Before taking the herbs, Ana had no strength to walk. She had difficulty talking. Both her right hand and leg cramped. Because of this she was not able to pick anything with her right hand.

Two weeks on our herbs, Ana was better. About two and half months on the herbs,  her husband came back to report that Ana is doing very well. There was no more cramping of the hand and leg. Ana could now use her right hand normally. Her walking is also normal. One in a while she had headache. After taking the Pain Tea the headache went away.

Chris: Your wife benefited much from our therapy. I did not expect her to recover so soon. Let’s we grateful for that.

Husband: Now, my wife is having difficulty with her diet. She wanted to eat bread, etc. She was bored with her present diet now … eating corn, potato, etc.

C: Is your wife a person who is very choosy and fussy about her food?

H: Yes.

C: Oh no! If you wants to eat anything she likes, then so be it. Let her die la! This is the problem with most cancer patients. When they are dying they will follow what we tell them about their food. But the moment they become well, they started to complain about their food. They wanted to eat what they like!

Chris speaking to Ana on Whatsapp:  You have been doing so well now. You look good. Let me tell you — don’t simply eat anything you like. If you eat anything you like, you can die, understand?

Read the following two emails from her daughter:

Selamat sore dok, mau tanya dong. Apa bahan atau makanan² seperti roti atau biskuit, mie, gula atau lainnya dari bahan organik boleh dikonsumsi oleh pasien? Soalnya mama saya lagi pengen makan roti.

Translation:  Good afternoon doc, want to ask. Can ingredients or foods such as bread or biscuits, noodles, sugar or other organic ingredients be consumed by patients? The problem is that my mom wants to eat bread.

Reply: Tidak bisa. Mama kamu memang pasien yang susah nak dibantu. Saya sudah beritahu — makan tak betul, MATI.

Translation:  Cannot eat. Your mom is indeed a difficult patient to help. I already told her — eating wrongly, you DIE.

Selamat siang dok, saya mau tanya. Pasien mogok makan dan muntah terus. Kepala pening sakit sampai badan terasa panas semua. Kemarin cek dokter sini katanya kurang darah. Sekarang obat herbal ga diminum, hanya obat sakit kepala. Karena pasien kehilangan nafsu makan. Siap minum obat dimuntah semua keluar. Apa dokter ada saran? Terimakasih.

Translation: Good afternoon doc. I want to ask. Patient is on a hunger strike and vomits continuously. Dizzy, headaches until the body feels all hot. Yesterday the doctor here checked her and said  she lacked blood. Now she refuses to take the herbal medicine. Only taking headache medicine. The patient loses appetite. After taking the medicine she vomited out. Do you have a suggestion? Thanks.

Reply: I really don’t know!

Breast Cancer: An ignorant patient being misled! Breast tumour “burst”! Cancer spread to her brain.

Ana is a lady in her late forties. She lives in Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia. Some years ago, she had a lump in her breast. She consulted an herbalist in Kuala Lumpur who assured her that she can be cured. Ana was prescribed some herbs at the cost of RM5,000 month. Ana was on the treatment for more than a year but she did not get any better. The lump grew bigger and eventually “burst”. At this point, the herbalist gave up and told Ana to go for an operation since she could not help her anymore.

Part 1: Misled by an empty promise.

Ana went to a hospital in Melaka for a mastectomy in March 2015. After surgery, Ana was asked to go for chemotherapy. She sought the help of a medical doctor in Johor where she underwent a “special” chemo treatment: The protocol is a below:

  1. Initially Ana received one cycle of chemo very two weeks for 6 months. So Ana received 12 cycles of chemotherapy.
  2. After the initial 6 months, Ana received one cycle of chemo every three months. And this went on for about one and half years.
  3. Ana was scheduled for one cycle of chemo every 6 months. After Ana received one cycle of chemo, a PET scan in March 2019 showed the cancer had spread to her brain. There is a 3.0 cm lesion in her brain.

Ana’s husband said, he spent about RM2,000 to RM3,000 for each cycle of chemotherapy. PET scan was done once every three months. Now, with the brain metastasis, the doctor wanted her to undergo more chemo. And each chemo is going to cost more than the previous ones.

Part 2: After the mastectomy and chemotherapy, the cancer spread to her brain.

Ana’s husband came to seek our help in late March 2019. Ana had lost her memory and had difficulty talking. She could not walk because both her right hand and leg lacked strength.

Part 3: The Last Gamble – husband came to CA Care for help.

Before taking the herbs, Ana had no strength to walk. She had difficulty talking. Both her right hand and leg cramped. Because of this she was not able to pick anything with her right hand.

Two weeks on our herbs, Ana was better. She could talk although she had not fully recovered yet. About two and half months on the herbs,  her husband came back to report that Ana is doing very well. There was no more cramping of the hand and leg. Ana could now use her right hand normally. Her walking is also normal. One in a while she had headache. After taking the Pain Tea the headache went away.

Part 4: Her health was restored after two months on our therapy.

Brain Tumour: Amazing healing after four days on herbs

Eva is a 54-year-old Indonesian lady who had been having frequent headache for the past one year. Medication did not help her much. In late October 2018, she had a stroke. The limbs on the right side of her body were affected. She could not move her right arm but could move her right leg but not able to walk.

A CT scan showed a mass in her brain. The doctor prescribed Indexon which is actually a steroid, dexamethasone. A also took “mangosteen extract” (whatever that is).

For the past one month, Eva was in a serious vegetable-like state. She had to lie in bed, unable to talk and was totally unable to communicate or know what was going on around her. Her face was “blank” and she could not recognise anyone. She had headache on and off and she would moaned.

She was not hospitalised. Eva was just sent home and the doctor could not much for her.

Eva lived with the family of her sister-in-law. While socialising in the office, her sister-in-law shared Eva’s problem with a co-worker named David. David’s brother also had brain tumour. He underwent a surgery followed by radiotherapy. As a result he became blind. His suffered and was in bad shape — being unable to walk, etc. David’s brother eventually took our herbs and his health was back to normal but still remains blind. So David suggested that Eva follow our therapy.

On 9 November 2018, I received an email from David.

Good Afternoon Prof. How are you, I hope you are in good health.

My family has stage 3 brain cancer according to the hospital. Man, I want herbal treatment so I refer to Prof. for herbal medicine.

Just info prof. my sister will go to your place Tuesday. With my brother from Malaysia. And hand carry medical record (CT scan).

Eva’s sister-in-law came to our centre with the pictures below. I was devastated. How could I ever handle this case?

In our discussion that morning I laid out the following points clearly.

  1. This is a serious case. It did not happen only yesterday. The problem could have started some years ago. Then last year Eva’s condition deteriorated and she started to have headaches.
  2. What can we do now? Operation is not an option. That’s why Eva was sent home with only steroid medication.
  3. I am not god and I don’t want to play God either. Don’t expect the herbs to cure her. I have no magic bullet. So I really don’t know what I can do to help her.
  4. Our herbs are bitter and are difficult to take. You need to brew these teas. If she can swallow the capsules and drink the bitter tea, perhaps we can try. But if she cannot swallow and drink, there is nothing I can do.
  5. So you have to decide what you want to do. If you want give it a try I can prescribe you Capsule A, C, D and M. In addition Eva needs to drink Brain Tea 1 + PLM and Brain Tea 2. I can also give you SuperP — this is a plant-based protein supplement. Take these and let us see what happen. I can’t promise anything. Just try. But I know from experience that our Brain Teas are very good. I have helped many patients with these teas.
  6. Besides the herbs, you need to take care of the diet. Don’t eat anything with legs or that walks. That includes eggs or dairy products. Do not take sugar and oily food. No, you cannot take instant oat meal sold in the supermarket. That has sugar in it.
  7. If she gets well, please do not start eating “rubbish food” again. I know of many patients when they get well, the first thing they do is to start eating what they like. They conveniently forget what I told them. Please don’t do that.
  8. I expect her to suffer “healing crisis” in the next two weeks. She may vomit, may have more pain, etc. Don’t worry. Continue taking the herbs. Hopefully after three to four weeks the healing crisis goes away.
  9. After a month on the herbs, the only question I want to ask is, Do the herbs help you? Are you getting better?

At this point the sister-in-law asked: Do we need to go for another CT scan?

My answer: No, no. Don’t go for another CT scan. Do once is enough. Don’t have the illusion that the tumour is going to disappear after one month on herbs. If a CT scan were to show that the tumour is small or gone, I would not believe it! My herbs don’t do magic.

FOUR DAYS ON HERBS: Amazing healing

Eva’s sister-in-law came back to see us again three weeks later. She reported that Eva could talk and sing on the fourth day after taking the herbs! I told her I could not believe her story! Are you sure it is true? But I also know that with God’s blessing everything is possible. Thank God.

Watch to this video.

Chris: She took the herbs. Any problems? Can she drink those teas?

Sister-in-law: We remove the capsule and used the powder only. Yes, we prop her up and.she can take the herbs.

C: Bitter and awful taste — okay? She is not angry because she had to drink those herbs? In the first or second week after starting the herbs, did she suffer or have any problem.

S: Her condition improved and she can do the following:

  1. She can talk! Before the herbs she just had to lie down unable to communicate with anybody and is oblivious to her surroundings.  Four days after taking the herbs she can talk and communicate with us. She can even sing! She can talk and understand us. Yes she can answer questions.
  2. She can remember and recognize us. When friends come to visit she can recognize and greet them.
  3. She is able to sit down, before she had to lie down all day or had to be propped up.
  4. The pain and headache are almost gone. Before the herbs, she has pain on and off. When this is severe she moaned or screamed. No, she does not do this anymore.
  5. Her bowel movement is back to normal. Before the herbs, her stools are hard and we have to use our fingers to help “dig” it out.
  6. Her appetite is very much improved now.
  7. She has more energy.
  8. She can now move and lift up her right arm. Before, after the stroke she lost the ability to move her right arm.
  9. She can now walk slowly with help or support.
  10. Her facial expression looks good and fresh. She looks healthier.
  11. From day four until now, her health seems to be improving with each passing day.

C: This is indeed an amazing healing. I want to let you know that I cannot believe that story you have just told me. It does not seem to be possible. Four days on herbs and she gets better! It cannot be right. But I also know that with God everything is possible. So, let us be grateful to God for this blessing. Give thanks to God.

No, this story is too good to be true. God indeed helped her! Praise God. Go home and tell your pastor that.

But let me remind you that this is not a cure. You need to take care. Be careful and don’t do what is not right. Remember my advice, especially about the diet. Most patients when they just get well the first thing they do is go out and eat what they like.

Also continue to do what you are doing now. Don’t try to change anything. I must say I don’t know what else I can do to help her. So be patient. Healing takes time.

Comments

When Eva’s sister first came to seek our help, I must admit I was at a lost. Even after prescribing Eva the herbs, right down in my heart, I was not optimistic at all. Her condition is too serious. On top of that I was also not sure if she could take those bitter herbs or follow our instructions properly.

It is amazing that in such a depressing condition Eva took the herbs without any protest. Salute her for that!

Some patients, when told that the herbs are bitter or have awful taste, would automatically show their “sour faces or crooked nose” in protest. How to help such patients?

As much as I was NOT optimistic with this case, at the back of my mind, I also know that our Brain Teas are very good and have helped many patients. Even though Eva’s story is a big surprise and a big bonus, it is does not “shock” me. I have seen such miraculous healing before.

One case immediately comes to mind. This is about Prapti, a 21-year-old Indonesian lady. She had tumours in her brain and was lying comatose or unconscious in Jakarta’s Military Hospital. Medically she was written off. Everyone around her was just praying expecting her to die any time. A stranger passed by her ward and told her parents to try CA Care for help.

Prapti was fed our herbs. After two weeks she woke up from her “deep sleep” and was alive.

I had a chance to meet Prapti when I visited Jakarta. She had fully recovered (please, not cured!). She was such a sweet girl, and we decided to adopt her as our own daughter. I would make sure that she gets her supply of herbs. Prapti went on to study in a seminary and graduated.  One day Prapti expressed her desire to meet us again. Yes, we bought her the plane tickets to come and stay with us in Penang. Wonderful.

You may ask what had happened to Prapti now? This is a sad ending. After graduation Prapti became a pendeta or pastor. She decided to get married to her college mate, also a pendeta. Yes, we were okay with that but I did not foresee her problem coming. Prapti became pregnant. What do we do now? Continue taking the herbs? Will that affect the developing baby? I did not know because I have not encountered such a problem before. To be on the safe side, we decided she stop the herbs for while until the baby is born. Unfortunately, at the 7th month of her pregnancy the cancer struck her again. She became unconscious like before. She was admitted to the hospital and was on support system. They even made a hole in her throat to help her breathe. Prapti gave birth to her baby naturally while still in coma. Soon after the delivery, she died.

So, this is one bitter lesson I have learned. Ladies, by all means, get married but don’t get pregnant if you have cancer.

Brain Tumour & Diabetes: 2. Declined Surgery, took herbs — HAPPY!

Amar (not real name) is a 49-year-old Indonesian. He has a 4.26 x 5.16 x 2.2 cm lesion in his brain. This was diagnosed as meningioma. He came to Penang in early February 2017 and was scheduled for surgery. The night before the scheduled operation, Amar and his wife prayed for God’s guidance.

The next day Amar and his wife came to CA Care, instead of landing himself on an operation table. Read Part 1 of this story. Amar was prescribed herbs. One month later, Amar and his wife came back to see us again.

Listen to his story!

Gist of our conversation that morning.

  1. Healing Crisis

Chris: After taking the herbs for one or two weeks — did you face any problems?

A: During the first week, I felt a bit dizzy like something was in my head after I took the herbs. My legs felt uncomfortable — like numb.

C; After one week (on the herbs) what happened?

A: I felt good!

C: Okay, let me ask you this — after taking the herbs for a month, what is your condition now compared to a month ago when you were not on the herbs?

A: I am very much better now (showing two-thumbs up!).

C: I am happy to hear that. Thank God for this blessing. Okay, you said you were better off — how many times better off than before? Two or three times better?

A: Five to six times! Before I took the herbs, I felt pulling sensation in my head. After a week on the herbs the sensation was still there and now NO more — gone.

C: Wah, that’s fantastic.

A: After I drank the tea, I felt a certain sensation going through my head (can’t describe). It lasted for about two minutes. Then this was all gone.

  1. Hand Trembling Gone

A: Before the herbs, my hands trembled. Now it’s all gone.

C: Great, God helped you!

  1. Severe Diabetes Gone!

C: You said you were on insulin injection for your diabetes before taking the herbs. How long have you been on this?

A: Since December 2016 (when I was diagnosed with brain tumour). My blood sugar level was 600 plus.

C: You went to the doctor (in Jakarta) and he gave you medication?

Wife: Yes, Nocid, Eclid, Glucophage and Novorapid (injection).

C: Wah, four medication for your diabetes? So many?

A: Insulin injection, three times a day. Each time 10 units.

C: After the injection and the medicine, your diabetes got better?

A: The sugar level went down.

  1. Pain in Kidney and Liver

C: When you were on the medications, how was your health? Any side effects?

A: I had kidney pain. Then my liver also became painful.

C: Liver pain — how was it like? Pulling pain? Sharp pain? Dull pain?

A: Ya, dull pain. These pains started after I took the medications.

C: Okay, then you started taking the herbs — what happened then?

A: I got better. Before I needed 10 units of insulin, times days a day. Then with the herbs, I reduced it to 4 units thrice a day. A few days ago, I was off the insulin totally. No more insulin injection!

C: What about the oral medications?

A: No more oral medications as well.

C: So your diabetes was gone?

A: I am normal.

  1. Hair Appeared on Bald Patch

A: Hairs started to grow from the bald patch of my head!

Wife: Before that the patch at the back of his head was totally bald! (Note where the wife was pointing at). Look at this area. Before the herbs it was totally clean.

C: Har? Ha, ha. Yes, I know that after taking the herbs, white hairs can turn black or gray. I have seen that happen many times. But for your bald head to grow new hairs — this is a new story!

  1. Liver function enzyme: GGT from 198 reduced to 117

C: Very interesting. Your liver function enzyme, GGT dropped from 198 (on 5 February 2017) to 117 (on 13 March 2017). Very good. We should try to half it. At 117 it is still too high.

  1. Blessed for Not Undergoing the Surgery

A: I was ready to go for the operation. The doctor wanted to remove the mass in my brain. It was big, 4.26 x 5.16 x 2.2 cm.

C: You had seizure because of that?

A: Yes, I had seizure, twice. That was why I was hospitalised in December 2016.

C: After you took the herbs, do you still have seizure?

A: No.

C: Thank God for this!

  1. Herbs: Awful Smell, Bitter Taste

C: The herbs — I know very well — are bitter. How do you cope with the taste?

A: After some time, it became good taste!

C: Ha, ha. The first time — was it difficult to drink?

A: I had to bite apple after I drank the tea!

C: Brain 1 and Brain 2 teas — which one is worse?

A: Both have equally bad taste. But later, I got used to them. Now, it is all good tasting!

  1. Stay on Course – Don’t Do What You Are Not Supposed To Do!

C: This is indeed an amazing healing story. I must admit I can’t explain why. But I do know that our brain teas are good for many patients. My advice now is stay on course. Don’t do what you are not supposed to do!

You need to take care of yourself carefully. Maintain that good health. Don’t do anything wrong!

Comments

We have posted many stories about brain cancer. It is up to you to learn from the experiences of these patients. But let me highlight three stories.

1. Brain Cancer: Operation, Radiation, Blind After Two Weeks: This  is a 32-year-old Indonesian male from Riau. Like Amar, he had a seizure. CT later showed a tumour in his brain. He was asked to immediately undergo a brain surgery. The doctor said that was the only option left. The risk of surgery would be: memory loss or total blindness. Yes, he became blind two weeks after radiotherapy post surgery.

Amar in this case, was also warned that surgery for his brain could result in a stroke or paralysis. Perhaps it was a blessing that Amar did not undergo that surgery.

2. Brain Tumour: No to Surgery: Also from Riau, Indonesia, this  35-year-old Indonesian lady has a tumour in her brain. Her family refused surgery and decided to take our herbs. She became well and could lead a normal life. Her husband wrote to say that she has since gone back to work.

3.  Living With Her Brain Tumour for Seventeen Years. This 51-year-old Indonesian lady was diagnosed with brain tumour after two seizures — just like Amar. She was 35 years old then. The doctor said the tumour was too big and it had to be removed bit by bit, meaning she has to undergo three operations to remove all the mass. The family refused the surgery. Up to this day, 17 years later, she is still doing fine — minus surgery.

Like Amar, her tumour is a meningioma.

Amar came to us with a mass in his brain — also a meningioma. He decided not to undergo surgery. That was his decision, perhaps guided by his God (also our God!).

We did not send Amar away. Generally if you have a tumour in your breast, colon, uterus, etc. we would send you to your surgeons first. Get it out before you follow our therapy.

But for the brain, pancreas, liver and lung we have seen enough disastrous results after surgery.

When Amar decided to take our herbs, we warned him that our herbs are not magic potions. And we are not god either. So don’t expect a cure — because we believe that no one on earth can cure any cancer.

Don’t expect the tumour to disappear either. Just learn to live with your cancer, that’s our approach.

In one of the stories above, someone went blind after his brain surgery. We are sure many died too — but the dead do not come to see us. So we don’t know about such cases.

When Amar came back again after a month, the first question we asked was: Are you getting better? If Amar did not get better or did not derive any benefit by taking our herbs, we would advise him to stop taking our herbs. Don’t waste your money and time. Go and find someone else for help.

Amar said he was far better after taking the herbs. He gave his reasons why he got better — that’s important to know why he said so. There is no reason to believe that he is making up his story!

I reminded Amar that it is a blessing indeed that he became well just after a month. But this “wellness” would not last if he does not stay on course! Do something wrong and he will be back in the pit again!

Many people don’t like to hear this — they think that I am blaming them!

Know that your health is your responsibility. To stay healthy and be alive is your choice. If you make a wrong move, you die. As simple as that.

From my years of experienice most patients will forget what we taught them after they get well.

Yes, they will curse Chris Teo because they cannot eat this or cannot eat that. One more sore thing, Chris Teo’s herbs are bitter and taste terrible. After a while these patients will “cheat” themselves — taking only one tea a day instead of 2 or 3 as prescribed. Or they take them once every 2 or 3 days. They cut corners left and right.

Well, it is your life. Do what suits you. We are not blaming you! And if you take the herbs and you don’t get better, don’t blame us either. For certain kaisu people, I just wonder why they ever come and seek our help and want to take my herbs in the first place!

As I am writing this passage, let me tell you this — I replied to many emails and said, Do not come and see me. I cannot cure your cancer! Still they insisted on coming! Why? Because medical treatments cannot cure them.

Over the years dealing with cancer patients, I come to understand one thing. Cancer is man-made. Go and see a mirror. Ask that person in the mirror, what has gone wrong? No, most of us don’t want or never want to admit our short comings. It is always someone else’s fault. Or if there is no ready scapegoat, they blame it on their luck, fate or karma. So be it. But, to me and you can disagree with me, cancer is about human being ….  it is about you!

After talking to Amar, I found him a positive patient.  This is a person who sees a glass of water half full, not half empty. He did find the herbs are bad tasting. He had to bite an apple to help him swallow that bitter stuff. But later he said the herbs are good tasting. It’s his attitude that changed, the herbs were the same!

How many are like Amar — very few, 30 percent at most. The remaining 70  percent of patients who come to see us never make it — to them the glass is always half empty. Why don’t they go find someone better?

There are many ways to deal with your cancer. One patient wrote to say that she had opted for targeted therapy and hyperthermia (very scientific, high sounding names, right?) after she gave up on our herbs. Others went on to try immunotherapy, cryo- or radio-frequently ablation. Yet other said music therapy, laughter therapy, bio- frequency, etc. are great. By all means, go ahead and find your own way! And after your survive long enough why don’t you share your success story! Teach and help others too!

I hope to write a review on Dorit Rishono-Mandil, the author of Leaving No Stone Unturned. She said, I believe that each patient must seek their own way, educate themselves on their options and choose therapists and therapies they feel comfortable with …. There isn’t one single path to recovery that’s better than the others.

P/S: If you have diabetes or are bald, please don’t write me for help after reading this story. I cannot help you. I only work with cancer patients.

Brain Tumour & Diabetes: 1. His prayer answered in an unexpected way!

In an earlier article, I wrote about one bad morning at CA Care —  sharing with you a disappointing story. But luckily, not all days are like that — although you need to know that only 30 percent of patients who come to see us benefit from our work. The remaining 70 percent don’t. They just cannot benefit because of all kinds of reasons or excuses that they have. But to be frank, I am well prepared for such disappointments because I know I cannot win all! And most important of all, I know I cannot change the attitudes of human beings!

Not all days are cloudy though. Let me share with you what a great and blessed morning is like. A morning like this is worth many times the bad mornings!

Amar (not real name) is a 49-year-old Indonesian. In early December 2016 he had two seizures. He was unable to talk and had to be hospitalised. His blood sugar was extremely high, more than 600 mg/dl. Amar was asked to take three medications — Nocid, Eclid and Glucophage. In addition he had to be given insulin injection, Novorapid,10 units three times per day.

A CT scan and MRI on 9 December 2016 showed a 4.26 x 5.16 x 2.2 cm lesion in his brain. This was diagnosed as vertex meningioma. The doctor in Jakarta asked Amar to undergo an operation but he refused.

In January 2017 Amar and his wife came to a private hospital in Penang. He was asked to continue taking his medication:

  1. Dilantin(phenytoin) — an anti-epileptic drug.
  2. Hepamax — for his liver.
  3. NovoRapid® — insulin injection.

A month later, February 2017, he came back to Penang again with the main purpose of undergoing  an operation. This surgery would cost him RM35,000.

Chris: Did you ask the doctor if the surgery would cure you?

Patient: The doctor said some parts of the lesion can be removed! Even that the most serious risk of such surgery is getting a stroke. In addition, my hands and legs may become weak.

The night before the scheduled operation, Amar and his wife prayed to God for guidance! If possible, he would not want to undergo the operation!

Listen to this video!

Who ask you to come to our centre?

Gist of our conversation

Amar: The night before my scheduled operation, my wife and I prayed telling God that if possible, I do not want to undergo this operation. But I knew in my heart that this was not possible! After our prayer, that same night, we were told to come and see Pak Teo first before undergoing any operation.

Chris: Who asked you to come and see us?

A: My wife’s friend in Jakarta.

C: (Asking the wife). Tell us what happened.

Wife: I phoned my best friend in Jakarta that night. I told her about my husband’s operation. Then she told me, Don’t do any operation yet. Go and see Pak Chris first. She gave me your address. The next morning, we came to see you. I showed your address to the Grab driver and he brought us here.

C: So, you did not do the operation?

A: No. I went to see the doctor in the hospital that morning and told him that I was not ready to undergo the operation. I need some time to sort things out.

C: The doctor was not angry that you decided to postpone the surgery?

A: No. So we came to see you after that.

C: When you came here, did you believe what we told you?

W: Yes, absolutely.

At CA Care we encourage patients to talk to their God — never mind who you believe in. Just pray to God to help you. We believe if you sincerely pray, God will answer your prayer! But remember, the answer you get may not be what you want!

Many patients told us many “amazing stories” how they came to know us. One lady once told me that she was very desperate and did not know what more to do for her sister who had been hospitalised for some two months already. So that night she prayed (she is not a Christian!) before she went to sleep (in the hospital taking care of her sister). The next morning, she switched on her lap-top. She could not remember what she did but there it was the CA Care website that popped out in front of her!

I once asked a lady who go home and pray to her God first before deciding to take our herbs. She replied, I have already done that. The Goddess of Mercy (Kuan Yin) told me to come and see you!

In this case, you can hear for yourself how Amar and his wife came to know CA Care just the night before Amar was to undergo his brain operation! It is just like a fairy tale, but is that not a miracle? God works in mysterious ways, if only you sincerely ask Him for guidance and help.

But don’t misunderstand. Coming to CA Care is not the ultimate answer. We are not bomohs (sharmans) or magicians. The tumour will not go away. We cannot cure your cancer — get that straight and clear! Nevertheless many patients who came to seek our help benefited from our advice and what we do. Some live a normal life without the surgery!

In the next article, let us hear why Amar was  “fortunate” not to undergo his surgery yet!

Living With Her Brain Tumour for Seventeen Years

lung-plabang

AK is a 51-year-old Indonesian lady. In 2000, when AK was 35 years old, she had two seizures. She was admitted to a hospital in Jakarta. A CT scan showed a 6.2 cm mass in her brain.

AK was asked to undergo an operation. The doctor said the tumour was too big and it had to be removed bit by bit, meaning AK has to undergo three operations to remove all the mass. The doctor gave her two weeks to decide. AK refused the surgery.

Up to this day, 17 years later, AK is still doing fine. She has been taking two drugs prescribed by the doctor.

  1. Phenytoin: this is an epileptic drug or anticonvulsant. This drug is used to control seizures.
  2. Nitrazepam: this medication is used to treat sleeping problem and also treat certain types of seizures.

AK had been on these two drugs for 17 years and they helped her. AK is a school teacher and she leads a normal life. But if she stressed herself too much she became tired and need to rest.

Since AK had been taking these drugs for so many years, she felt she wanted to try some herbals and get out of these drugs. To this I cautioned AK that she should continue to take the drugs since they have been helpful for her. Why go for herbs?

Before coming to see us, AK went for a CT/MRI of her brain (below).

composite

The mass measures 6.2 x 4.3 x 4.3 cm. It did not grow any bigger since the past 17 years. No biopsy was ever done, but according to the medical report this is a right parietal meningioma.

This is the recording of our meeting that morning.

This is the message I had for AK and her husband.

Chris: I am very impressed with your current condition. You have been living with your brain tumour for the past seventeen years. Did you suffer any problems during this time?

AK: I could lead a normal life. I am a teacher and I am still teaching. But when there was too much stress I felt tired. So I had to rest. Then everything was okay after that.

C: As I have said, I am really, really impressed. Then why do you come and see me? I don’t think you need to take my herbs. Just continue to do what you are doing.

Information from the Internet

You can go into the internet and learn more about meningioma.

http://neurosurgery.ucla.edu/meningioma-brain-tumor

http://www.webmd.com/cancer/brain-cancer/meningioma-causes-symptoms-treatment#1

  • A meningioma is a tumor that forms on membranes that cover the brainand spinal cord just inside the skull.
  • These tumors are often slow-growing. As many as 90% are benign (not cancerous) with low potential to spread.
  • But the growth of benign meningiomas can cause serious problems. In some cases, such growth can be fatal.
  • But some meningiomas are classified as atypical. These are not considered either benign or malignant (cancerous). They may become malignant. A small number of meningiomas are cancerous. They tend to grow quickly. They can also spread to other parts of the brainand beyond, often to the lungs.
  • Meningioma tumors can become quite large. Diameters of 2 inches (5 cm.) are not uncommon.
  • Meningiomas represent about 20 percent of all tumors originating in the head and 10 percent of tumors of the spine.

Symptoms

Because most meningiomas grow very slowly, symptoms often develop gradually, if they develop at all. The most common symptoms include: headaches, seizures, blurred vision, weakness in arms and legs, numbness and speech problems.

Treatment

There are three basic options: observation, surgical removal, and radiation.

Observation: Meningiomas are often slow growing, increasing in size only 1-2 mm per year. If the tumor is not causing any symptoms or not impacting on quality of life, observation is often recommended. Symptoms like seizures can be controlled with medication.

Surgery:  If the tumor’s growth threatens to cause problems or if symptoms begin to develop, surgery may be necessary. Meningioma surgery varies from relatively straightforward to highly complex, sometimes requiring multiple surgeons from different specialties. But surgery carries significant risk of side effecta that can decrease quality of life.

Radiation: This can slow or stop the growth of meningiomas. But younger patients (less than 50 years of age) need to be counselled about the risk of developing radiation-induced cancer ten or more years after radiation treatment.

Prognosis

Surgery: For tumors in favorable locations, up to 85% of meningiomas are curable with surgery. Location, the amount of the tumor left after surgery, and the skill of the neurosurgeon are the important elements in predicting a successful result.

Radiation: Stereotactic radiosurgery stops the growth of meningiomas in up to 80 percent of cases.

Brain Cancer: Amazing Healing After a Week on CA Care Therapy. Then Bad Food Made Thing Worse Again

sunrise

Just a week ago, both Z’s father and mother came to see us because Z had a brain tumour — a glioblastoma. They wanted to try our therapy instead of radiotherapy. Her story was posted earlier: https://cancercaremalaysia.com/2016/10/26/brain-cancer-glioblastoma/

One week on our herbs, Z and her mother came to see us. It was a big surprise indeed.  Z seemed to have “recovered” and appeared okay and well. I could not believe that Z would recover that fast.

Chris: After the installed the shunt in your head, you here discharged and went home. How long were you at home before you came to see us?

Mother: She was at home for about a week.

C: While at home that week, how was your condition? Well and healthy as this morning?

Z: No. I am much better now.

M: After taking the herbs for about two days she started to improve. She felt better. Now, you see she can smile and talk to you. Before taking the herbs, she would not even want to talk to anyone and would not smile!

C: How was her condition while at home that week — any pain?

Z: Yes, some pain.

M: She was always drowsy. Slept for a while, then woke up for a while and then went to sleep again. Now, she can go shopping already!

I am really glad to be able to help Z to get well. Praise God the All Mighty for this wonderful blessing! But then, will this blessing last? It all depends on you — the patient! Most often, patients get sick again after believing that they are already well. That’s human nature!

After one week of an apparent good health, Z’s father came to our centre and reported that this morning Z had problem again, like before. My question was, What did you do wrong, a day or two before this? Go home and ask. Find out what had happened. In the meantime Z should take Pain Tea.

A week later, Z and both her parents came to our centre.

Chris: Now, tell me what did you do wrong last week? What did you eat a day or two before the problem cropped up?

Mother: I cooked Thai Fragrant Rice. She ate that. She took it for dinner. Then in the night she started to have problems — dizziness of her head like before.

C: Given a scale of 0 to 10, what would give to this situation?

M: About 2.5 (out of 10).

C: I gave the Pain Tea. And you took that?

M: Her problem started to improve after taking the Pain Tea. Now, she is back to about 7.5 — not yet fully recovered yet, like before. She is a bit slow and still finding difficulty talking normally.

C: At first I thought the shunt that they installed in her head could be blocked. But from what you told me, it could not be the cause of her problem. Why don’t you go back to the doctor and ask him about this. But for me,  I think the problem is the food! I don’t know what chemicals they use to make the rice fragrant! I have not eaten this kind of rice before too. And this is something you have not eaten before, why do you want her to eat something that you have not eaten before?

M: We pity her, so I thought she should eat this special rice.

Chris: Well, we like to pity people, but by our ignorance we  can also kill people.

As I am writing this story. I receive an email from another brain cancer patient who is now blind after his surgery and radiotherapy. Since the past few weeks, he had been on our therapy and his health improved tremendously. Then I received this email.

Hello Prof .. Apa Kabar ??

Prof  Malam tadi Brother saya Kejang , kemudian Mata Sebelah Kanan Agak sedikit Berat , Dan Jahitan Di Kepala Bekas Oprasi Agak sedikit Sakit Prof.

(Hello Prof .. how are you?? Prof yesterday my brother had fits, his right eye felt heavy. He had pain at the operation stitches on his head )

My reply: Makan apa yang salah —- 1 atau 2 hari ini —- Buat apa yang salah?

(What wrong food did you eat, 1 or 2 days before this. What did you do wrong?)

Makan ikan goreng pakai minyak Wijen dan Beras ketan.

(Ate fried fish using sesame oil and glutinous rice)

Note: Just a week ago, this same brother wrote to ask if the patient can eat pizza or not! My answer, NO!

There it goes, another silly mistake! Just madness that patients and his/her caregivers don’t seem to be able to learn. Let me share with you another story. There was this lung cancer man who ate durian at about 3 p.m. By 6 p.m. he landed in the ICU of one hospital. A CT scan showed there was nothing wrong with him, although he was breathless. The doctor told the son, The problem could be due to the durian! Did he expect the CT scan to show a durian in this man this man’s lung? Many patients died after eating durian — that much I can say! One patient died after eating salted fish and glutinous rice laced with sugar!

Some educated minds want to ask what proof do I have to say that it is the food that caused the problem? Where is the research data to make up my conclusion? Anecdotes are not acceptable evidence in science. Well, there is no need for me to dwell in that.  The proof is there! You see it  and you can experience it! If you don’t believe what I say try to repeat your stupidity and see what happens.

Brain Cancer – Glioblastoma

mountain-and-see

Z is a 16 plus years old girl. For the past 10 years or so, she had been having sinus problems and had been on doctor’s medication. About two months ago, August 2016, she became dizzy and had pain when moving her head. She also vomited a lot. A CT scan and MRI done showed a 35 x 30 x 30 mm enhancing mass in the region of third ventricle, at or near the left foramen of Monro.

brain-zetty-compsite

A biopsy done the next day confirmed left thalamus tumour, features consistent with a glioblastoma, WHO grade 4.

The doctor implanted a VP shunt to drain out the fluid from her brain.

According to the doctor in P Hospital, surgery is not an option. The only way out is radiotherapy. The parents were told that the treatment cannot cure her brain cancer. It may slow down the growth of the cancer but she will suffer a relapse within two years. This was not what her parent wanted. They wanted a cure.

I received a request from her family friend (who is a pharmacist) for consultation. At first Z’s father and the pharmacist came. The next day, Z’s mother and the pharmacist came. On both mornings, we discuss how to help Z. The following are my advice to them.

  1. There is no sensible way out of this situation. I don’t see anyone on earth being able to cure brain cancer.
  2. Perhaps, the family can try another doctor in another hospital. Perhaps, the surgeon there might want to suggest surgery. But this could be just a futile effort.
  3. Z’s mother said the family decided not to let Z undergo radiotherapy. They are afraid of the side effects. And they don’t see any purpose of radiation since it does offer any chance of a cure.
  4. The family wanted to try the herbs. But I made it clear to Z’s mother that herbs cannot cure her daughter’s brain cancer. Based on my experience, herbs may be able to help, and to what extend I really cannot tell or guarantee. To know more about what herbs did to our patients, click this link: https://cancercaremalaysia.com/category/brain-cancer/

I also made it clear that they should not blame us if the herbs do not help Z. Take the herbs for a week or two and at the same time take care of the diet. Let’s see what happens. If the herbs do not provide any benefit then they should consider finding other people to help.

Basic Anatomy of the Brain

The brain is divided into 3 parts:

  1. The hindbrain – which is the base of the skull consisting of brain stem and cerebellum.
  2. The midbrain – which is the small part of the brain stem that joins the hindbrain to the forebrain.
  3. The forebrain or cerebrum – which is the largest and most highly developed part of the brain and consists of two hemispheres which look like walnut kernel. In general, the left hemisphere controls the right side of the body and vice versa.

3rd-ventricle-1

3rd-ventricle-2

In a normal brain there are four ventricles (ventricle means small cavity or chamber):

  1. Two large right and left lateral ventricles, located on either side of the brain.
  2. The third and fourth ventricles are placed along the midline.

Within each ventricle is a network or blood vessels knows the choroid plexus. This is where the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is produced. The CSF is a clear, colourless fluid. Any change in this can indicate disease.

The CSF fills the ventricles and the surrounding space of the brain and spinal cord where it acts as a protective buffer from injury. and transports nutrients and waste.

The ventricles produce approximately glassful of CSF every day, continuously replacing it as it’s absorbed. Under normal conditions, a delicate balance exists between the amount of CSF produced and the rate at which it is absorbed.

The fluid flows from the ventricles as it bathes and cushions the brain and spinal cord.

The third ventricle is a narrow cavity that is located between the two halves of the brain. CSF flows into the third ventricle through openings in its roof called the foramen of Monroe. The two foramen of Monroe are connected to the left and right lateral ventricles above. The third ventricle is connected to the fourth ventricle below by the cerebral aqueduct (canal) of Sylvius, which passes through the midbrain.

If the channel through which this fluid flows is blocked then fluid accumulates in the brain. Hydrocephalus is a medical term that refers to an abnormal accumulation of CSF within cavities inside the brain called ventricles.

Blockage of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)

A ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt is a medical device that relieves pressure on the brain caused by fluid accumulation. Patients with hydrocephalus need to undergo a surgical procedure called VP shunting. Doctors surgically place VP shunts inside one of the brain’s ventricles to divert fluid away from the brain and restore normal flow and absorption of CSF.

Cysts, tumors, or inflammation in the brain can impede the normal flow of CSF and create an unsafe accumulation.

Risks of VP Shunting

Placement of a shunt is a very safe procedure. However, complications can occur during or after the procedure. Risks associated with any surgical procedure include excessive bleeding and infection. You might also experience adverse reactions to anesthesia, such as breathing difficulties, changes in heart rate, or changes in blood pressure levels.

There are rare risks specific to VP shunting that can be serious and potentially life-threatening if left untreated, including:

  • infection in the shunt or brain.
  • blood clots
  • bleeding in the brain
  • damage to brain tissue
  • swelling of the brain
  • Fever, headache, abdominal pain, fatigue, and a spike in blood pressure levels can indicate an infection or a malfunction of the shunt.

Symptoms of brain tumour

  1. An epileptic seizure.
  2. Muscle weakness or lack of co-ordination.
  3. Increasing drowsiness.
  4. Loss of balance.
  5. Loss of certain vision field.
  6. Headache and vomiting.

Brain Tumour: No to Surgery

tea

Jenny (not real name) is a 35-year-old Indonesian lady from one of the islands of Riau. For about six months she had been having headache and dizziness. Om 23 May 2016, she went to a hospital in Tanjung Pinang (Indonesia) and did a CT scan. There was a tumour in her brain.

brain-tumour-yeni-singkep

The doctor suggested surgery to remove the tumour. Jenny’s family refused surgery. Jenny was sent home with the following medications:

  1. Kalium diklofenak
  2. Citicoline
  3. Lansoprazole
  4. Ramtidin
  5. Beta histinemesilate
  6. Pheytonin sodium
  7. Methylpredinsolone

Jenny’s husband came to know about CA Care and came to seek our help.

Our Advice

  1. It was indeed a “hard” morning, having to face such a case.
  2. From what I could guess from the pictures, the tumour in the brain is really big. And I really don’t know what to say. If you come and see me hoping to find a cure, then I must say right away that I cannot cure your wife. But if come here to find help, maybe we can help.
  3. You turned down the doctor’s suggestion of an operation. Surgery may not cure her and she may end up with more problems later. Over the years I have seen many of such pathetic results of surgery. So I would not push you to go for surgery.
  4. But on the other hand, to tell you not to go for surgery does not sound right. Anyway, you have decided not to go for surgery and I think you have made a wise decision.
  5. However, if you decide to change your mind and want to go for operation, then go to Singapore. Perhaps your chances of getting better results is higher a bit. But I know this could mean having to spend a lot of money. Husband replied: Yes, we cannot afford such treatment in Singapore.
  6. Now, we have no choice. I would take on this case with the understanding that you know beforehand that herbs cannot cure your wife’s brain cancer. Herbs may be able to help her — yes, that may be possible.
  7. I am not “plucking this kind of hope” from thin air. Over the years, I have seen that our herbs and our therapy did help brain cancer patients.

To know who brain cancer patients wrote to us, click this link. https://adaywithchristeo.wordpress.com/category/brain-cancer/

  1. So what is your decision? Husband: Please help us. We want to try your herbs.

Jenny was prescribed Capsule A, C, D and M besides taking Brain 1 and Brain 2 teas.

About three months later, we received an email from Jenny’s husband. This is what he wrote:

Nyeri kepala sudah mulai berkurang walaupun masih ada sedikit sedikit
Tidak muntah muntah lagi
Sudah masuk kerja walaupun tidak setiap hari
Badan sudah mulai berisi dan ada tenaga
Bicara sudah mulai lancar

Keluhan sekarang penglihatan masih agak kurang terang, masih kabur.

Jenny’s condition had improved, in spite of not undergoing the brain surgery. What is most encouraging is that her health did not deteriorate — this perhaps is the most important point to note. She is not getting worse. After taking the herbs, the frequent day long headache had subsided, she did not vomit anymore. She was able to go back and work on and off (not everyday yet). She had more energy and started to gain weight (which I think is not important! But to the Indonesians, it is important). Before the herbs Jenny had difficulty talking, fumbling to form words. And now, according to her husband, her speech is now going back to normal. Unfortunately, her blurred / double vision still persist.

In an earlier posting, https://cancercaremalaysia.com/2016/10/09/brain-cancer-operation-radiation-blind-after-two-weeks/, thirty-two-year-old Amar underwent an operation and radiotherapy for his brain cancer. Two weeks after the treatment, Amar was blind.

Jenny did not do anything invasive. She only took the bitter herbs and took care of her diet. Now she is still doing fine. Praise God for this blessing, We pray that she continues to improve with time. We cannot ask for more.

Brain Cancer: Operation, Radiation, Blind After Two Weeks

rice-field

Amar (not real name) is a 32-year-old Indonesia male. In April 2016, he had a seizure and vomited. He was immediately sent to the hospital in Batam. After performing an X-ray, he was given some medication and sent home. He was able to go back work.

One week later, Amar went into a coma and was sent back to the hospital again. The doctor told the family Amar had stage 4 brain cancer. He was asked to immediately undergo a brain surgery. The doctor said that was the only option left. The risk of surgery would be: Amar could suffer memory loss or he could go blind.

The operation was carried out in Batam and Amar regained consciousness. The operation cost IDR 170 million. Unfortunately the surgeon was only able to remove 70 percent of the tumour. Amar was asked to undergo chemotherapy which the family rejected.

This is what Amar’s brain looked like after the surgery.

brain-augus-batam

Amar was brought to consult two doctors in Johor Baru. One surgeon suggested that Amar should undergo another surgery to removed more of the tumour in his brain. An oncologist suggested radiotherapy. The family opted for the latter and he had 30 sessions of radiation. Radiotherapy cost the family RM 12,000.

Two week after the completion of the radiation treatment, Amar became blind. As a follow up the oncologist put Amar on oral chemotherapy. Amar had three round of chemotherapy. Then his brother decided to come to Penang to seek our help.

Chris: When you were asked to undergo the operation, did you ask the surgeon if he was going to be able to cure your brother?

Brother: We did not ask. We did not know else to do.

C: Actually, surgery would not cure anything! Then you went for radiotherapy. Did you ask if this was going to cure him?

B: We asked about the benefit of radiation. The doctor said radiation cannot cure, but we need to try. We want the radiation to kill the cancer cells!

C: Then the oral chemo-drug. What good will that do to your brother? Let me be very outright with you. No one can cure your brother’s cancer. For all that you have done, your brother ended up blind. You now come and see me. What do you expect me to do?

B: I want to find a cure for my brother.

C: That is impossible. There is really nothing much I can do. You may just waste your money and efforts. So go home and discuss with the family — what they really want to do.

B: The family do not know what to do. I want to try your herbs.

What if you do nothing?

do-nothing

The son and daughter of this patient came to our centre. Yes, they felt compelled to do the utmost for their father. But sometimes, it is wiser and braver not to do a thing. In this case, it would be a bad joke to believe that 5 times radiation and a biopsy would make sense. What do you hope to achieve? To say that radiation is going to kill the cancer cells or to stop the cancer from spreading is only a good selling point, nothing than that. Let’s not be naive.

Let us recall two well documented brain cancer cases in the US. Let’s see if we can learn anything from these.

  1. Senator Kennedy and glioma

Senator Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant glioma in May 2008, after being hospitalized following a seizure. A month later, he underwent what was described as “successful” surgery at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina, and then received both chemotherapy and radiation after returning home to Massachusetts.

Six months after the diagnosis, Senator Kennedy had returned to the Capitol and was working part-time while still continuing with treatment. However, in January 2009, he collapsed during the inaugural luncheon for the new president Barack Obama. Senator Kennedy died in August 2009 — barely one year after his diagnosis.

Source:  http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/708105

  1. Beau Biden, US vice president’s son, died at 46 of brain cancer.

The son of Vice President Biden and former state attorney general of Delaware, died after battling brain cancer. In 2010, Beau Biden had suffered what officials described as a mild stroke. Three years later, 2013,  he was admitted to the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Doctors removed a small lesion from his brain and then followed a normal course of radiation and chemotherapy. By November 2013, he had been given a clean bill of health, but after a recurrence in 2015, Biden began an aggressive treatment and was admitted to Walter Reed.  He died in May 2015.

Source:  https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2015/05/30/e1ac5a2a-0731-11e5-a428-c984eb077d4e_story.html

The above are outstanding “sons” of America where the best of medical treatments can be found and are available. Senator Kennedy or AG Biden would have access to the best of medical technology to combat their brain cancer. Yet, they died. What chance do we — common folks — have? Or are we  being misled and sold false hope?

Brain Tumour: An Amazing Healing Experience

AN is a 33-year-old Indonesia. About 5 years ago he started to have headaches (but no vomiting or double vision). The problem dragged on until January 2014 when AN had a seizure at 4 a.m. He became unconscious. He woke up to find himself in the hospital. MRI showed a 4.0 x 4.2 x 4.6 cm tumour in his brain.

Brain-Andy

According to the doctor it was an Astrocytoma. AN was referred to a neurologist who said operation was not indicated. He  only prescribed AN anti-seizure medication.

In February 2014, AN came to a hospital in Penang for further consultation. He was told to undergo an operation to remove the tumour. This would cost RM 25,000. In addition AN was told that after the surgery he might end up paralysed or may even lose his speech totally — i.e. become dumb. AN declined surgical intervention.

AN went for Helmet Therapy (terapi helm) offered by an alternative healer in Java. AN paid IDR 11 million for the helmet which he had to wear on his head. It is supposed to “kill” the cancer cells. AN used this helmet for about one and a half years.

Did the therapy helped you? AN replied: Not sure if it was good or not for me. This is because he used to have a seizure once a month, and later it progressed to once every 2 weeks and then once a week. Also the tumour had gone bigger, 4.3 x 4.7 cm. This is in spite of using the helmet.

AN explained that before the Helmet Therapy, the right side of his head and body were affected during the seizure.  But after the Helmet Therapy, only his head was affected. The head was pulled towards the right. The seizure usually lasted 30 seconds to a minute. His left eye became swollenl and the eye lid became narrower.

In addition to the Helmet Therapy, AN also took Soursop leaf tea and Rodent tuber capsule (not from CA Care).

During AN’s first visit to our centre, he presented with:

  • Headache after waking up in the morning.
  • Eyes felt numb. This lasted for about 4 hours, every morning.
  • Sometimes felt dizzy and this may last for 3 days, all day long.
  • Nose blocked after waking up and lasted until 9 a.m.
  • Humming sound in left ear for about 4 hours.
  • Unable to sleep well.
  • Sometime had difficulty breathing if sleeping flat on the back.
  • He felt tired easily.

TWO MONTHS LATER – an amazing healing experience

AN and his wife walked into our centre. I could not recognised AN. He looked good and told us that his health had improved!

  • Headache was much lighter. Before the herbs his head felt heavy and tight.
  • Eye numbness lasted only an hour as opposed to 4 hours before.
  • He was able to sleep very well.
  • Ear humming only about 1 hour a day.
  • Blocked left nose only once a week, not every day like before. Also after an hour, the blockage disappeared.
  • Seizure became mild but occurred every day instead of once a week. During seizure it only involved pulling of the facial muscle and lasted about 30 seconds.
  • No more draining of energy after seizure.

Healing Crisis

We had warned AN that he might suffer healing crisis in the first week after starting the herbs. We told AN: Please don’t call or email us if this happen. There is nothing we can do about this. Everyone has to go through this crisis! But the healing crisis will gradually go away after a few days.

Indeed, AN suffered severe headaches for a few days after drinking the herbs. He was unable to work and had to sleep all day. In fact his headache had become more serious! Although he was so afraid and uncertain of what to do next, he dared not call us because we had told him not to do that!

After a week, the healing crisis started to subside and his condition started to improve. By the third week, AN felt well again. And his condition improved much more than before taking the herbs.

AN shared his experiences in the videos below (speaking in Bahasa Indonesia). We would like to thank AN for his permission to use these videos without having to hide his identity.

When Doctor’s Advice Does Not Add Up

CT is a 38-year-old Indonesian lady. About 3 years ago, she started to lose her hearing of the left ear. Later, pain developed on the left side of her head. In April 2015, the problem became more severe. She could not tell what others were saying around her. Then her left ear became deaf. When she lie down and sleep on her left side, she felt giddy. When standing with eyes closed, she lost her balance. The left arm was weak.

In May 2015, she came to Singapore and consulted an ENT specialist. She was given medication for a month. Her condition worsened. She came back to Singapore again in June and had an MRI.  There was a 3 cm tumour in her brain.

Composite

The doctor told CT to undergo surgery immediately. CT refused. CT and her husband came to seek our help in July 2015. Listen to our conversation that morning.

Husband: We saw a doctor (in Singapore). He told her to have an operation immediately. She refused.

Chris: Can surgery cure her?

H: Of course, can cure 99 percent. BUT have to operate the skull. Two doctors involved. One is ENT specialist and the other a neurosurgeon.

C: Why don’t you want to go for the operation?

Patient: But 5 percent of patients can’t swallow after that.

H: She cannot control her face muscle — muscle dead. Hearing gone, and cannot be restored.

C: How much is it going to cost you to operate?

H: Six hundred million rupiahs, about SGD 60,000.

C: After the operation, did the doctor say you need to go for chemotherapy?

P: No, because the tumour cannot be completely removed, I need to go for radiation.

C; You were told the operation is going to cure you — 99 percent. Now, the doctor said he cannot remove all the tumour. How can this be 99 percent cure when the tumour cannot be removed completely? Any logic?

H: That’s why — no logic!

P: My mom’s friend had the same problem like me. She went for an operation. She was not able to swallow after that. Saliva drooled out of her mouth.

C: What happened to her now?

P: She had improved but her two eyes are pointing inwards, not straight. Her husband said: Don’t go for operation, You will suffer a lot. She also had her operation in Singapore.

C: Are you very sure that you don’t want to go for the operation?

P: No operation. When the doctor said he can cure me, I want it …

H: The doctor said: We do this kind of operation everyday.

P: But the doctor said he cannot guarantee.

H: The doctor was scared of the nerve system.

C: So, it seems that 99 percent cure is not true then? I am aware that all patients want a cure. If I tell them that I can cure them, all will come to me. But I am going to be honest. I don’t want to bluff or mislead patients. Here we want to help you. Even if you take our herbs, don’t expect us to cure you.

Oh, this is a very difficult problem because there is a 3 cm tumour in there. To tell you NOT to go for surgery is not right. But if you don’t want to operate, I would not force you to do that either because I know that you may have to suffer many side effects.

Try to take the herbs — don’t expect us to cure you, but after a month or so, let’s see what happen. May be after this, it can give you an indication and direction — whether what we are doing is correct or not. Ask yourself — After taking the herbs, how do I feel? Better? Less problems? Worse? If better, then be patient and we continue.

We have helped many patients with brain tumour before.

Now, let us try our best to find a way out — to help you. The tumour is not going to disappear. But if you can lead a normal life, please don’t ask for more. After 3 months, if you find that the herbs do not help you, please go for the operation. I can’t help you anymore.

Can the best of medicine in the world cure brain cancer?

This week, there are 3 sad stories about brain cancer.

The Brain Tumor That Killed Beau Biden http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/05/31/the-brain-tumor-that-killed-beau-biden.html

  • On Saturday, Joseph “Beau” Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden and former attorney general of Delaware, died following a long battle against brain cancer.
  • The 46-year-old’s death raises new questions about the disease that killed him—one that’s alarmingly common in adults and chronically misunderstood by the public.
  • This past year there were nearly 70,000 new cases and 14,000 deaths from this disease.
  • There are many different types (of brain cancer) that occur in adults—each with a unique set of features. Each types carries with it a separate prognosis—ranging from a life expectancy of eight months to non-life threatening.
  • Glioblastoma is an aggressive and often fatal tumor, with an estimated 2-year survival rate of around 17 percent for patients between 40 and 65 years old. The underlying cause of GBM is unknown.
  • It’s still unclear which specific type of tumor that Biden suffered from, but whether malignant or benign, it’s clear that the treatment to keep it from coming back ultimately failed.
  • Treatment options typically include a combination of radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery. The goal of surgery is usually to reduce the tumor burden, followed by radiation therapy and certain chemotherapeutics. Chemotherapy may delay the disease course in some cases, but most chemotherapeutic agents for GBM have an extremely low response rate, around 10 percent. The prognosis is not particularly good for any age group.

Brain cancers like Beau Biden’s kill about 15,000 adults each year http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2015/05/31/brain-cancers-like-beau-bidens-kill-about-15000-adults-each-year/

  • A variety of malignant brain and central nervous system tumors kill about 15,000 people in the United States each year, often after difficult courses of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
  • Beau Biden was first diagnosed in August 2013 and after surgery, radiation and chemotherapy returned to normal duties in November that year. But his cancer recurred this spring, and he began treatment again at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
  • Former Massachusetts senator Edward M. Kennedy died in August 2009, 15 months after he suffered a seizure and was diagnosed with a malignant glioma, the most common form of brain cancer.
  • For most incurable brain tumors, the primary challenge is managing the portions of the tumor that are undetectable by diagnostic imaging, These tumor cells are often the source of recurrence, traveling undetected to other brain regions of the patient and then driving the formation of new areas of growth with little warning. Most malignant brain tumors eventually recur.

Beau Biden fought bravely before losing battle with brain cancer; here are the lessons you should learn  http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/health/doctor-lessons-beau-biden-death-article-1.2242753

  • Beau Biden had been dealing with health problems since 2010, when he suffered from a stroke.
  • Three years later … after he suddenly felt disorientated and weak during a vacation, he was admitted to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Not long after that, he was diagnosed with brain cancer. He underwent surgery and was free of the cancer; however, it returned this spring.
  • Biden underwent aggressive treatmentat Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.
  • We do not know what causes brain cancer. Most brain tumors are not linked to any known risk factors. While there is no proof that radiation causes cancer, we do know that radiation is not good for you. The use of cell phones has long been led to debate about whether they may increase a person’s risk for brain cancer. Current research shows conflicting results. Regardless, it is probably a good idea to limit cell phone use as much as possible or at least use a hands-free headset to reduce your exposure to radiation.

Beau Biden Dies at 46 From Brain Cancer: Why the Disease Is So Hard to Beat https://www.yahoo.com/health/beau-biden-dies-at-46-from-brain-cancer-why-the-120362278807.html

  • Details about Biden’s healthprior to his death are scarce. What is known is that he was hospitalized the week up until his death at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and that he did have a small lesion removed from his brain in 2013 at University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, but was given a clean bill of health after the procedure.
  • …. brain tumor is known to have a high propensity for returning, even after being successfully removed
  • No matter what, almost all the time you’re talking about a kind of tumor that is going to come back and become more resistant to therapies,” Weiss, who specializes in treating adult malignant and benign brain tumors, tells Yahoo Health. “That’s why you hear these patients have a brain tumor, a primary brain tumor, and they’ve been given a clean bill of health. But they’re never really in a position” to have a clean bill of health for the rest of their lives, she says.

Case from Singapore

Someone from Singapore sent me this message:

Dear Doctor Chris,

Thank you for reading this message! I know it is hard for u to make any diagnosis without seeing the patient – but can I just ask before I bring my 32 year old wife over from Singapore if you are able to help her treat Glioblatoma Multiforme Grade 4 brain cancer. She has done surgery to remove 70% of tumor on 28 April and has not started on Chemo/ Radiation. We hope to let her do Immmunotherapy (T cell) before bringing her to u for treatment – do u advise that and know of a reliable hospital/ clinic in Malaysia for recommendation? Please for your kind advice!

Reply: I have bad impression of IT!

Can we seek your treatment for glioblastoma? … can we please seek your help for her glioblastoma?

Reply: Unfortunately … no cure from that ca

Can extend? For how long?

 Reply: Can’t say or predict.

Case from Penang

May 30, 2015 at 4:20 PM,

Dear Dr Chris Teo,

My sister is a cancer patient with brain tumors, grade 4, high grade glioblastoma.

Sep 2013- She fainted and was sent to hospital, scan showed she had some bleeding in her brain.

Oct 2013- another scan showed that she had a 3cm big tumor.

She had her tumors removed in Oct 2013 by X of General Hospital Penang due to emergency.

Oct 2014-her tumors grew back and scan report found that there’re 5 tumors.

She had undergone 2 sessions of radiotherapy and 3 sessions of chemotherapy since then.

There is no more chemotherapy for her. Her brain swell every week and had to go for dripping and treat with mannitol.

She has strong will to survive as she has a 4 year old daughter. Please save her. We would like to make an appointment with you to see if there’s any advice from you.

I look forward to your reply. Warm regards.

Reply: I am sorry I cannot save her. Her cancer is very, very difficult.

Dear Dr Chris Teo,

Thank you for your reply.

Although it looks like her condition is very critical but she has very good blood test report, all her other organs are functioning very well.

Other than her speech problem and body coordination due to her brain’s tumors, she has clear mind, strong surviving will, she eats very well and pass motions and urine as normal person.

I just feel that if you’ve any herbs that can help to alleviate the swell and cancer cells in her brain, that would be very helpful.

My mother and her husband are there at your clinic now to seek your opinion. Please at least give them some advice.  My mother has been very careful in her diet … It was very surprise to see a glioblastoma cancer patient to survive more than 5 months. My sister has already passed her 1.5 years after diagnosed.

This 29-year-old patient (on wheel chair), her husband and mother came to see us. The following is a letter from her oncologist:

Mdm H is my patient since 2014 with brain cancer, now recurrence with multiple nodules in the brain. This has left her with weakness of her limbs, unsteady gait and double vision. She is therefore dependent and reliant on her carers for mobilising and self-care at home. Her disability is deemed permanent in view of her recurrence of cancer in the brain. She gets agitated and irritated due to her tumour in the brain. Hope you will understand the emotional changes that she is going through due to her illness.

Composite-1

Mdm H underwent surgery on 18 October 2013. This was followed by 30 sessions of radiation and 2 cycles of chemotherapy given as 12 injections. The drug used was Avastin.

By 2 September 2014, H was told that there was NO MORE cancer! Her mother said H was cured!

Unfortunately, about 2 months after this “great news” the cancer came back again. H again underwent chemotherapy. After the 11th injection, the oncologist in a private hospital told her to go and seek further treatment in a government hospital.  As far as he is concerned he could not help H anymore.

At this point, the family decided to come to us for help. I told the family. I cannot cure your cancer. 6 Surgery Tobias Brain ca

It is indeed sad that patients and their families don’t seem to understand that surgery does not cure any cancer (unless it is of a very early stage).  Listen to this: 5 Ssurgery come back again

Over the years, I have come across many cases of brain cancer. Here are some of their stories:

Brain Tumour: Operation, you have an 80 percent chance of cure! Do you believe that?

Brain Cancer: Surgery and Radiotherapy. Died

Brain Cancer: Radiotherapy – Recurrence; Chemo – Recurrence; and Avastin – Dead

Brain Tumour: Operation, you have an 80 percent chance of cure! Do you believe that?

Siti is a 59-year-old lady from Indonesia. Sometime in 2014, she had problems with her speech. A doctor in Medan said there was a tumour in her brain. Siti was prescribed some medications and was told to undergo surgery. There was no other option except surgery. Siti refused because of the risks associated with the procedure. The surgery in Medan would cost her IDR 60 million.

Not satisfied, Siti came to Penang for a second opinion. Again she was told that surgery was her only option. This would cost RM 25,000. Again Siti refused the treatment.

Siti-Aiasha-Brain

MRI 7 January 2015 – tumour size 6.2 x 4.5 x 6 cm

Siti returned to Indonesia and did nothing. She did not have much problems.

In February 2015, she came to seek our opinion. She presented with weakness in both legs, headaches on and off and her right leg felt heavy.

You may be able to learn something from our brief conversation below:

Chris: Can the operation cure your cancer?

Siti’s sister: The doctor said if she did not go for the surgery, she would be blind, may have seizures and probably may not be able to move. If she were to undergo an operation, she would have an 80 percent chance of cure. However, the procedure has risks. There could be severe bleeding. She might have a stroke or end up in a coma.

C: Do you believe that the operation can give you an 80 percent chance  of cure?

SS: No.

C: Why not?

SS: I don’t believe because I have many friends who are doctors in Indonesia. They all told me that at best she would have only a 50:50 percent chance.

HOW OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN HEALED HERSELF FROM BREAST CANCER

by Yeong Sek Yee & Khadijah Shaari

Oliver newton

This is a short story about how Olivia Newton John healed herself from breast cancer. She has been one of our favourite country singers whose songs are very meaningful and will really touch your soul. As we are writing this, we are listening to one of her top hits “I Honestly Love You.” If you have not heard this song for some time, take a breather from reading this article and listen to the song at the following link (and hum the tune to your loved one):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kn6tBYUiWKQ

Throughout her singing and acting career Olivia has exuded a positive personality and a soulfulness that have infused each of her projects with warmth and spiritual energy that for many of her fans have become her signature. Her passion for her work has translated into not only her creative projects but also the many advocacy efforts she has undertaken—ranging from environmental causes to health issues—to effect positive change in her own life and in the world around her.

In the summer of 1992, Olivia felt a lump in her right breast. “I had found lumps before,” she says, “but this particular time I wasn’t feeling well, and I didn’t feel good about it.” Her doctor recommended a mammogram, which did not turn up anything unusual, yet Olivia’s instinct told her that what she was feeling was not right. Her doctor listened, and he performed a needle biopsy. Again, the result was benign. Still convinced that something was very wrong, Olivia and her doctor agreed that they would proceed with a surgical biopsy. Their final biopsy did indeed find cancer (Stage 3). Tragically; the diagnosis was confirmed on the weekend her father died of liver cancer.

Following her diagnosis, Olivia underwent a modified radical mastectomy and one year of chemotherapy before her treatment was finished. She endured the side effects of treatment, which included headaches, fevers, and fatigue; and she still remembers with a shudder the anti-nausea “cocktail” she was given at the time. However, it was her decision to integrate complementary therapies into her treatment plan that Olivia says really helped her through.

Working with her oncologist to ensure that none of the alternative treatments would interfere with the standard treatment protocol, Olivia had regular massage therapy as well as regular acupuncture sessions, which were especially helpful in alleviating her nausea. She also practiced yoga, meditated regularly, and consulted a doctor who was an herbalist.

Each of these additional steps that she took to care for her health and her spirit, Olivia says, was integral to her healing. “It had to be more than slash and burn for me,” she says, of integrating a complementary approach.

Olivia’s journey from diagnosis and treatment in 1992 to recovery was a long and winding road. Ironically, that was the title of one of her chart topper” A Long and Winding Road” in 1971. Listen to the song at the following link (and ponder upon the lyrics):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV6_x0Iv15I

Since her diagnosis and treatment, Olivia has been a crusader for all things alternative and spiritual. The comfort Olivia found in alternative therapies when she had cancer is her reason for establishing the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Melbourne, Australia. The Centre replaced the cancer wards at the Melbourne-based Austin Hospital and also collaborates with the New York-based Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research. In addition to traditional cancer therapies, the Centre offer patients and their families support and cancer education programs, as well as complementary therapies focusing on meditation, relaxation, massage, art and music, nutrition, exercise and aromatherapy.

In a recent interview, Olivia, when asked how she has survived so long since 1992, attributed her successful cancer journey to the following:

  • I owe my good health to several things particularly my wonderful doctors! A positive attitude, which is essential to ones ultimate survival, good nutrition both emotionally and in a dietary sense are invaluable.
  • I balanced my western chemotherapy and surgery with eastern philosophies and practiced meditation, yoga and prayer.
  • I complemented my treatments with herbs; homeopathy and acupuncture to combat my nausea and to help me stay centered and focused.
  • Equally important were my conversations with other women who have gone through the same treatment. It helped me to understand what was ahead of me.
  • I realize that I am blessed to be alive and every day I acknowledge and affirm that life is a gift–so live in the present! I see it as a gift,”
  • Last but not least, the support of my family and good friends was priceless and lots of laughter–the best medicine of all!!!

Olivia Newton-John has very successfully combined both Western and Eastern healing modalities and has survived 20 years already. Obviously the 2 healing methods did not clash at all. This “clashing” talk by our oncologists is certainly a lot of bull. Don’t you think so? We welcome your views.
