honestly, I was a bit sceptical.  But at the same time, I thought it was my only hope. When you have an illness like cancer, you would grasp at any straw that is being held out to you.

Q:  After taking the herbs, did you find confidence or get any help at all?

A:  As time went on, I could actually feel my body recovering much faster. I felt much better. I was healthier and much more alive.  I used to be half-dead.

Q:  Do you really feel better or is it just a placebo effect?

No, no, no.  I could really feel my body responding. For one thing, I could really feel, I had more energy.  When I was undergoing my chemotherapy, and when I had finished my chemotherapy, there were times when I feel like I did not want to get out of my bed.  I just got up to eat and then went back to my bed again.  But after taking the herbs, I could feel myself building up energy and I was more active.  And right now, I am healthy enough and I have even gone back to work.

Q:  Before you took the herbs and while you were on medical treatments, did you go back to work?

A:  No …  for seven months.

Q:  When you were on the herbs you began to pick yourself up?

A:  Yes, I had more energy.  I was more alive and hope started to build up.  It affected me psychologically as well.  I began to feel I was getting better.  I went back to life the way it should be instead of just lying in bed. So, I started work and I am back full-time.

Q:  How many months have you already been on the herbs?

A:  About six months.

Q:  What about your diet?

A:  I am more of a vegetarian now, I keep off red meat and sea food except for fish. I eat fruits and vegetables.

Q:  Some people say that if I cannot take my favourite food, life if not worth living. What is your comment to that ?

A:  What I have to say to those people is, life is worth more than just your favourite food.  It is a very small sacrifice to make.  Life is much more that just food.

Q: You were a meat eater before and now you are a vegetarian.  Many people say that if you don’t  eat meat, you have no strength.  What have you got to say about that?

A;  No, not really.  In fact, I feel much healthier now that I cut meat out of my diet.  I have not lost energy at all.

On the subject of spirituality, Devi has this to say:

Many people are sceptical about God. … You ask a lot of people and they say they do not believe in God. But one thing I do know. I noticed that what really helps me out, apart from the diet and  the herbs were religion and prayer.  They gave me a lot of inner strength and belief.  I found that it made a world of difference when I started praying, Before, I wasn’t an atheist, nor was I praying regularly. At times when I hit a real low, I would pray and I would meditate. That really helped to alleviate me out of my depression.  Sometimes, I find the relief quite instantaneously.

Q: What kind of relief?

A: When you are talking about depression.  It just hits you.  When I was undergoing chemotherapy and my blood count dropped,  I would be so listless, I could hardly eat anything. I had a feeling that I was not going to make it. It was then that I started going into prayer and meditation.  When I finished I was more calm and the “I am not going to make it feeling” wasn’t there anymore.  You feel that you can handle this kind of thing.

Q:  You have been taking the herbs for the last six months, do you find at any one time during this period that  you feel depressed and that you are not going to make it?

A:  No.

Q:  You are confident that you are going to go through it?

A: Yes.

Q:  Do you go for your medical check-up?

A: Yes.

Q: So far so good?

A: Yes.  I told my doctor that I was on herbal treatment, meditation and prayer.  And during the last check up, he asked me if I am still on the herbs, prayer and mediation ? … I said, yes, very religiously.  And he just laughed!

Note: As of this writing – 2011, Devi is still doing fine and is still taking the herbs!

Multiple Myeloma: e-CA Care Therapy Helped After Twenty-eight Cycles of Chemotherapy Failed Him

Goh (H443) was 58-years old when he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma – a rather rare cancer in Malaysia. His problem started in October 2006 when he complained of indigestion and acid reflux. He went to see a gastroenterologist. Examination showed he had polyps and fatty liver. It was noted that he was anemic (low blood) with low platelet count. A biopsy was done and indicated multiple myeloma.

Goh was referred to a haematologist in a private hospital in Kuala Lumpur. A repeat bone marrow biopsy was performed and confirmed that he had a plasma cell neoplasia, which quite extensively infiltrate the bone marrow.  The marrow cytogenetic analysis showed a complex karyotype which is seen in multiple myeloma.

Goh immediately underwent chemotherapy with Cyclophosphamide, Dexamethasone, Zometa and Thalidomide.  Each of this monthly chemo cycle cost about RM 4,000.  Goh received a total of 22 cycles.

About three years later, in May 2009, Trephine biopsy showed: “Multip0le myeloma with some residual disease.” Goh was asked to undergo another 33 cycles of chemotherapy. A new drug, Velcade – bortezomib  –  was used this time.  This was the so-called targeted therapy and was given intravenously (injection into the vein) twice weekly. Each cycle of this chemo cost about RM 7,000. Goh was told that even if he underwent this treatment  he would get another relapse in two years time. In other words, this treatment would not cure him. In total Goh said he had already spent about RM200,0000 for his treatment.

Goh received 6 cycles of Velcade and suffered severe side effects. He had difficulty breathing and had to be hospitalized. He decided to give up further treatment and came to seek our help on 29 October 2010. In fact we were rather reluctant to prescribe him any herbs for reason that we did not have any experience in healing multiple myeloma unlike other common cancers.  However, Goh insisted that he would like to try our herbs.

  • He presented with severe numbness of the hands and legs. The problem occurred in the evening and at night. He was alright in the morning.
  • He was unable to withstand cold.
  • He was always tired.
  • He had difficulty sleeping and fall asleep around 2 to 3 a.m.

Five months on the herbs and later on the e-Therapy, Goh reported that:

  • He could sleep well.
  • His appetite had improved.
  • His high blood pressure had become normal. Before taking the herbs it was 150+/90+. After taking the herbs it became 120/80.

His blood test results showed a slight improvement after taking the herbs. More important is that his health did not deteriorate (Table below).

25 Oct. 2010 12 Dec. 2010 1 March 2011
Haemoglobin 11.5 12.7 12.5
RBC 3.4 3.7 3.8
Platelet count 135 174 143
WBC 3.9 5.0 3.8
Lymphocyte 28 58 41

Literature Review on Velcade

The US-FDA approved this drug for the treatment of multiple myeloma in May 2003. It is also approved for mantle cell lymphoma.

Proof of Effectiveness

  • The effectiveness of Velcade is based on response rates.
  • There were no controlled trials demonstrating a clinical benefit, such as an improvement in survival.

Approval of Velcade was based on a study of 202 patients. Patients were administered with Velcade injection twice weekly for 2 weeks, followed by a 10-day rest period (21-day treatment cycle) for a maximum of 8 treatment cycles.

Results showed:

  • 2.7%  achieved a complete response (i.e., 100% disappearance of the original monoclonal protein from blood and urine on at least 2 determinations at least 6 weeks apart by immunofixation, and <5% plasma cells in the 133 bone marrow on at least two determinations for a minimum of six weeks, stable bone disease and calcium).
  • 25% achieved a partial response (50% reduction in serum myeloma protein and 90% reduction of urine myeloma protein on at least 2 occasions for a minimum of at least 6 weeks, stable bone disease and calcium).
  • 17.6% demonstrated a clinical remission (75% reduction in serum myeloma protein and/or 90% reduction of urine myeloma protein on at least 2 occasions for a minimum of at least 6 weeks, stable bone disease and calcium).
  • Overall response rate = 27.7%.

Comments

Mayo Clinic in the United States, is one the world’s premier multiple myeloma treatment centers, with more than 60 years of experience treating this blood disorder. Mayo claimed that although no cure exists. Treatments can prolong survival and greatly improve patients’ quality of life.

Take note that even an outstanding hospital in the world says there is no cure for multiple myeloma. Then, as most oncologists would say, their treatment can prolong life and improve quality of life – do you believe that?

Treatments for Multiple Myeloma

Patients may be asked to undergo the following:

1.       Stem-cell transplantation or autologous stem-cell therapy. This involves transfusion of the patient’s own immature blood cells to replace diseased or damaged marrow. This procedure cannot cure myeloma but it can prolong survival.

2.       For those who are not candidates for transplant, then chemotherapy is offered using  any of the following regimens:

  • Melphalan, prednisone, thalidomide (MPT)
  • Bortezomib (Velcade), melphalan, prednisone (VMP)
  • Lenalidomide plus low-dose dexamethasone.

In this case, Goh received Dexamethasone, Zometa and Thalidomide. Goh received a total of 22 cycles over a period of two years. The treatment did not cure him. About a year after the completion of the treatment he suffered a relapse.

Goh was asked to undergo another 33 cycles of chemotherapy using Velcade. After 6 cycles with Velcade he had to be hospitalized for breathing difficulty. It was then that Goh realized the futile effort of chemotherapy. He decided to stop further medical treatment.

Before patients under any chemotherapy /or radiotherapy, it would be prudent for them to ask some basic questions, such as:

  • How effective is the recommended regimen or procedure? What can it do for you? A review of literature indicates that Velcade does not cure multiple myeloma. Its effectiveness is shown as nothing more than a  “response”. It is really disappointing. It has never shown to even prolong life, let alone cure.
  • What are the side effects? Weigh out the harm versus the benefit. You can be sure that treatment with Velcade comes with a host of side effects. In fact, Goh is now experiencing these problems.
  • How much does the treatment package cost? In this case, Goh  would have to spend another RM250,000 for the treatment what would not cure him. This is in addition to the RM100,000 already spent on the first round of chemotherapy.

Having understood your odds – ask this question: Is it worth the gamble? Goh came to seek our help as a last resort. He knew about CA Care long before but he would rather go for medical treatment. Now, he knew that he had taken the wrong path. Five months on the herbs, his health has not deteriorated!  In fact he got better and his quality of life has improved. Liver Metastasis: No Chemotherapy – Fourteen Years Still On Herbs

Koh/342, was 75-year-old when she was diagnosed with colon cancer in 1997. She underwent an operation. An ultrasound done on 15 July 1997 indicated ill defined masses in the right lobe of the liver. The left lobe appear spared but slight dilatation of the ducts are seen. Conclusion: liver metastasis.

Due to her age, she did not undergo any further medical treatment. Her daughter came to seek our help   on 25 July 1997. Koh was started on Capsule A & B and Liver Tea. Her conditions improved. Her pains disappeared. She was able to eat and sleep well. She was able to lead a normal life and could even go marketing every morning.

Seven weeks on the herbs, the daughter told us that a medical checkup showed her condition had stablised. Her doctor told the family: Continue taking the herbs!

On 8 October 1997, Koh’s daughter told us that according to the doctor, the liver nodules had shrunk. Their sizes had become smaller.

On 6 June 2003, the daughter came to collect herbs for her mother. Koh was in good health. This means Koh has lived for already six years.

On 25 March 2011, Koh’s daughter came to collect herbs for her mother. We had a rare opportunity to chat with her. Below is the video recording on that day.

According to medical literature, up to 70% of patients with colorectal cancer would eventually end up with metastasis to the liver. Unfortunately, chemotherapy does not cure metastatic liver cancer. In general, the mean survival for patients with minimal disease is 16 months, while those with advanced disease it is 3 months. Generally patients who come to us are often told by their doctors that they have only 6 months to live.

In this case, Koh is still healthy for her age. And she is about to celebrate her 90th birthday. It was 14 years ago that she was diagnosed with metastatic liver cancer. She was only on herbs, no medical treatment at all. Indeed this is an unexpected and unbelievable but true story.

In CA Care we often see miraculous cases like this do happen. In fact is this kind of story that makes us “tick” and encourage us to want to continue our work so that many more can also be equally blessed.

Unfortunately we cannot give you more details about this case. This happened 14 years ago and at that time, we just started CA Care. We made no video recording of patient who came to see us, unlike what we are doing today.

There are many factors that contribute to the success of this case.

One, Koh is indeed very lucky to be at 75 years old when she had cancer. Her doctor had the good sense to think that chemotherapy was not going to help her. The scenario would have been different if she was younger. No one is going to take chances!  And most probably she might or might not survive the treatment.   There is always this rationale – You are young, give yourself a chance and fight your cancer with chemo. In this case, not only the doctor but all family members did not have that will to fight. It turned out to be a blessing for Koh.

Two, there are two kinds of doctors. One kind would take the heroic task of trying to solve problems even if the problem is unsolvable. Fight and fight – change one drug to another, and see what the outcome is. The war only stops when the patient dies.  Another kind of doctor is one who sees the bigger picture.  For this I must admire Dr. Jerome Groopman, professor and oncologist at Harvard School of Medicine. For this wise professor, pressing for a solution when none is apparent can be the worst course of action – “Picking up a scalpel and cutting can be just the wrong thing” when you don’t see the whole picture. Groopman wrote: “Don’t just do something, stand there” as he counsels against the impulse to jump in and do things.

In another story, a son brought his 85-year old mother, who had breast-liver cancer, to an oncologist. After taking the drugs, she became severely breathless and fainted.  She had to be rushed to a hospital for emergency care. Read more here: https://cancercaremalaysia.com/2011/03/30/breast-liver-cancer-just-wait-for-her-time/

Three, a nurse told Koh and her family members about CA Care. They believed what they heard! What could have happened if they had just brushed it off (like many do) as hocus pocus?

A lesson to learn from this story: Don’t ever think that the cancer is going to be “cured”, that is to say, permanently eliminated. Doctors normally  define “cure” as living past 5 years. This is not cure in its true sense. Koh tried not to take the herbs when she became well. The cancer started to come back. In this instance, it was lucky that she came back to us and started to take the herbs again. Things like this happen often. When patients get well they forget all that we taught them! And the cancer came back.

Breast-Liver Cancer: Just Wait For Her Time

ST (c27) was 85 years old when she was diagnosed with left breast cancer. She underwent a mastectomy on 17 December 1999. Due to her old age, no chemotherapy or radiotherapy was indicated. However, she was asked to take Tamoxifen.

In November 2003, ST complained of pains in her left chest wall and back. Clinically the doctor could not find anything significant.

A chest X-ray indicated lesion in the right lung field raising the possibility of infection or metastasis. An ultrasound of her abdomen indicated a large multiseptated cystic lesion in the left lobe measuring about 3 x 3.1 x 3.2 cm. A CT scan of the thorax indicated a mass measuring 2 x 3 x 3 cm in the posterior segment of the right upper lobe. This lesion may represent a metastasis or CA of the lung. There are a few defined cystic lesions in the liver with small calcification seen in the right lobe. This observation raised the possibility of cystic liver metastasis. There were degenerative changes of the thoracic spine.

The doctors were unable to do anything much for ST. The family was told: “Due to her age, there is no need to do anything. Just wait for her time.” ST was sent home with a supply of morphine.

Not satisfied, ST’s son brought his mother to another hospital. An oncologist prescribed her some drugs. ST became severely breathless and fainted after taking the drugs. ST had to be rushed to a hospital for emergency care.

Since modern medicine could not help her any more, ST’s son came to seek our help on 19 March 2004. He told us that his mother:

  • Was in pains and had to take morphine twice a day. Without the morphine her whole body was in pain.
  • Had no appetite.
  • Was constipated, and since the past one week was unable to move her bowels.

The family had left ST to the care of a nursing home since the past two months. We prescribed Capsule A and B, Liver P tea, Lung Tea and Constipation Tea.

After a few weeks on the herbs, ST did not need to take anymore morphine. Her pains were totally gone.  In addition, ST was able to eat and sleep well. She would walk around by herself. ST had since left the nursing home to live by herself in her own home. She could go about doing her house chores without any help. ST continued to take the herbs.

On 2 September 2010, i.e., more than six years later, ST remained well with no complaints. She had no pains, could eat and sleep well. And up to this day is living by herself in her own home.

Listen to what her son said.

Never give up and never say die! This is the message of this story. If medicine has given up on you, don’t give up yet. Please remember what Albert Einstein – the greatest scientist of the 20th century – said: Insanity is to do things over and over again and expecting different results. For an elderly person of 85, does it make sense to prescribe chemo-drugs for her? What do you expect to achieve?  ST almost died because of the drugs.

Perhaps if you are open minded enough you can find someone or something else that can help you. After all there is nothing to lose but to gain by going for alternative medicine!

It is satisfying to note that after her healing, we have helped the son, grandchildren and great grandchildren of ST with our herbs. We came with problems from flu, coughs, sinus, insomnia, lactation, detoxification, etc.

Some may say, herbs are not proven. But in this case the so-called proven, scientific medicine could do nothing much anyway. Fortunately enough in this case, herbs had proven to be really beneficial to ST – beyond the imagination of any scientist. When the doctor asked the family to “wait for her time”, ST had waited for more than six years now and she is still waiting and living a healthy life. What a blessing indeed.

Breast Cancer: Medically “Cured” By Herbs But What Could Have Happened If She Continued With Chemotherapy?

NAM (T225) was 49 years old when she discovered a lump in her left breast. A tru-cut biopsy in April 2005 indicated invasive ductal carcinoma, Grade 2. She subsequently underwent a surgery at a government hospital. The HPE confirmed infiltrating ductal carcinoma. One of the axillary lymph node was positive for cancer.

On 25 May 2005, NAM underwent one cycle of chemotherapy using FEC (5-FU, Epirubicin and Cyclophosphamide).  She suffered total hair loss. Her heart beat was rapid and this caused breathing difficulty. Her stomach was uncomfortably “gassy.”

NAM came to seek our help on 3 June 2005. She presented with:

  • Pulling pains on her head.
  • Stomach uncomfortable due to wind.
  • At times, breathing was not comfortable.
  • Nails were dark, black circles under the eyes.

About five weeks on the herbs, NAM came back and said that the pulling pains were gone.  She informed us that she had decided not to continue with the chemotherapy. She had only done one cycle and was supposed to do six.

Blood test done on 8 August 2005 showed elevated liver function values.  She was prescribed liver herbs in addition to the herbs for her breast cancer. So in all, NAM had to take: Capsule A and B, LL-tea, Breast M and Liver-1 teas.

On 14 January 2011, NAM came back to see us and reported that she has been doing well. She looked good and had put on weight.  For some time she lived in Kuala Lumpur, baby-sitting her two grandchildren.

Looking at her records over the past five plus years, there are only two significant events.

  1. On 11 December 2005, NAM suffered from hot flashes – one of the symptoms of menopause. Her menses had stopped since May 2005 after her first cycle of chemotherapy.  NAM was prescribed Menopause Pills and her problem resolved.
  2. On 31 March 2006, NAM reported that she had her menses – the first since May 2005.

Comments

NAM has survived more than five years. Patients tell us that their doctors say if they survive five years, they are considered cured. Some patients also tell us that they spent sleepless nights looking forward to crossing this “cure-cut-off-point.”  After they cross this point, some become reckless.

How wrong these people can be. Experience tells us that cancer can recur even after five years. Our auntie had lung metastasis (from cancer of cervix) after 13 years. A breast cancer survivor in our church had brain metastasis after nine years. According to Dr. Karrison, patients need to survive for 20 to 25 years before we can say they are cured (J. Nat. Cancer Inst. 91:80-85).

So, what is this idea about five years as being a cure?  Know that the number five is just an arbitrary figure. There is no scientific basis for choosing this number.  Dr. David Johnson, deputy director of Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center explained it this way:  The five-year benchmark becomes a balm for doctors and patients who find the unpredictability of their situations intolerable. Physicians are reluctant to say you might recur, so they would rather use these terms like: “OK, in five years, you’ll be cured.”

So, in reality, to say that medicine cannot cure cancer is unthinkable. And to ask patients to wait 20 to 25 years before being considered cure is far too long a wait. Surely, these truths, if revealed, would be   bad for business!

NAM had her first cycle of chemotherapy. She suffered badly.  Her liver functions were derailed. She decided to stop further chemotherapy. And even without chemotherapy she survived. The herbs and healthy diet helped her.

According to normal protocol, in a case like NAM’s, in addition to six cycles of chemotherapy, she would probably have to undergo radiation plus consuming Tamoxifen, knowing that one of her lymph was positive for cancer. Let us pose this question: What could have happened if NAM were to continue with her six cycles of chemotherapy or undergo all those treatments? Would she be around today? Probably yes, or probably not. Or, even if she is around, could she have collected more cancer in other parts of her body, such as bone, liver or lung? Or even brain?  Read what we wrote about the many failed medical treatment for breast cancer.

The most important message of this case is not about who wins or who loses; who is right or who is better. Take note that even if NAM has so far survived her breast cancer, we did warn her not to be complacent. She would have to continue doing what she has been doing all these years. Do not deviate from this healing path. Keep going and be happy.

Lung Cancer: Pain and Sleepless Night after Chinese New Year Dinner

Sujo (M858) is a 58-year-old male from Indonesia. Sometime in August 2010, he complained of breathlessness when climbing the stairs. A check up with a GP in Medan indicated fluid in his lungs.  Sujo came to a private hospital in Penang in October 2010. A CT scan indicated gross left pleural effusion associated with severe lung collapse. There was lytic lesion at T4 vertebral body associated with erosion. His liver showed fatty infiltration.

Two liters of fluid were tapped out of his lung. A pleural biopsy showed a papillary, gland forming malignant neoplasm. According to the HPE report, a possible diagnosis includes:

  1. Papillary adenocarcinoma of pleural origin – malignant mesothelioma, or
  2. Metastatic adenocarcinoma from a primary in the bronchus/lung.

Sujo went to an oncologist at the cancer hospital for a second opinion. His blood test on 21 October 2010 showed CEA = 85.86 and CA19.9 = 78.6. Sujo was asked to undergo chemotherapy, which he promptly rejected.

Instead, on 22 October 2010, Sujo came to seek our help. He had no symptoms and was prescribed Capsule A, Lung 1 and 2 teas, Bone Tea and C-tea. After taking these herbs, Suja came back to see us twice and reported that his health had improved. He was able to eat, sleep and walk distance without any problem. His breathlessness had resolved. His bowels movements were good.

Pain After Chinese New Year Dinner

Sujo and his wife told us that on the eve of the Chinese New Year (2011) Sujo took chicken curry (only the gravy not the chicken). Besides that he also ate steam fish with salted beans (tau chiau). Two days later, on the morning of the second day of CNY, he suffered severe pains.  Sujo said: “I am very tolerant to pain. But this pain was so severe that I cried. I have never cried before in my life.” It was a “pulling pain” and he was not able to lie down. He had to sit upright and the pain lasted from 8 to 9 p.m. until 3 a.m.  Then he would fall asleep for about 2 hours. The pains persisted every day.  Sujo took the painkiller, Tramadol 50 mg – once or twice a day. But the medication did not relieve his pains.

Sujo confirmed that before this dinner, he did not have any pain at all. The pains only came after the dinner.

Sujo came to see us on 13 February 2010. He presented with severe pains in the back and shoulder blade. He had partially lost his voice. Acugraph reading showed his Qi was very low. The past 8 days or so, he was not able to sleep.

Seeing  Sujo’s condition, we put him on the e-therapy right away. See below for the amazing results.

Day e-therapy Response
13 February 2011 – night Detox 2  (34 minutes) Next morning, less pain and was able to sleep whole night.
14 February 2011 – morning Detox 3  (51 minutes)Loss of voice  (32 minutes) Next morning, pain reduced. No problem sleeping. Voice returning – louder.
15 February 2011 – morning Intercostal  (24 minutes) Loss of voice  (32 minutes) Lumbago FS  (20 minutes) Next morning. Pain 70% gone. Pain mainly at “Shingle” area suffered since 4 years ago.         Voice even louder. No problem with sleep.
16 February 2011 – morning Detox 3   (51 minutes)Shingles  (35 minutes) Next morning. Over all condition better than the previous morning.
17 February 2011 Detox 3  (51 minutes)Shingles  (35 minutes) Sujo is going home to Medan tomorrow morning. He looks good – health restored!

For most people, an auspicious day (may it be Christmas, Valentine, Thanksgiving, or whatever) generally calls for a celebrative feast. And very often cancer patients find it a good excuse to indulge in the food that they like. Of course, most of them could not get away from such folly after that. Last year, KM – who had colon-liver cancer and had survived for three years, decided to celebrate the 2011 Chinese New Year in style. He ate fried chicken, etc. Almost immediately he landed in the hospital with severe pains, He died after that. Now we have Sujo who did about the same thing like KM. His wife said: “I thought it is okay to eat such food since it is Chinese New Year!” Unfortunately, cancer does not understand Chinese culture!

Some people may wish to dispute that the pains had nothing to do with the dinner! Of course there is scientific proof to substantiate such connection. But common sense and experience tell me so. Let me give you some stories.

My close relative was brought to my house. She was in a semi-concious state with limbs all stiff. Not knowing what had happened the logical thing to do was to send her to the nearest private hospital immediately. She was admitted.  In the meantime, I had the opportunity to find out what had happened. This relative had been eating a few of kilos of “dokong /duku” before the problem. She ended having a bloated stomach and went to see a GP who prescribed certain medication. After this medication, she become semi-concious and her limbs turned stiff.

While we waited around her hospital bed, the neurologist came.  With an air of authority and competence he insisted that a lumbar puncture be done. I humbly tried to suggest to the learned doctor that this could be the result of the drug that she had just taken. No, he would hear it – go for the lumbar puncture. Preparation was underway for the procedure and it was almost mid-night when my relative awakened! She refused the procedure!  The next morning, she was discharged and we became poorer by RM1,500! That was the cost of one night hospitalization without doing anything significant.

There was this man from Medan who had lung cancer. He was supposed to undergo radiotherapy that day, but unfortunately the machine broke down. Since he was free, he walked around the hospital and saw some durians. He and his son feasted on the durian – that was about 3 p.m. By 6 p.m. the man became breathless and had to be admitted into the ICU. A CT scan was done. Nothing appeared wrong on the film! The son asked the doctor if this was due to the durian. The doctor said, NO, nothing to do with the durian!

Bob had liver cancer that had spread to his lungs. His doctors told him there was no treatment and he would just go home and wait for his time. He came to CA Care and was started on the herbs. His health was restored. After being “well” Bob started to eat what he liked. A few days later he came back to us feeling “half dead”. The next day he died. Listen to what he said by clicking this link: http://cacare.com/index.php?option=com_easyfaq&task=view&id=338&Itemid=39

The story of June is worth repeating. June vomited and had to be hospitalized. Two hours before June vomited she was in perfect health. Her problem started after she ate a packet of nasi briyani at 4 p.m. By 6 p.m. the nausea and vomiting started. By about mid-night June was admitted into the hospital. One doctors said: “Based on my experience this is due to her recurrent cancer.” June was asked to undergo chemotherapy immediately. My advice was: “Do nothing! Try to flush out the “rubbish” in her stomach.” Of course the oncologists were upset. Anyway, ten days later June walked out of the hospital – without the chemo of course! Listen to her story by clicking this link: http://cacare.com/index.php?option=com_easyfaq&task=view&id=340&Itemid=39

In the case of Sujo, it is clear that for the past four months he was leading a pain-and-problem-free life. But on the second day of the Chinese New Year his life turned into “hell” – how could that be? He must have done something different or wrong. That was the question I posed to him and his wife.

The pains did not go away, and lasted for about eight days. Tramadol could not help him. When he came to CA Care on 13 February 2011 he was still in pain. But the next morning, 14 February 2011, the pain almost disappeared and he was able to sleep that night.

Okay, ask this question: Could the pains just appear and disappear without any reason? Common sense tells us that something must have happened to trigger the event. In the first instance he ate bad food – hence the pain. In the second instance, he was on the e-therapy for 34 minutes and the pains almost disappeared! Of course all these problems do not show up in a CT scan or MRI. So let us not waste time and money doing these procedures.

While in Penang, Sujo had his blood test done. The results are as follows:

Before receiving his latest results, I was a bit skeptical – not knowing what to expect. But it was indeed a blessing to see that both his CEA and CA19.9 had gone down by about 30% and 24% respectively after 4 months on our therapy.  Impressive results indeed bearing in mind that he did not receive any medical treatment!

Most amazing of all is the healing of his pain. When he came, we told both Sujo and his wife that we expected to solve his problem by about a week. So they should be prepared to stay that long in Penang. Based on experience, we were rather confident that the pain would go away after undergoing  the e-therapy. Apart from our experience, we have no other option! Undergoing the e-therapy at CA Care in Penang is free-of-charge (only for our cancer patients!).  The next morning, we were glad to be able to tell Sujo and his wife that they were really blessed! The e-therapy was effective for his pains and loss of voice. Most important Sujo was able to sleep.  After three days, we were very happy  to be able to tell Sujo and his wife that they  could go home to Medan! Amazing healing indeed!
