Sixty-six–year-old Sarawakian Recovered from Covid!

In my earlier articles I wrote about patients with covid who recovered from their infections after taking herbal tea. Now, in this article, you’ll  see that I learnt that you may not need any herbal tea to recover from your covid!

This is a case of a 66-year-old man from Sarawak. Let’s call him James (not his real name). He has been fully vaccinated with 3 doses of Pfizer. The booster dose was given about 3 months ago.

Tuesday 15 March 2022

His problems started with a bit of itchy throat and very light cough on day 1. On day 2, he developed a bit of fever and sore throat.

The following were his symptoms:

  1. Fever.
  2. Cough. Itchy dry cough with no phlegm.
  3. Headache. Slight.
  4. Sore throat. Slight.
  5. Runny nose. A bit.

Home Antigen test indicated  positive for covid.

Were you on any doctor’s medication? No. But I am on daily hypertension medication.

I reported my case in MySejahtera and they asked me to visit the CAC (Covid-19 Assessment Center) on Day 3.

What did they say on Day 3?  On Day 3 they gave me a standard covid assessment and recorded my case. They then informed me to come back to them immediately if my symptoms get worse or call their emergency number. They gave me another appointment to come back on Day 7.

What did they say on Day 7?  On Day 7, they gave me another assessment. They gave me my home quarantine discharge letter and told me that MySejahtera will be reverted to green at 12.00 midnight.

What medicine did you take? I took Panadol (till Day 3 only ) and also cough syrup which I bought from the pharmacy.

Did the medicine help you? The Panadol helped control the fever. The cough was getting better but there was still cough now and then.

Actually, I am a bit worried that my present cough may develop into a chronic one. I remember your Cough 11 used to helped me stop my prolong coughing.

Recovery without any further treatment

How are you now?  On Day 7, my health was 90% restored.

When did you feel you have recovered? On Day 6.

Using the self test kit, I was negative on Day 6 and Day 7.

After the recovery, do you still have any lingering symptoms such as cough, lack of energy, pain, loss of smell?

Now on Day 7,  I had just a bit of cough, itchy throat but with no phlegm. I hope to receive your Cough 11 asap and with that I hope my cough will go away soon.

Monday 28 March 2022

Dear Dr Chris, Thank you very much for your concern. I am happy to inform you that I have recovered from my cough 2 to 3 days after taking your Cough 11. Thank you very much.

Day 9 afternoon:  I take your Cough 11. That night, I can immediately feel that my cough has gotten much better. I can sleep much better.

Day 10 : I can feel my cough was improving much faster.

Day 11 (today): I can see that my cough has nearly recovered. Just a very little cough now and very occasionally. I believe that by tomorrow I should be considered recovered from my cough and hence all the symptoms of my Covid experience. (Note that I have already self tested Negative from Day 6),

Comments

1. According to the Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee website (https://sdmc.sarawak.gov.my/covid19/) the number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak as of 21 March 2022 were as follows:

The total number of new positive cases were 813, made up of the following:

  • Category 1 = 285 – No symptoms.
  • Category 2 = 520 – Slight symptoms.
  • Category 3 =     0 – Lung infection.
  • Category 4 =     2 – Lung infection and requires oxygen.
  • Category 5 =     6 – Lung infection and requires ventilator.

Look hard at the above numbers. What can you learn from this data? Yes, 813 people were down with covid but only 8 of them were considered “serious.” Will ALL these 8 people die from covid? No. Some would be able to recover if they get into the hospital in time.

So is covid such a scary monster ready to gobble us up if we go out of our house? Various countries put in place different ways to control this epidemic. Unfortunately, some went nowhere – the number of infections went up instead of down. It appears that some countries seems to “give up” and are now taking a more sensible option – let’s live with it. Yes, if you study the above data, I think it is a sensible proposition indeed – just learn to live with it! And at the time spend some efforts and resources to find ways to make the lives of those infected a more pleasant (not dreadful) experience.

 2. No need to panic!

I asked James this question: When you were first tested positive — how did you feel inside you? Afraid? Panic? What is in your mind at that time?

This was his answer: I felt worried. This was because I was with a few senior friends whom I thought might experience more complications than I if they do get infected.

I immediately informed them of my situation and reminded them to take care and get tested. Luckily they were all tested negative on day 1 and day 3. What a great relief for me!

Indeed this is a responsible behaviour. We need to be concern about other people too – not just thinking of own well being only. So, there is no need to panic. Fear and anxiety can make you perform irrational actions. So don’t be afraid and at the same time don’t be “conned” by those with Vested Interests. Know what you are doing.

James became his own doctor. He took Panadol to bring down his fever and bought cough syrup from the pharmacy to take care of his cough.

I asked James: Did you feel you can recover from this infection?

His answer: Yes, I believed that I could recover.  I could feel that I was having mild symptoms and was feeling rather okay.  However, I remembered that even when I had a normal flu/cough I used to take a longer time to recover. I have not had a flu/cough for quite a long time already.

3. Earlier I commented that actually there is no need to take my herbs! You can still recover from your covid! What do you think about this advice?

Good morning Dr Chris,

Let me try to share my thoughts.

Now after I myself had experienced the covid, I gradually realised that there are many people, some of whom are acquaintances, who also had the covid. In general most of them recovered without much problems but we do hear of some who took longer to recover. Now and then we also hear of some unfortunate and serious cases.

(These of course are the norms we all know but the only difference is we hear of them happening to those we know. Meaning the cases are getting “closer and closer to us” and may happen to those that we know now instead of just reading about statistics and reported cases in the news).

Those who recovered usually said that they take this and take that and so on. In my opinion, they may all contributed in some ways to their recovery, whatever they took, but I believe that some of what they believed helped them may be just fallacy.

1. I think my experience is just one of the many possible outcomes of a covid infection. There may be many who experienced similar outcomes but we cannot be sure that we will be having that same outcome.

2. The CAC (Pusat Penilaian Covid-19 ) said that if more severe symptoms were to appear, then we need to contact or visit them immediately. Luckily no more symptoms appeared. Well, what would have been the outcome if more symptoms appeared?

3. The ‘basic medication’ are panadol and cough syrup, I believe everyone knows and takes them. I only depended on them and recovered in 7 days.

4.  What if just taking the ‘basic medication’ is not enough? Would you only then prescribe them the herbs (Ko Gen) that you have?

5. I believe in “prevention first” and then cure later when necessary. So, my personal recommendation for another similar experience would still be to take your herbs. Yes?

6.  There are many people who believe in herbal treatments. I believe that they should be recommended to take the herbs from the beginning.

7.  There are so many health variables that determine the possible outcome. Some of course took many additional supplements which they believed helped them.

8. Well, so much from me and thank you very much for the herbs.

My short response to this: I think if you start taking the herbs immediately after being infected with covid, you may recover faster and/or you suffer less from those covid symptoms. All those who took the herbs were happy! On top of that, it does not cost a bomb! Very affordable.

The Herbal Tea Helped Her Recover From Covid-19

This is a case of a 32-year-old female who is currently working in Singapore.

17 March 2022

She suffered the following symptoms:

1.    Fever or chills

2.    Cough

3.    Headache

6.    Sore throat

7.    Fatigue

8.    Runny nose

9.    Muscle or body aches

10.  Loss of appetite

Home-kit and Rapid Antigen Test showed she was positive for covid.

In spite of the above symptoms she did not see any doctor for medication. She was solely on herbs.

She has been fully vaccinated and received the following:

Pfizer –  1st dose on 27 Jan 2021

2nd dose on 17 Feb 2021, and

Booster dose on13 October 2021

Herbal Tea

18 March 2022

• Took the first dose of herbal tea (Ko-Gen) on night of 18March 2022.

Went straight to bed after that, didn’t cough as bad as the  previous night and could sleep better.

Woke up the next morning feeling better.

Fever still on and off and throat feeling tight.

19 March 2022

•   Took second dose of herbal tea.

Not coughing as much but started to have phlegm, feeling more energetic and appetite  increased.

But still tired and dizzy.

No more fever.

Throat recovering but still feeling tight and dry.

20 March 2022

•     Took third dose of Ko-Gen.

Throat back to normal. Not tight anymore.

Not as tired as day before.

Still coughing with phlegm.

21 March 2022

•     Took fourth dose of Ko-Gen.

On and off light headed.

Occasional cough.

Phlegmy throat.

Felt lethargic / lack of energy.

22 March 2022

•     Took  the fifth dose of herbal tea.

Felt like I’ve recover but test kit is still showing a very clear positive.

Still clearing throat and a bit light headed.

23 March 2022

•   Took the sixth dose of herbal tea.

Test kit showed negative.

Still coughing occasionally.

A bit dizzy and lack of energy.

How are you after 6 days of herbal tea?

Health about 80% restored. Left with occasional cough and slightly light headed.

Do you think Ko-Gen helped you?

Yes. Especially after the first dose.

Did you have any problem with the taste of the herbs?

Ok with the taste. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

After your “recovery” do you still have lingering problems?                                                                                                          Yes, occasional cough, slight dizziness and lack of energy.

Comments

1. Three vaccinations did not protect her. She had received three jabs of Pfizer. These did not protect her from covid infection. She is not the only one who suffer this fate. My two sons, daughter and son-in-law have all been fully vaccinated and they too had covid. What and when is the end game?

2. Fourth booster shot? The drug companies – Pfizer and Moderna have come out with a scheme for a fourth booster shot. Now, the 4th booster has been offered in Israel, Belgium, Chile, Denmark, Hungary, etc.

Of course the drug companies are very happy if the idea catches on – more vaccines, more profit. If possible, give the whole world the fourth jab!

But what does “real, truthful” science has got to say about this fourth booster shot?

In an article Three, four or more: what’s the magic number for booster shots? (https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-00200-9) it says:

  • Some countries are now offering fourth doses, but scientists say that endless boosting might not be a viable strategy, nor is it how these vaccines were meant to be used.
  • Danny Altmann, an immunologist at Imperial College London said: “We’re in totally uncharted territory for vaccinology. We’ve stumbled into a de facto programme of frequent mRNA boosters as an emergency measure, but this really doesn’t feel like the way to go.”

In another article in Nature, it is said that the a four-dose course of the Pfizer vaccine was 30% more protective against infection than a three-dose course. But for Moderna, that extra efficacy was only 11% (https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-00486-9).

Miles Davenport, a computational immunologist at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia said: “Science seems to tell us that the current mRNA vaccines have already hit a “ceiling of immunity” after the third dose.”

3. Learn to live with covid. Let us face reality. Three shots of Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca did not prevent any of my family members (and other families as well) from getting covid.  What do you think the fourth jab can do to you?

Let’s take a pause and find another path! Let’s learn to live with the virus.  Let’s learn to be prepared for it and know what to do, when the day comes when we are infected with it. There is no need to panic or let our world turns upside down. My elder grandson took a cup of herbal tea and he recovered. His younger brother took two cups of tea and he too recovered. My two sons, daughter and son-in-law also took the herbal tea and they recovered within a week or so. Getting covid and recovering from it so no big deal at all, as you can learn from this case.

They were prepared for such eventuality and they did not fear it when covid struck them. In fact, we all saw this episode as a blessing!

Studies have shown that people who recover from covid develop some immunity against the virus. However, the level of protection and how long it lasts differs from person to person.

An article in JAMA (https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2782139) said:

  • After an infection with SARS-CoV-2, most people—even those with mild infections—appear to have some protection against the virus for at least a year,

A scientific brief put out by WHO on 10 May 2021, Covid-19 natural immunity said:

  • Natural infection may provide similar protection against symptomatic disease as vaccination.
  • Available scientific data suggests that in most people immune responses remain robust and protective against reinfection for at least 6-8 months after infection.

The website of the National Institutes of Health (USA) said:

Mother and Daughter Down With Covid

They took herbs and recovered

This is a case study of a 54-year-old mother and a  27-year-old daughter. Both had received 3 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine. They received their booster shots in January 2022.

Saturday 12 March 2022

The mother showed the following symptoms:

  • Feverish, slight.
  • Headache, a bit
  • Difficulty breathing – a bit tight
  • Sore throat
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches

The next day, Sunday 13 March 2022, the daughter had the  following symptoms:

  • Sore throat
  • Slight numbness in the leg
  • Disturbed sleep.
  • A bit of body ache

They did not go and see any doctor. Why? According to the mother, What is the use? The doctor is not going to be able to do anything. From the above symptoms they suspected they had  been infected with covid.

Indeed, a home-kit test showed that they were covid positive.

There is a Chinese Association (NGO) in their hometown which gives out herbal tea to those who are in need of covid remedy. Each person is given 3 packets of the herbal tea (photo below) which has already been boil. A person needs to drink half a packet, twice a day. She was also told that after drinking the 3 packets her problems would be resolved. This herbal tea is given free of charge.

She took the tea as recommended but in the evening of Tuesday 15 March 2022, both mother and daughter decided to switch to our Ko-Gen herbal tea. Our herbal tea comes in the form of raw herbs that needs boiling.

Wednesday 16 March 2022

After the first dose of herbal tea, the mother said her body felt lighter, she started to sweat and she felt better. She had more energy and was able to start cooking in the kitchen again. However, she had cough with white phlegm.

Daughter: She felt better and could work online at home but she had cough due to itchy throat. Also her sleep was better.

I told the mother to take Cough 5 for her cough with white phlegm and Cough 11 for daughter’s “itchy” cough.

Thursday 17 March 2020

After 2nd dose of herbal tea the mother developed more cough and her leg felt achy.

Friday 18 March 2020

After 3rd dose of herbal tea the mother felt much better. She had less cough with less phlegm. Ache in the legs also improved.

After taking Cough 11, the daughter’s cough improved.

Saturday  19  March 2020

The mother felt good but her test result was still positive.

The daughter seemed to recover. There was a bit of cough in the morning but by night there was no more cough.

Sunday 20 March 2020

After 5 doses of Ko-Gen, the mother felt her health had recovered by about 80% -90%. There was still a bit of soreness in the waist and leg, a bit of nose block but there were no more cough and sore throat.

The daughter had no more problem – fully recovered!

Comments

1. Both of them have been vaccinated and their booster shots were given in January 2022. About two months later they were infected with covid. It is now evident that even if you are fully vaccinated, you can still get covid. So we need to learn how to take care of ourselves. No one can help us to avoid this infection.

2.  The mother had two reactions after taking the herbs.

  • For the first 2 days the mother to sweat after taking the tea. After that she felt relief. But after the 3rd dose there was no more sweating as her health was restored.
  • The mother said after taking the tea she experienced good bowel movements like the intestine was being cleansed. But it was not diarrhoea.

3. Just as a matter of curiosity: Where did she get the virus from? No one can give an answer with certainty. We can just guess. Consider these possibilities:

  • Mother often goes to the wet market and walks around looking for whatever foodstuff to buy. At home she shared the apartment lift with many others. However, when outside she always wears face mask.
  • A few days before being tested positive for covid, the mother visited a close relative. At that time, this relative appeared to be healthy. However, this relative was tested positive for covid 2 days later.

Covid is very contagious and it spreads in many unsuspected ways. We just need to learn how to take of ourselves the best we can or know how.

4. It is most heartening to note that there are various associations, NGOs or religious bodies which are giving out free herbal teas to those in need. We should salute for their noble and generous efforts. Good work and keep it up!

5. Indeed covid seems to be everywhere these days. The good news is that only about 0.68% of covid cases are considered “serious” (i.e. in categories 3, 4 and 5) that need treatments in the hospital.

A majority of cases are in categories 1 and 2 which do not require hospitalization. For these people, sometimes they may not need any medication to recover from this infection. Just stay at home and have a good rest. With time they will get well. But some people may opt to take herbal tea to help them recover, as in the above story. It is your choice!

This case clearly shows us that when you are infected with covid, know that herbs can help you!

Four In the Family Tested Positive for Covid

They recovered after herbs

In the morning of 28 February 2022  I received a message from a friend in Jakarta, Indonesia. His two grandchildren, daughter and son-in-law  were all tested positive for covid. He needed help. I managed to get a herbalist in Jakarta to formulate Ko-Gen herbal tea for them.  This  is the fourth time I did this for Indonesian patients who needed help .

The Problem:

All in the family were infected with covid.

  • Grandson, 4 years old.
  • Grandson, 5 months.
  • Daughter, 36 years old. She is a medical doctor. She is still breast-feeding her baby.
  • Son-in-law, 36 years old. Also a medical doctor.

1. Children with Covid

  • Grandson, 4 years old. He had fever for 2 days.
  • Grandson, 5 months. He had fever for a day.

The two children did not take the herbal tea because it is too bitter for them.

Sunday 6 March 2022

Grandfather: Her children are already active – playing again. Even without the herbal tea, they got better! Covid for  children is not bad as the parents (old person).

Chris: No need for children to take herbs and they are still okay!

2. Daughter and Son-in-law with Covid

PCR test on 27 February 2022 confirmed both of them were covid positive.

Both had similar symptoms:

  1. Whole body ache
  2. Sore throat
  3. Dizzy
  4. Felt like having flu

The doctor prescribed  only vitamins and Panadol since the mother is still breast-feeding her baby.

Friday  4 March 2022

She received the herbs sent by her father from Jakarta and started to drink the first dose.

Saturday 5 March 2022

Took the second dose of Ko-Gen herbal tea.

Father:  When I talked to her, I could feel that her voice sounds like a person with a cold.

Sunday 6 March 2022

She took the third dose of Ko-Gen herbal tea.

Father: When I talked to my daughter this morning, her  voice is already normal!  She told me that her conditions had improved from day to day.

Monday 7 March 2022

She took the fourth dose of herbal tea.

Father:  From her voice, I know that she is now normal. She has no more sore throat.

Her husband also took the herbs but he was not fully recovered yet.

He still has a bit of phlegm in the morning.

His voice was still like a person who got flu.

My daughter seems to recover faster than her husband.

Tuesday 8 March 2022

My daughter:  90%   recovery.  Okay now. No more problem. Her voice is back to normal since 2 days ago.

Son-in-law :  80 % recovery. Body ache and dizziness all gone.

Grandchildren : Okay.

Wednesday 9 March 2022

Father:  Today I talk with my daughter. She is already normal. No more complaints.

Saturday 12 March 2022

Father: Yes, my son-in-law is already healed.

Chris: To confirm, both  your daughter and son-in-law had been vaccinated?

Father: No, my daughter did not get any vaccine. Only my son-in-law is vaccinated, 2 times with Sinovac. My daughter who did not get the vaccine recovered earlier.

Chris: Now, we know herbs help a lot.

Father: Yes, very good!

Comment

1. Money, money ! Each packet of herbs cost RM 35. The whole packet is used to make the tea for each day.  This was the fourth time we bought the herbs from this herbalist, meaning before this there were three other patients who also bought this herbal tea from the herbalist. Previously the cost of each packet was only RM27! With increased demand, this time the herbalist decided to charge RM35 per packet! Logical?

Take comfort, it is not as bad as selling oral covid medicine at US$721 when the cost to produce the drug is only US$17.75!

2. Fear of covid?  My advice is – Don’t panic! As with the case above, if we are tested positive for covid we may recover rather quickly,  if we know what to do to take care of ourselves.

3.  The first question I asked my friend before I went into a frenzy of getting herbs for his daughter’s family was: Does she want to take the herbs or not. I am fully aware that both the daughter and her husband are medical doctors. If they don’t believe in the medicinal value of herbs then there is no reason to “waste” time. Yes, the daughter wanted to take herbs!

4. Let’s ask some honest questions.  One way to learn and know the truth is to ask questions.

Real science points out flaws in its own research

Phony science pretends there were no flaws. Tim O’Shea

The above case study is very simple and straight forward.  And it can happen in many other families. But do you ever ask these questions below and see what your heart says.

a. The two boys – 5 months and 4 years old – they got covid. Why? The clever answer would be: Because they are not vaccinated. Do you agree with this?

b. The 36-year-old mother also got covid. Why? Same clever answer: Because she was not vaccinated.

c. The 36-year-old father also got covid. Why? The same clever answer is not valid anymore because he was vaccinated twice with Sinovac.

The first truth we need to know  is that vaccine does not prevent anyone from getting covid. Even if you have been vaccinated you can still be infected with covid, as in this case. And this is not the only case. There are many cases like this. The four adults in my children’s family have all been vaccinated and all of them were down with covid at the same time like my 2 grandsons who have NOT been vaccinated. So, it does not matter whether you are vaccinated or not, you still get covid. That is the reality.

d. So, why are we asked to go for vaccination? Here is a clever answer to this question:

  • Vaccination with two doses helps prevent infection. Take note, can help prevent only!
  • But for those that do still get infected, vaccination lessens the impact of the virus by reducing disease severity, transmission of infection and death.  Do you buy this answer?

e. Booster jab.

We are asked (or cornered into getting) a third dose.  What is the use of the third booster dose? There are two clever answers for this:

  • The protection offered by vaccines starts to weaken after 5 months for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
  • Getting a booster shot extends the protection, even against the delta and omicron variants.

So the booster is supposed to strengthen the function of the earlier two jabs. Answer well taken but how do you explain why my daughter  was infected with covid on 4 March 2022,  after she received her third booster dose in February 2022?  Does the booster shot really “made her stronger” against the virus?

On 3 March 2022 my eldest son received his third AZ booster dose and on 12 March 2022, he was down with covid?  Why? Did the booster really make him stronger?

They said the booster can boost prevention.  But that is not true. We need a much more credible answer than that! In real life it does not pan out that way!

f.  Is the recovery from covid faster in non-vaccinated or vaccinated person? Let us look at the fact of this case study.

  • Daughter, 36 years old. She is not vaccinated.
  • Son-in-law, 36 years old. He is vaccinated twice with Sinovac.

On Friday  4 March 2022: They started taking the Ko-Gen herbal tea for their covid infection.

On Monday 7 March 2022: The father reported the following results after taking the fourth dose of herbal tea.

  • I know that my daughter is now normal. She has no more sore throat.
  • Her husband also took the herbs but he is not fully recovered yet. He still has a bit of phlegm in the morning. His voice was still like a person who got flu.
  • My daughter seems to recover faster than her husband.

Take note: The non-vaccinated person recovers from her covid infection sooner than the vaccinated person. Can this be true?

Looking back at the cases of my children.

  • My son-in-law, 38 years old, was tested positive on 2 March 2022. He completed his two Moderna vaccination in August 2021. He did not receive the third booster jab.   After three doses of the herbal tea his health was restored to about 80%.  Then he was tested negative for covid.
  • My daughter, 38 years old, was tested positive on 4 March 2022. She received 2 jabs of Pfizer and boosted with Pfizer in February 2022. She took 6 doses of herbal tea to restore  90% of her health. She was still tested positive for covid after 8 days.
  • My son, 34 years old, was tested positive on 5 March 2022, initially with no symptoms. He was vaccinated twice with Pfizer and boosted with Pfizer on 31 October 2021. The symptoms started on 6 March and he took 4 doses of herbal tea. His health was 100% restored.

Where is the logic here? My impression is that if you are a non-vaccinated person, it will be “hell” and your recovery would be delayed. But that is NOT true as shown in this case study.

Then you have the case of my family members.

My daughter was supposed to be the most “fortified” because she had just received her booster jab. The reality is her recovery was the slowest among the three of them.

Indeed this is something new that has never ever crossed my mind.  I need more data to confirm this observation and understand what the real “truth” actually is. Can someone come up with a sensible answer and not just a clever answer? I tried to search the internet for an answer. I found none!

In the search for new knowledge, I am always reminded by the great words of Rabbi Harold Kushner below:

There is the morality of cleverness and wit, in which success means getting the better of the other person by means of a slick business deal or a clever answer

Then there is the morality of righteousness, in which the highest good is thoughtfulness toward others.

The worst sin is hurting another person.

Note: In writing this comment, let me assure you that I am not against anyone receiving any vaccine. Go ahead and follow what your heart says.  My wife and I have also received 3 doses of AZ – without them, according to the man-made SOPs, we would not be able to go out, and end up totally confined in our home! (Soon, this SOP is not valid anymore!). We were warned that if we do not take the third jab (by 1 March but now extended to 31 March), the earlier two jabs would be invalidated and we would then belong to the “unvaccinated” group! Is that logical? (I don’t know if this SOP is going to be implement come 1 April).

Secondly, my discussion here is to make you think! If you just become a “pak turut” (mister follower) you cannot progress. So learn how to think critically!

Discovery consists of seeing what everybody else has seen

And thinking what nobody else has thought. Albert Szent-Gyorgyi

The end game is, everyone of us wants to be healthy and remain safe. If we got covid, we want to recover well and as soon as possible.  How do we achieve that?

  • What happened after 2nd dose of Ko-Gen? Fever and better.
  • What happened after 3rd dose of Ko-Gen? Fever and better.
  • What happened after 4th dose of Ko-Gen?  All symptoms gone except a bit of cough.
  • In total how many times did you take Ko-Gen? 4 days / doses.
  • On the 4th day I had no symptoms but I still took the Ko-Gen. Health 100% restored.
  • Did you do any test after taking the herbs – to know if you are still positive?  No. I did not do the test since  I had no more symptoms. Only minor cough.
  • Do you think Ko-Gen  help you?  Yes
  • Did you have any problem with the taste of the herbs?   OK
  • After your  health was restored,  did you have any lingering problem? I have a lingering cough.

Note:  Every time I took the Ko-Gen I had increased fever. Once the fever subsided I felt better. On the 4th day of taking  Ko-Gen, my symptoms had disappeared. But I still took the herbal tea just to be sure. After the 4th day of Ko-Gen,  I had no increased fever or reaction.

Sixteen-Year-Old Down With Dengue and Covid

Health Restored After Herbs

A 16-year-old Indonesian female was admitted to the government hospital in Surabaya, due to dengue fever. Later she was tested positive for covid  and was moved to the isolation ward with many other patients.

Here are her answers to our questions:

  • When did your problem start? 25 February 2022.
  • Did you do any test to confirm if it was covid or not?    Yes. Both Rapid Antigen Test and PCR were positive.
  • Doctor said you had covid and also said you got dengue? Yes. The cause of my covid infection was due to the dengue fever that I had.
  • Were you on any doctor’s medication? Yes.
  • What medicine? I forgot the name.
  • When in the hospital, did you need to use oxygen? No, just infusion.

Herbal Therapy while in the hospital.

  • When did you start taking the Ko-Gen herbal tea?2 March 2022.
  • What happened after 1st dose of Ko-Gen?  30% better.
  • What happened after 2nd dose of Ko-Gen?  45% better.
  • What happened after 3rd dose of Ko-Gen? 60% better.
  • What happened after 4th dose of Ko-Gen? 70% better.
  • In total how many times did you take Ko-Gen? 6 times.
  • How are you now? Health 100%.  I forget the exact date, but it was a few days after being released from isolation. Oh yes, I was isolated for 1 week while in the hospital.
  • How many days were you in the hospital? Exactly one week.
  • Did you have any problem with the taste of the herbs?  Bad taste, too bitter for me.

Comments

1. This 16-year-old patient had covid. She had received two vaccinations with Sinovac before this infection. What does that mean? Simple – vaccination does not protect you from covid! So understand that.

2. Her  sister learned about the herbal tea for covid and decided to ask the patient to take the tea while she was still in the hospital. Yuk, the patient said. The hebal tea has such a bad taste – it is too bitter for me! Well, most people want things the easy way out. Do the minimum and hoping for the maximum. I have no apology for such attitude. Anyway, she had no other way out. She still had to drink the herbal tea!

Do you think the Ko-Gen herbal tea helped you?  This was her answer: Yes. I was in the isolation room with other covid patients and I was the earliest patient to be discharged from the hospital. I improved quickly after drinking Ko-Gen.

3 Drank herbal tea while in the hospital? Is that right? And she was better and was discharged? Believe that?

Two-plus-year-old and His Dad Down with Covid. Took herbs and recovered

Thursday 3 March 2022

Ireceived an email from Johor. Some years back, this person came to seek our help on behalf of his father who had cancer. His email:

Hello Professor,

It’s been a while since we last chat. I hope all is well on your end.

My 2 years and 4 months boy is infected with Covid.

Due to my boy being of young age, it’s difficult for us to keep him isolated. So I  do expect my family to be infected although we don’t have any symptoms now.

I am in JB now. Can you please send me some Ko-Gen herb? My boy does take TCM herbs with  the help of honey water. I would like to try your Ko-Gen herb.

Reply:  I am asking my son to rush the herbs to you. I am sending 2 packets. Keep one packet as standby. There may be many others who need it.

Friday 4 March 2022

Thanks for the thought, Professor. Indeed, I do need the extra pack as standby. Appreciate it.

Sunday 6 March 2022

I took the package from the courier centre.

Can I confirm 1 more time, for my boy. It’s 1 tablespoon with 3 bowls water boiled into 1 bowl?

This morning, my Covid test is positive.

1. Case of the 2-year-4-month-old Boy

Wednesday, 2 March 2022

He developed high fever (38.5C).

Doctor prescribed him: Paracetamol, cough and flu medicine. Paracetamol to keep his fever in control.

Had the following symptoms:

1. Fever

2. Cough

3. Fatigue

4. Runny nose

5. No appetite

Did you do any test to confirm if it was covid?   Yes. Both home test kit and PCR confirmed covid positive.

Did the doctor medication help?

  • My son’s fever was under control. No more fever after 2 days.
  • Cough and runny nose persist.
  • He is still not very active.
  • His appetite is not very good. Eating 50% of usual intake.

Sunday, 6 March 2022

Started on Ko-Gen herbal tea.

Dosage: 1 tablespoon – boiled. He can take with encouragement and honey.

Monday 7 March 2022

Chris: Today is second day on the herbs. How is your son doing?

  • Son is back active.
  • No more runny nose.
  • Still got a bit of cough.
  • Appetite is improving.

Chris: Your son brought the covid home? Where do you think he got it from?

He likely brought it back from school.

Tuesday 8 March 2022

  • My son almost 100% recovered except a bit of cough –  only 2 to 3 times a day.
  • No phlegm. Not bad cough.
  • I expect it will clear off in a day or two.
  • He doesn’t look sick anymore.

Wednesday 9 March 2022

  • Son looks like 100% recovered. No more cough for past 24 hrs.

Thursday 10 March 2022

Chris: You boy is okay now?

  • Boy is 100% ok.

Friday 11 March 2022

  • Today test my boy using home test kit. Result still positive.

I am not bothered about it as long as he can eat, can sleep and is active with no symptom.

2. Case of 39-year-old Father

Both me and my wife are vaccinated with 3 dose of Pfizer.

Sunday 6 March 2022

Test indicated positive for covid.

The symptoms are:

  1. Sore throat
  2. Runny nose
  3. Cough

Started on Ko-Gen 2 herbal tea.

Dosage: 6  tablespoons – boil in 3 cups water reduced to 1 cup.

Monday 7 March 2022

  • My sore throat is gone.
  • Cough and runny nose become more obvious but I feel better.
  • Today I am taking 2 times of Ko-Gen 2.

Tuesday 8 March 2022

  • My runny nose stop.
  • Cough still persists with some phlegm.
  • New symptom, feeling thirsty most of the time.
  • Overall feel better each day.

Wednesday 9 March 2022

  • Took coconut water yesterday after your advice.
  • Today cough subsides. Cough not too bad. May be 3 – 4 times a day. Still with some phlegm.
  • Sore throat is gone.

Thursday 10 March 2022

  • Symptom not much different from yesterday.
  • Will still Cough occasionally (2 – 3 times/day) with phlegm.
  • Energy level is good.
  • Thirsty feeling or rather heaty feeling still around.

Friday 11 March 2022

Very much the same like yesterday.

Saturday 12 March 2022

Today cough and phlegm seems to go away.

I realize I shouldn’t use the word thirsty. It’s actually dry mouth and lips which require constant moisture with water. A sip of water or gargle with water will work. Today this symptom seems to reduce too.

The heaty feeling is reduced as well. Heaty feeling is because of ulcer on lips and few “cut feeling” on tongue.

Wife is ok.

Monday 14 March 2022

Hi Professor,

  • Today is first day that all symptoms are gone.
  • No more cough and heaty feeling.
  • My boy is doing very well.

Took Ko-Gen 2, total of 6 times .Took Ko-Gen 1, total of  4 times (1 time each day).

Example day 2 after I took Ko-Gen 2, sore throat is gone. During Ko-Gen 2 I don’t feel much of heaty or dry lips symptom.

Comments

1. Fear due to lack of knowledge.

I admit I have a lot more to learn about this covid problem. At first, my impression was fear – yes, with all the dreadful statistics and man-made SOPs to abide with and the punishments that went with if you fail to comply, (probably due to ignorance or confusion) who is not afraid?

Then, I thought old people are most vulnerable and old people like me can die if they get covid. Good that I am wrong too on this point!

2. Covid in children and the elderly.

If you look at the statistic put out by the Ministry of Health below  only 5.9%  of those who got covid were between 60 to 69 years old. Covid affected only 2.6% of patients who were between 70 to 79 years old. Hurray, I am 78 years old! My wife and I are still covid-free  but when will covid strike us?

Covid Cases by Age Group (https://covidnow.moh.gov.my/cases/)

What is new to me is that covid also infected babies and young children. I have a case where a 5-month-old baby was positive for covid together with his 4-year-old brother. My grandchildren are 4 years old and 6 years old – they too got covid. From the above data, it appears that young children are more vulnerable to covid than old folks like me.

3. Covid – is it a big deal?

The other wrong impression I had was that if  young children are infected with covid, it is “hell” serious and life threatening.  They are young and they don’t know how to take care of themselves. I am wrong on this too. Some children don’t even need treatment to recover from covid. Some like my grandchildren recovered after one or two days after drinking the herbal tea for covid.

In the case presented here, he is only 2 years and 4 months old. He has not be vaccinated like his father and mother. He developed high fever with cough, fatigue, runny nose and loss of appetite.  Yes, the doctor prescribed him medication. While his fever was brought under control (with Panadol), he still suffered from the other covid symptoms. That was when his father wrote to me asking for help.

He took a tablespoon of Ko-Gen herbal tea. The father wrote:  My son is back, active. No more runny nose. His appetite is improving. But he still has a bit of cough. After three days the father wrote to inform me that his son is already back to normal — 100% okay.  Bravo!!!! So, my message is there is no need to panic (unless it is a severe case).

4. Covid cases among kids are rising!

The  Straits Times of 17 February 2022 reported that there was an 160% increase in Covid-19 infections among kids below age 12 in Malaysia (https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se-asia/malaysia-says-160-increase-in-covid-19-infections-among-kids-below-age-12).

The website Code Blue (https://codeblue.galencentre.org/2021/10/05/covid-19-cases-among-under-12-children-exceed-teens-elderly-in-malaysia/) reported that Covid-19 infections among children below the age of 12 were almost double the number of cases among adolescents and the elderly in August and September 2021.

This sharp rise in the number of paediatric cases, which also includes admissions. may be due to the recent opening of schools.

Dr Maria Van Kerkhove  of WHO explained  Children & Covid-19 (https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/media-resources/science-in-5/episode-22—children-covid-19?gclid=Cj0KCQiAmpyRBhC-ARIsABs2EAraRdPZREQykZ7vzC978pMDJgyGx9DGXhcGuDMdinVFKDPi245hpBwaAnICEALw_wcB).

  • Luckily, children and adolescents tend to have more mild disease compared to adults.
  • Especially in the youngest children, they tend to be more mild, which means they don’t have as many symptoms as adults do.
  • Some children may have gastrointestinal symptoms like diarrhoea or vomiting, but they tend to be more mild.
  • And even most children tend to have asymptomatic infection, which means they don’t have any symptoms at all.

Similarly, the website of NIH (https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/special-populations/children/) pointed out that:

  • SARS-CoV-2 infection is generally milder in children than in adults, and a substantial proportion of children with the disease have asymptomatic infection.
  • Most children with SARS-CoV-2 infection will not require any specific therapy.

Also take note, this 2 year-old plus boy has not been vaccinated! But his 39-year-old father had received Pfizer vaccines twice plus the booster. He too had covid. Why?

The same happened with my grandsons. They are not vaccinated and were infected with covid. Their parents have been vaccinated and they too got covid! So, what does that mean?

Do you ever wonder why the so-called “scientifically” proven vaccine do not protect them?  Another big debate on this topic! But I  would not go into it.

5. The most vulnerable group!

The age group that attracts the  most covid infections are those between 18 to 39 years old.  They made up about half (50.9%) of all covid cases.  I did not know this! Why? Because they often like to go to nightclubs?  And that is why they ban or do not support/encourage such outlets?

But whatever statistics say, there is no need to live in fear or there is no need to panic if you are infected with covid. You can get over this problem easily if you do the right thing.

Also let us accept the fact that sooner or later, you “healthy” people, may also be infected with covid. So let us just be prepared and in the meantime read and learn more about this covid.

Covid can cause brain shrinkage, memory loss, Oxford study finds

LONDON: Covid-19 can cause the brain to shrink, reduce grey matter in the regions that control emotion and memory, and damage areas that control the sense of smell, an Oxford University study has found.

The scientists said the effects were seen even in people who had not been hospitalised with Covid and whether the impact could be partially reversed or if they would persist in the long term needed further investigation.

https://560711ec9e79eac0094d71c5649462be.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html “There is strong evidence for brain-related abnormalities in Covid-19,” the researchers said in their study, which was released on Monday.

Even in mild cases, participants in the research showed “a worsening of executive function” responsible for focus and organising, and on an average brain sizes shrank between 0.2% and 2%.

Our Two Grandchildren Were Positive for Covid.

Recovered fast after taking herbal tea

Our grandsons: Jo is 6 years old and Matt is 4 years old.

Tuesday, 1 March 2022

Jo had started his fever around noon and the home test kit confirmed him positive for covid. We gave him Panadol. That evening, his younger brother Matt also started running a fever. They had runny nose with the occasional cough.  That night the boys went to bed with fever patches and Panadol. Matt ended up running a high fever through the night and had to be sponged.

Wednesday 2 March 2022

Jo appeared to recovered. No more fever but had runny nose. He was busy playing with his new Legos.

Matt’s fever would surge whenever the Panadol wore off. I think this tired him out.We continued to give him Panadol and sponge and herbal tea. He continued to have fever that night.

Thursday 3 March 2022

Both still taking the herbal tea once a day.Jo seemed to be over the hump already. His appetite is back and said he doesn’t feel sick anymore. Matt’s fever would come and go, and through the night.

Friday 4 March 2022

Both of them were okay! Back to normal.

Saturday 5 March 2022

Look at our heroes here!

Comments.

1. We were prepared. Based on what is going on now, it is just a matter of when our family members are going to be infected with covid. So, it is no surprise that Jo and Matt caught covid. The preschool that they go to were reporting positive cases of teachers or students every few days.

On the same morning that we were informed about Jo and Matt being positive, I received a message from a friend in Jakarta, Indonesia. His two grandchildren, daughter and son-in-law (both are doctors!) were tested positive for covid. He too needed help. I managed to get a herbalist in Jakarta to formulate herbal tea for them.

Then yesterday morning, I received an email for Johor Baru:

Hello Professor,

It’s been a while since we last chat. I hope all is well on your end.

My 27-month-boy is infected with Covid. He developed high fever (38.5C) since 2 March 2022. Doctor prescribed some paracetamol, cough and flu medicine for him.

Given his young age, I wonder if you have any suitable herbs that I can give him to relieve his symptom instead of relying on the paracetamol?

Symptoms: fever, cough, fatigue, runny nose and lack of appetite. Both home kit and PCR tests confirmed covid positive. Both me and my wife have been vaccinated with 3 doses of Pfizer.

This morning, while writing this article, a friend came to our house to ask for herbal tea – one of his family members has covid.

Covid cases appears to be everywhere now and my feeling is that it is not going to go away anytime soon. But, don’t worry so much.  There are herbs that can help you get over it.

When it comes to our family members, we were well prepared. We ask our children to stock up the Ko-Gen herbal tea as standby. So when covid happened we did not  panic!

2. My first case of covid infection in children. In early October 2021 I received a sms from a doctor who was once head of a hospital. This was the message:

Want to ask, do you have herbs for covid? Any advice for children with covid?

Symptoms: Fever, cough.

Stage: 2.

My grandson, age 8.

Not on ivermectin.

We prescribed Ko-Gen herbal tea. On 11 October 2021, we got this feed-back.

Excellent. My daughter-in-law (also a doctor) and my grandson with high fever and bad cough. Took the (covid) herbs and they felt relief. Fever plus cough subsided. They only took one dose and the next day the covid symptoms cleared.

Retested covid PCR recently. It was negative for both of them.

I was really happy to be able to help many friends overcome their problems with covid. The herbs that I used are common herbs which are well documented in the TCM medical literature. No big deal, just study them and you can find the answer!

3. With confidence, grandparents could sleep well! For Jo it was one day of fevers and he was back to normal. For Matt it was two days.Thank God for this wonderful blessing!

To see the positive side of things, to be able to face this situation with much confidence (and preparedness) helps to evaporate the fear of this diagnosis. There seems to be no big deal being infected with covid!

So why is the world “turned” upside down because of this fear? Is here a need to punish the ordinary ignorant folks with hefty fines or even sending them to prison just because he/she violates certain SOP.

The solution to our present problem is not to punish but to be humble enough to learn – If you don’t know, read and learn from others! Seek and you shall find the answer!  Don’t let others with Vested Interests take you for a “wild ride”!

I have read many comments on covid in the internet, but I have to refrain from sharing them here. Those with Vested Interests would not like it.

The two children in my nephew’s family were down with Covid.

Yesterday, 3rd March, Erfan participated in a mini chess tournament where he came  up third. He was runner-up during the previous one. Overall both are very  cheerful despite their  ordeal, being quarantined and missing the Saturday morning walks  and qikung with Pah Char and the  weekend sleepover at our house a few doors away.
