Ella is from Australia. Many, many years ago, Ella was diagnosed with stomach cancer. She was told to undergo chemotherapy. She refused, turned to herbs and cured herself.
Ella wrote us and later we got to meet Ella in Kuala Lumpur. From then on we kept it touch. Fate has it that 7 years ago, Ella was down with another cancer — endometrium cancer. She underwent surgery to remove the large tumour. She was asked to go for chemotherapy. Her surgeon said, Without chemo you have three months. With chemotherapy, you have two and a half-years. This means even with chemotherapy, Ella would not be cure! Ella promptly refused chemotherapy and opted for CA Care Therapy.
Let us admit, then — surviving only a year — we were also too sure! Could she continue to live two and half years and again prove that her doctor was wrong? The odds were stacked against us! For how long can an Australian continue to take the bitter, awful tasting herbs? Will she give up after a while? What about her diet? Can she eat healthy? Forgo the steak, turkey, ham, beacon, milk, etc., etc.
October 2015 – seven years later: It was indeed a privilege and blessing to be able to meet Ella again in Penang. Ella and husband, Peter stayed in our home for three nights en route to Scotland. In 2008, Ella told us, the surgeon said she would have only two and half years to live, even with chemotherapy. But now she has lived three times longer than predicted and still going on strong.
Let Ella tell you her story.
Her survival against two cancers.
What does it take to win?
No two ways about it, if you want to survive and succeed, you need to change your diet and take the herbs, have peace of mind and a strong desire and determination to live.
Lastly, we spoke to Ella about how to keep healthy and going!
CT is a 38-year-old Indonesian lady. About 3 years ago, she started to lose her hearing of the left ear. Later, pain developed on the left side of her head. In April 2015, the problem became more severe. She could not tell what others were saying around her. Then her left ear became deaf. When she lie down and sleep on her left side, she felt giddy. When standing with eyes closed, she lost her balance. The left arm was weak.
In May 2015, she came to Singapore and consulted an ENT specialist. She was given medication for a month. Her condition worsened. She came back to Singapore again in June and had an MRI. There was a 3 cm tumour in her brain.
The doctor told CT to undergo surgery immediately. CT refused. CT and her husband came to seek our help in July 2015. Listen to our conversation that morning.
Husband: We saw a doctor (in Singapore). He told her to have an operation immediately. She refused.
Chris: Can surgery cure her?
H: Of course, can cure 99 percent. BUT have to operate the skull. Two doctors involved. One is ENT specialist and the other a neurosurgeon.
C: Why don’t you want to go for the operation?
Patient: But 5 percent of patients can’t swallow after that.
H: She cannot control her face muscle — muscle dead. Hearing gone, and cannot be restored.
C: How much is it going to cost you to operate?
H: Six hundred million rupiahs, about SGD 60,000.
C: After the operation, did the doctor say you need to go for chemotherapy?
P: No, because the tumour cannot be completely removed, I need to go for radiation.
C; You were told the operation is going to cure you — 99 percent. Now, the doctor said he cannot remove all the tumour. How can this be 99 percent cure when the tumour cannot be removed completely? Any logic?
H: That’s why — no logic!
P: My mom’s friend had the same problem like me. She went for an operation. She was not able to swallow after that. Saliva drooled out of her mouth.
C: What happened to her now?
P: She had improved but her two eyes are pointing inwards, not straight. Her husband said: Don’t go for operation, You will suffer a lot. She also had her operation in Singapore.
C: Are you very sure that you don’t want to go for the operation?
P: No operation. When the doctor said he can cure me, I want it …
H: The doctor said: We do this kind of operation everyday.
P: But the doctor said he cannot guarantee.
H: The doctor was scared of the nerve system.
C: So, it seems that 99 percent cure is not true then? I am aware that all patients want a cure. If I tell them that I can cure them, all will come to me. But I am going to be honest. I don’t want to bluff or mislead patients. Here we want to help you. Even if you take our herbs, don’t expect us to cure you.
Oh, this is a very difficult problem because there is a 3 cm tumour in there. To tell you NOT to go for surgery is not right. But if you don’t want to operate, I would not force you to do that either because I know that you may have to suffer many side effects.
Try to take the herbs — don’t expect us to cure you, but after a month or so, let’s see what happen. May be after this, it can give you an indication and direction — whether what we are doing is correct or not. Ask yourself — After taking the herbs, how do I feel? Better? Less problems? Worse? If better, then be patient and we continue.
We have helped many patients with brain tumour before.
Now, let us try our best to find a way out — to help you. The tumour is not going to disappear. But if you can lead a normal life, please don’t ask for more. After 3 months, if you find that the herbs do not help you, please go for the operation. I can’t help you anymore.
Comment
CT was told to undergo surgery immediately! Why immediately? She had been living with her problems for the past 3 years! No need to panic. Take time to evaluate your options.
When making your own decision, perhaps you want to reflect on the following:
Lymphoma Part 3: Digging my own grave with my fork and spoon!
Forty-two-year-old Daisy had 6 cycles of chemo for her peripheral T-cell lymphoma. The treatment failed to cure her. The cancer relapsed 6 months after completion of her chemotherapy. She was asked to undergo more chemo and bone marrow transplantation. She refused and opted for CA Care Therapy instead. One year on, Daisy said she was not so worried about her cancer but her diet caused her much distress. I want to eat!
Listen to this video.
Chris: The only thing that you cannot do is eat any “rubbish” that you like. Is that okay?
Daisy: Hm, hm. I have been tolerating this. I cannot help it. But sometimes I had the urged of wanting to eat …
C: Do you think one day, you would just say:Never mind la — eat and die, that’s okay.
D: Especially when I watched the cooking program on Astro … I felt like I wanted to eat and die, it’s okay.
C: You are already one year and you are not getting worse?
D: But I have been tolerating the food. During Christmas and Chinese New Year (CNY) everyone was eating …turkey, etc. and I could not eat. You know, I cried. They can eat but I cannot eat. I stayed home and cried.
C: So your main concern now is not cancer anymore? Now, food is more important? You worry about your food.
D: When people are alive, they want to eat (anything).
C: The last time when you came, you were so worried that you would die because of your cancer. Now do you still think that you are going to die?
D: No! I know I can live. Last time I was so worried that probably when I go to sleep I would not wake up the next morning.
C: Ha, ha, is it not better (to die that way)? So today you go to sleep, you know that you would wake up?
D: I know, I know ( I can wake up).
Chinese New Year is coming – be careful with your diet!
C: Chinese New Year is coming. Don’t go and start eating “rubbish” ah.
D: Already two years I cannot eat. Since 2012 until now (2015) cannot eat, you know!
C: But you were supposed to die within four months! Now you’re well — you are healthy, you are okay. What do you want some more?
D: I want to eat. Eat first before I die.
C: Okay, if you want to eat, go and eat a lot. Eat a lot. To eat a piece of chicken and die … not worth it. It’s stupid. Eat a lot and then die. That’s okay.
D: I want to dig my own grave with my fork and spoon.
Gentle Warning: Itchy rashes that took months to go away
D: For two years, I never eat ….
C: What did you eat (during the Chinese New Year, 2015)?
D: I ate 2 kampung chicken eggs .. twice .. some CNY cookies … chocolates .. not much, plus fish. After that …
C: When you came home after eating all these … any problem? Itchy?
D: No.
C: Before you ate all these, did you have such problem?
D: No such problem. About one month after taking these CNY food this problem happened. I felt itchy and I started to scratch.
C: And until today?
D: Yes, it’s already one and half months. It takes a long time to heal. Before I had cancer it was easy to heal.
C: Food is important. If they say you eat anything you like — that’s not true.
Comments
All patients who come to seek our help are always told: Apart from taking the herbs, you have to take care of your diet. You cannot eat anything you like. We would also want to remind everyone, if you can’t take care of your diet, there is not point coming to see us. We would not be able to help you. This is because food ….
The unhappiness expressed by Daisy in this case, is understandable. Most patients would not want to change. The moment they get well — when they don’t feel that they are going to die anymore — they will come with all the excuses for wanting to forget what we tell them about food.
One classical example that came to mind now is the case of an Indonesia lady who had lymphoma. She underwent chemotherapy and almost died from the treatment. After the treatment the cancer recurred. There was a hard swelling on her cheek. She was asked to undergo more chemotherapy. She was not prepared to accept that anymore. She told us that she prayed that God would grant her the strength to come and see Chris Teo in Penang. Then if she died after that she would be satisfied. We took care of this lady for three years and she was well. The swelling in her cheek was gone. Then, the “monster within” started to awaken. She told us that she had been taking the herbs for so long. It caused much strain on her children, etc., etc. We knew what her real problem was! We also knew that if the heart would not want to change there is nothing we can do to help.
Later, we were told she went to Singapore for a holiday. Ate …. (we did not know what). After she came home to Jakarta, her stomach became bloated. That was when she wrote us for help. Our answer was: Go to the doctor and ask for help. She had chemotherapy. After the second shot of chemo, she died.
This is another lymphoma case. This story is beyond our comprehension. TL was a 59-year-old man. He was diagnosed with lymphoma in September 2012. Like the Indonesian lady above, he had surgery to remove part of his stomach. He was subsequently asked to undergo chemotherapy which he declined.
He came to seek our help in October 2012. From the very beginning we explained to TL that it would be futile to take our herbs without taking care of his diet. In short, he must eat rightly and under no circumstances take junk food.
On many visits, TL asked us about what food to eat and what food not to eat, giving us the impression that he was eating right!
About 8 months later, TL suffered a relapse. It shocked us to learn that all along TL had been pretending and “cheating” on himself as far as his diet was concerned. Listen to his “confession” that day (4 November 2013).
A few days after this “confession”, TL checked into the hospital, underwent medical procedures and died while in the hospital. Why did he play such a game and cheated himself? We cannot understand.
One outstanding lymphoma case is that of Devi. She had radiotherapy and was well. But about a year later, her cancer recurred. She was asked to go for chemotherapy. She had chemo but at the same time started to take herbs and change her diet and lifestyle. From 1998 to this day (2015) Devi stayed on course and is extremely well.
Devi: Because I was in pain. The moment I consumed food, I had very severe pain. I was lying in the hospital for two weeks until one day I went berserk because I had an overdose of morphine…I was not getting any better. I discharged myself (from the hospital)….I went to a clinic that practised chelation therapy and the doctor asked me what sort of diet I was on? I was told to stop taking solid food and to go on fruits, vegetables, semi-solids and fluids. Within two days on the recommended diet, the pain was gone.
C: Did you take any other medication?
D: No. I was only on the diet, no medication whatsoever. I was on fruits, vegetables and semi-solids. Within a month, my digestive system was back to normal.
C: After the radiation, you thought you were cured. Did you go back to your old diet?
Yes, I went back to my old lifestyle. I forgot about the fruit juices. I had a relapse of the cancer, this time in the abdominal region.
The doctor said radiation was out. I went for six cycles of chemotherapy.
Devi came to seek our help and was well.
C: What about your diet?
D: I am more of a vegetarian now, I keep off red meat and sea food except for fish. I eat fruits and vegetables.
C: Some people say that if I cannot take my favourite food, life if not worth living. What is your comment to that ?
D: What I have to say to those people is, life is worth more than just your favourite food. It is a very small sacrifice to make. Life is much more that just food.
C: You were a meat eater before and now you are a vegetarian. Many people say that if you don’t eat meat, you have no strength. What have you got to say about that?
D: No, not really. In fact, I feel much healthier now that I cut meat out of my diet. I have not lost energy at all.
Patients, you have a choice — to live or to die. If you wish to live, CHANGE — your lifestyle and your diet.
Daisy, 42 years old, was diagnosed with peripheral T-cell lymphoma, Stage 2. She underwent 6 cycles of chemotherapy. Six months after the completion of her treatment, the lymphoma relapsed and Daisy was asked to undergo more treatment — 4 cycles of high dose chemotherapy followed by an autologous transplant (BMT — bone marrow transplant).
Daisy felt that she would not survive the BMT procedure. But without BMT Daisy was given the impression that she would also die — within four months. By December she would be gone! Daisy was in a dilemma and came to seek our help. She was started on herbs and was told to take care of her diet.
In October 2013 — after two months of the herbs — Daisy shared her anxiety, fear, frustrations and wishful hope! Watch this video.
Lymph nodes grew bigger after 2 months on herbs. Oncologist did not show any concern — Go and continue taking your herbs!
Two months on our CA Care Therapy, Daisy came back to us. She was full of anxiety and fear. She just went to see her oncologist and was told that the swollen lymph nodes had grown bigger. Since she did not proceed with the BMT, her oncologist was not interested to talk further with her and instead cynically asked her to go ahead and take the herbs.
Daisy did a blood test and an ultrasound.
White Cell count
1.71 Low
Lymphocyte
0.44 L
Red blood count
3.55 L
Platelets
160
LDH
254 High
USG on 30 September 2013 indicated:
Bilateral enlarged cervical nodes … the largest at the left submandibula measuring 1.7 x 0.7 cm and at the left posterior triangle, 1.4 x 0.5 cm.
Enlarged axillary nodes seen bilaterally. The largest node is seen at the left axilla measuring 1.9 x 2.3 cm and 1.8 x 2.2 cm.
A hypoechoiec nodule seen within the subcutaneous plane at the left posterior scapular region measuring 1.5 x 0.6 cm.
For the above consultation, the total bill came to RM 774.00 made up of the following:
Lab test RM 202.00
Ultrasound examination RM 480.00
X-ray RM 42.00
Consultation (oncologist) RM 50.00
Like most patients who come and see us, they like to go for a scan after taking our herbs for a month or two! That is unrealistic! Our herbs are not magic bullets. Healing takes time.
The results showed the lumps had gone bigger! We told Daisy, You are just asking for unnecessary problem!
Daisy: What if the lumps grow bigger and bigger?
Chris: Yes, that is always the concern of patients … and of course ours too. But what can we do? Is there another alternative?
No! Daisy said she would not go for any chemo, radiotherapy or surgery. She would like to stick on with our herbs.
We told Daisy — we wish we could cure her or promise her a cure but we know we would be dishonest if we do that.
Promising false assurance is cruel and sinful! We would not be able to ensure any positive outcome even though we have helped so many lymphoma patients before.
The only advice we could give is: Don’t panic, relax. This implies patients need to believe and trust.
Good thing is, Daisy seemed to trust us. She knew what it was like to undergo chemotherapy. The fact that she survived the 6 cycles of chemo earlier was already fortunate. Then, she was told that her CHOP chemotherapy would give her a 80 percent chance of cure. But this is not true! Barely 6 months after the completion of her chemo, the lymphoma recurred. Where is that 80 percent chance?
After the relapse, the oncologist offered BMT and said the cure rate would be 50 to 60 percent but the procedure would be more drastic, invasive and expensive — RM 100,000.
Daisy had lost confidence with medical treatment. Probably this was the driving force that made her come to seek our help. She said she would rather “gamble” her life with our herbs.
Are you getting worse after taking the herbs? You wouldn’t die in December!
Even though the lumps had grown in sizes, Daisy did not feel any worse. Actually she was doing fine … except for the knowledge that the lumps were getting bigger! Daisy was given the impression that without BMT she would only have 4 months to live. So by December she would be gone! No, during our discussion in October 2013, Daisy did not show any sign that she was about to die. We told Daisy: You are not going to die in December!
(Daisy continued to get well and is still alive after 2 years. Most of the lumps that made her worry so much earlier on had almost disappeared!) Question: What if she were to undergo the Bone Marrow Transplant?
Sixty-six year-old Ray (not real name) was a smoker since age 17. He stopped smoking when he was 58.
In 2004 (61 years old), Ray was diagnosed with stomach cancer and underwent a subtotal gastrectomy followed by 6 cycles of chemotherapy. This was followed by radiotherapy.
In 2007, his PSA was at 7.29. TRUS guided biopsy was done which revealed prostate cancer, Gleason 3+3. Ray underwent prostrate surgery.
In 2011, Ray underwent another surgery to remove his gallbladder. Biopsy indicated no malignancy. However, in early 2012, Ray had high grade fevers and was jaundiced. His liver function enzymes were elevated — Alkaline phosphatase = 433, AST = 87 and ALT = 161.
Ray underwent an ERCP with SEMs placement. Later, a tumour was found in the lower bile duct.
Ray was in a dilemma. The doctors told the family:
There is no medication for him.
Chemotherapy would only provide a 20 percent chance of success.
Cyberknife procedure may be a consideration.
They consulted three doctors. One doctor said Ray have only a few months to live, maximum 7 months. An oncology surgeon said if it is a bile duct cancer, maximum 30 months but if the tumour grows and blocks the duct then he would not last long. The third doctor gave him a year at most.
Ray’s son found CA Care in the internet and wrote us. Later, his son-in-law came to seek our help. Watch this video.
I just wanted to narrate my father’s journey with cancer and our personal experience with alternative treatments.
Background
My father was first diagnosed with Stomach cancer in 2004 and whilst it was a tremendous shock to us we were a bit ignorant about the cancer (which probably helped us at that time). Anyway, he underwent surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiation treatments. He was lucky to be a stomach cancer survivor and made changes to his diet and lifestyle (gave up smoking). He was then diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2007 and again underwent surgery and recovered from that successfully.
Bile Duct Cancer
To our horror he was diagnosed with Bile Duct cancer in March 2012 (albeit he did revert back to a more unhealthy lifestyle in 2011, which included alcohol, meat and fried foods).
In April 2012 the doctors put a self expanding metal stent to alleviate issues of bile flow and subsequently when his condition improved a bit they looked at the possibility of surgery. However, once on the table the surgeon decided that surgery was not possible. The doctors attending to him had mentioned a prognosis of 3 to 6 months to me.
Without surgery my understanding is that conventional medicine does not offer many solutions and quality of life was a key consideration in our decision. Therefore, as a last resort we turned to alternative medicines.
Our Journey with Alternative Medicines
I spend my time between Australia and India. My focus last year in April was entirely on finding him the best alternative medicines that are available (and with some body of knowledge behind them).
I narrowed down my options to the following
1) Professor Chris Teo from Malaysia who runs CA CARE
2) Natural Supplements
3) Ayurveda treatment from DS Cancer research in India. Albeit I started Dad on the Ayurveda in Sep 2012 more as an insurance policy. He was already feeling better before then.
CA CARE
This is run by a botanist in Malaysia called Chris Teo and he has had great success in healing people (he doesn’t believe in a cure) with cancer and Dad has his herbal teas on a daily basis. Protocol is provided by Chris. Also, he is very focused on diet and red meat, fried food, dairy, alcohol and processed sugar are definitely not allowed.
Dads current situation
My father has a good quality of life (90% of any one of us) and apart from the occasional infection due to the stent, his blood reports (tumor markers have remained down and Liver Function test is mostly in normal range) and scan on his 1 year anniversary has also provided a clean bill of health (i.e. scan said stable disease).
The future is always uncertain but I really wanted to share my personal experience with everyone who might be struggling with this disease and wish you all the best.
Latest update 2015: It has been 3 years plus and this patient is still doing okay. This is an e-mail Ray wrote in June 2015.
Over last three years have lost over 22 kg, current weight 54 kg. I am 5feet 11 and normal weight was in 70s. Doctors looking after my day to day issues including Bile Duct stents, have been strongly advocating putting on some weight to counter disease plus new developments. My diet is mainly vegy, little fish sometimes, no sugar, salads and fruits of all types. Cooking media is olive oil mainly and sometime a coffee or tea to feel normal.
UPDATE: 25 December 2015
Chris,
My father passed away yesterday night as a result of his cancer. He was bed ridden towards the end, however, he did not suffer pain which is associated with the disease and was able to eat and drink small amounts to his last day (including some of your tea).
I wanted to give you a heartfelt thank you as your medicines have certainly provided us with much cherished time with our father. He was diagnosed in March/April 2012 and the time we have had with him has been very precious. Regards, Rahul.
Please take note: Patient was given 3 to 6 months to live but he managed to live a happy life for more than 3 years. This is what we mean by we cannot cure any cancer — neither can anyone on earth!
Ben (not real name), 65-year-old Indonesian, first came to see us in 2013. This is what was written in his medical report dated 13 August 2013.
The above named gentleman first came to see me at Z Hospital on 12 August 2013 with a presenting history of abnormal liver enzymes. Of note, he is a known case of chronic hepatitis C infection (since 2000), diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, old stroke and post cholecystectomy. He also has allergy to penicillin.
Laboratory investigations, ultrasound abdomen and CT scan abdomen were done for further evaluation.
Ultrasound Abdomen dated 13 August 2013
Finding suggestive of liver cirrhosis, associated with multicentric hepatoma. The large mass in right lobe liver is 8.4 x 7.2 cm. There are also multiple smaller nodular lesions in right lobe liver, which are about 1.0 cm to 2.0 cm. A calcification in right lobe liver.
The spleen is enlarged, 14.5 cm.
Small right renal cysts.
CT Abdomen and Pelvis dated 13 August 2013
Multiple enhancing masses seen at the liver. The largest one measures 6.9 cm x 7.4 cm.
Liver cirrhosis with portal hypertension.
The spleen is enlarged measuring 14.8 cm.
Small right renal cyst, 0.9 cm x 1.5 cm.
Prostate is enlarged measuring 4.9 cm x 6.1 cm with no focal lesion seen.
Mr. Ben was diagnosed to have the following medical problems:
1) Chronic hepatitis C infection with chronic active hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension (splenomegaly, thrombocytopenia and trasaminitis).
2) Multicentric hepatomas.
3) Post cholecystectomy.
4) Right renal cyst.
5) Diabetes mellitus.
6) Hypertension.
7) Old stroke.
He is currently on the following medications:
1) Legalon
2) Propronolol
I have advised him to seek early treatment from Consultant Oncologist in view of further treatment of his multi-centric hepatomas (i.e. TACE or RFA).
Based on the above, the doctor told Ben the following:
Liver transplantation would be impossible due to his age.
Liver surgery may be an option.
He needed to undergo chemotherapy.
Ben refused further medical treatment and came to seek our help.
One Year Seven Months Later
Ben came to see again in late April 2015, one year seven months later. He had gone to see his doctor and did a CT scan.
CT Abdomen and Pelvis 28 April 2015
There are multiple enhancing masses seen at the right lobe of the liver. The largest one measures 10.5 cm x 15.4 cm seen at segment 6 of the liver. There are two small calcifications seen at the left lobe of liver.
Spleen is enlarged with greatest diameter measures 14.5 cm.
Prostate is slightly enlarged with greatest diameter measures 4.3 cm x 6.2 cm.
With much “satisfaction” in his face Ben told us:
Ben: When I saw my doctor yesterday, he shook hands with me twice!
Wife said: The doctor commented, “You are still around?” (implying that Ben should have been dead by now). According to the doctor, among his patients, in cases like this, the longest survival time was only 9 months.
B: Generally by 3 to 6 months they were gone. When I first saw him almost 2 years ago, I was given only two months to live.
Chris: Does he know what you are doing.
B: I told him I am on herbs.
C: Was he angry because you were taking herbs?
B & Wife: No, no. He said, “Good, go on with the herbs.”
B: The doctor said, “It is a miracle.”
C: Yes, at CA Care we see miracles every week! This is NOT something unusual. Thank God for this blessing.
Listen to our conversation that day.
Comments
Ask these questions.
Almost two years now, Ben is still alive and well. Why? He was entirely on the herbs — no chemo at all (that was the only option he had). What does that tell you? Herbs are not proven? Hocus pocus?
What about those who did medical treatment? Maximum of 9 months and they were dead? Even from Ben’s own experience, his many friends were gone after medical treatment. Ben told us he has a doctor friend (trained in Germany) who was very impressed with his progress. The doctor even asked for CA Care’s address!
Sometimes, we tend to think that people who go for herbs and forsake scientific medical treatments are dumb fools, deficient in knowledge and uneducated. NO, that is a wrong presumption! Generally those who come to CA Care are well educated people. Like the case of Ben, he was once the President of a university! He knew what he was going into.
A few days before the Chinese New Year, 2015; SLK, her husband and daughter visited our centre. It was indeed a pleasant surprise for us. SLK walked in and cheerfully greeted us but we could not recall who she was. However, we could faintly remember her husband.
The last time we saw SLK was about three and half years ago, November 2011. Now, here in front of us was SLK again – smiling and saying that she was doing great all these years. Listen to our conversation that day.
Chris: When did you come to Penang.
SLK: Two days ago.
C: How long are you staying in Penang.
S: Till 23 February and going home on 24 February.
C: Why did you come to Penang this time?
S: I miss Penang. In Penang I want to come and see Dr. Chris.
C: You first came to see us in October 2011. It has been …
S: Three and a half years ago.
C: I am indeed very surprised … I don’t believe this!
S: Why don’t you believe?
C: Well, when you first came you had a swollen leg after being discharged from the hospital and you could not walk. The doctor gave you Warfarin and then asked you to go for chemo. You refused. What did the doctor say when you refused chemo?
S: I never went back to see the doctor again.
C: Did he tell you, if you don’t do chemo you might die?
Husband: No, he did not say that.
C: For your swollen leg and pain, the doctor gave you medication.
S: The doctor’s medication did not help. I took your herbs instead.
C: After that you did the e-Therapy. A few days later, you could walk, no pain. You then went home (to Indonesia) Now, you are back here after three and a half years.
S: I took your herbs for nine months.
C: Did the herbs help you?
S: Yes, I got better. The swelling of my leg subsided.
C: Did you take any other medications besides our herbs?
S: No, only your herbs.
C: Did you take care of your diet?
S: Yes, I followed your dietary guideline.
C: Did the doctor say you must go for chemotherapy?
S: Yes, must do chemotherapy. But I refused.
C: Did he not get angry?
S: I never went back to see him again!
C: Did you consult with any doctor in Indonesia?
S: No, no doctor.
Praise God
C: You can eat, can move around, no pain — what else can you ask for? Praise God for this. God helped you. But remember, if you ask God to help but you do not want to help yourself first, then it is useless. Help yourself first and then ask God to help you. It is indeed amazing.
S: Thank you very much doctor for helping me.
C: Yes, we need to thank God for this.
S: When we arrived in Penang, I told myself “I want to go and see Dr. Chris”.
C: Praise God. I am real happy to be able to help you. Take care.
Her Earlier Story
SLK was 49 years old then. She had a 19 x 16 x 7 cm right ovarian cyst with nodules within it. She underwent a hysterectomy at a private hospital in Penang. Histopathology report confirmed a clear cell adenocarcinoma and endometriosis.
She was in the hospital for 8 days and things did not turn out right for SLK.
After being discharged from the hospital, SLK suffered cramps and muscle pull in her left thigh. She had to be hospitalized again. This time it was for 6 days.
Unfortunately the pains and discomforts in her leg did not go away. The doctor told her that he had done his best and could not offer any more help.
The next day, on 20 October 2011, a desperate SLK and her family came to CA Care. They wanted us to help SLK with the pain in her leg. Unfortunately there were no medical reports and we did not know what had happened. We told the family to go back to the doctor and ask for all the medical records.
SLK came back to Penang again and saw her doctors (the surgeon and blood specialist-oncologist) on 18 November 2011. The oncologist asked her to continue taking the Warfarin for another six months and this time with an increased dosage. The doctor said she would be cured after six months. In the meantime, SLK was asked to undergo chemotherapy for her ovarian cancer.
SLK refused chemotherapy. She also did not want to take the Warfarin anymore.
On 23 November 2011, SLK and her husband came to see us again with all her medical reports.
SLK was prescribed herbs and at the same time underwent the e-Therapy.
After three times of e-Therapy, SLK could walk. The swelling of her leg subsided. SLK said, “Previously if I walked, my left leg became swollen. I could now walk to the market and also travel by bus. I felt lighter when I walked. Before coming to CA Care I could not walk like I do now.”
Husband, “Now she can walk so far – from Gurney Park to Pulau Tikus market – with no problem. Before your treatment, we had to take a taxi to come and see you. Now we just take the bus and walked wherever we want to go.”
We did not get to see SLK again after that … until February 2015!
Joe is a 75-year-old Indonesian from Medan. Sometime in 2010 he suffered from heart problems and was on a blood-thinner drug. Then in September 2013 he was severely jaundiced. The doctor in Medan inserted a biliary (plastic) stent into the left hepatic duct and CBD. Two weeks after this procedure his blood pressured dropped drastically. Both his arms and legs and abdomen were swollen. He was semi-unconcious and was unable to walk.
Laid on a stretcher, his family flew him to Penang. This medical emergency trip on Sriwijaya Air cost he family RM 8,000 (the normal flight ticket is about RM 150 to RM 200).
In a private hospital in Penang, Joe had MRI on 9 September 2013. The results:
Lesions scattered in the liver ranging from 0.5 to 1.8 cm in size, suspicious of metastatic deposits.
There was a lobulated irregular mass at the portal of the liver measuring 3.5 x 3.9 x 5.6 cm. It has infiltrated the portal of the liver.
Enhancing soft tissue lesions in the right subdiphragmatic, right subhepatic, around the right kidney, crus of both diaphragms with encasement of the vessels anterior to the aorta.
Right kidney was displaced anteriorly.
Mild ascites.
Impression: Features are suggestive of advanced cholagiocarcinoma with local infiltration and liver metastasis.
Joe underwent an endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreaticogram (ERCP). The plastic stent, previously installed in Medan, was removed and an self expandible metallic biliary stent was inserted into the left intrahepatic ducts.
Joe remained in the hospital for 2 weeks and his conditions improved. All swellings and jaundice were gone. The treatment in the hospital cost him about RM 16,000.
Joe was asked to undergo chemotherapy. With chemo his life would be prolonged (no months mentioned) but without chemo the doctor said he would not last more than 3 months. The family refused chemotherapy and his two sons (without the patient) came to seek out help on 20 September 2013. Joe was started on herbs.
After 2 months on the herbs, we were told that Joe was doing very well, in spite of not undergoing chemotherapy! His appetite had improved and he was more energetic. The family did not tell Joe that he had cancer!
One Year Five Months Later
In February 2015, one of Joe’s son came to our centre. Listen to our conversation.

Bak was told he had a tumour in his bile duct in 2011.
CT scan in April indicated a pancreatic head and uncinate process carcinoma with common biliary duct obstruction.
Bak was asked to undergo an operation. He refused. However he consented to do an ERCP – endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (a specialized technique to clear off the bile duct obstruction).
After the ERCP, Bak was asked to undergo chemotherapy. He promptly refused.
Immediately after being discharged from the hospital, Bak came to seek our help and was started on herbs.
Bak had to return to Penang every 6 months to change the plastic stent (tube) that the doctor inserted.
Surprisingly Bak recovered and was well after taking the herbs. His doctor who once “pushed” him to do chemotherapy had stopped asking Bak to consider chemo since his recovery was so good. Bak told the doctor that he was on our herbs. The doctor just smiled.
To our surprise, in January 2015 – i.e. almost 4 years later, Bak’s wife came to our centre. Our first question to her was, How is Bak doing now? Is he okay?
Listen to what she told us.
Chris: How is he (your husband) doing now? Good and healthy?
Wife: Thanks be to God. He can drive around, everywhere.
C: Before he came here, was he able to drive?
W: No, I was the one driving.
C: So, he is healthy, really healthy?
W: Yes, healthy.
C: Has he gone back to see his doctor?
W: Yes. The stent has been removed and there was no need to replace it anymore.
C: How many times did he change the stent?
W: Every 6 months, change a new stent. So twice a year.
C: And it has been 4 years now. Amazing. Thank God indeed for this blessing. Okay, when was his last visit to the doctor to remove the stent?
W: August 2014. The doctor said no need to put in a new stent. If he is jaundiced, then we need to come back to the hospital immediately.
C: All these years, didn’t the doctor ask him to do chemo?
W: We told the doctor that he (my husband) was on herbs. I asked the doctor if this was okay. He replied, “I don’t know” and he just smiled. The doctor know that my husband was taking your herbs.
C: Generally such cancer (pancreas) is very difficult. Indeed this is a miracle. Since the removal of the stent (ca. 5 months ago) did he encounter any problem?
NG was a 83-years old lady when she had been coughing. A CT scan done on 19 October 2009 showed a spiculated lesion measuring 1.5 x 2.7 cm in the right lower lobe and an ill defined lesion measuring 1 x 1.5 cm in the left lower lobe of her lung. Solitary mildly enlarged lymph node in the middle mediastinum. At least three lesion in the spleen, the largest measures 1.2 x 2.0 cm.
Due to her age, the doctor told the family not to proceed with any medical treatment.
Desperate, her son came to seek our help on 23 October 2009. NG was prescribed herbs and told to take care of her diet.
This is her story ….
We were informed that NG has passed away on 10 August 2014, almost 5 years after being diagnosed with lung cancer. All these years she had been on our therapy. She was 88 years old when she died.
The question we wish to pose is: Did she die of her cancer or of her ripe, old age?
Based on this story, do patients really need to panic and rush to undergo invasive treatments? Do you really need that chemo or radiation? In NG’s case, the doctor had the wisdom to realize that NG would perhaps die sooner if she were to undergo those standard invasive treatments .
We we saddened by NG’s demise. (But, who don’t die? Remember that when we were born we were already destined to die!). We understand that the family had lost a loving mother. However, we are also glad to note that NG had lived to a ripe age without sufferings from her cancer. She is indeed blessed. Glory be to God!
CB (H894) was 74 years old when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. His daughter came to seek our help on 25 May2012.
CB’s problem started two weeks prior to his daughter’s visit. He had coughs and became breathless. He was brought to a private hospital where fluid was tapped out of his lung.
His CEA on 8 May 2012 showed 13.18 (High). Pleural fluid (fluid from the lung) showed atypical cells suggestive of small cell carcinoma.
Preliminary scanogram on 10 May 2012, showed right pneumothorax of approximately 40 percent and partial collapse of the right upper lobe and total collapse of the right lower lobe.
Bilateral small pleural effusions are seen in the bases.
According to the doctor, the only treatment available for CB is chemotherapy. There is no other option. There will be no cure, only control the cancer. At best he has 6 to 12 months to live.
Since he was already old the family decided not to do any chemo.
CB’s condition at that time:
1. Breathing difficulty.
2. Cough with white phlegm.
3. Bowel movements, 2 to 3 days once.
4. No appetite.
5. Unable to sleep.
We prescribed Capsule A, Lung 1 and Lung 2, Lung Phlegm, Cough 5, Constipation and Gastric paste.
Chris: Who asked you to come and see me?
Daughter: Alice told me about you. She was your student some years ago.
This was what I told CB’s daughter:
I can’t cure your father! It all depends on him – whether he wants to take care of himself or not.
If he does not believe in what we do, there is no point coming here. You must believe first.
If you believe your doctor, then go and see the doctor. But some people refuse medical treatment, then it will be a different story.
The herbs are bitter – not nice to the taste, awful smell, etc. Can you father stand that? Some people cannot accept that.
He has to take care of his diet. Cannot eat anything he likes. He must understand this first. Only then can he take care of himself.
There is no such thing as “magic bullet”.
I suggest that you don’t take any herbs first. Go home and discuss with your family. There is no point wasting money and time. He has to be committed. That is the important thing. Then don’t take meat, sugar, table salt, dairy products and oil.
If he cannot take care of his diet, there is nothing I can do to help him.
Up to this day, I did not get to meet CB at all. He did not come to our centre. in fact, CB’s case of out of our “radar”.
However, on 11 June 2014, i.e. two years later, I happened to “bump” into CB’s daughter when she came to collect herbs for her father.
Chris: How is your father doing.
Daughter: Okay, no problem, no complaints.
C: Amazing – it has been more than 2 years now. He can eat, can sleep and has no complaints? Cannot ask for more!
SL (E-338) is a 46-year-old lady. She went to China for treatment of her breast cancer and spent more than RM 300,000. She did not get a cure. Instead, the cancer spread to her liver, bone and lung.
Gist of our conversation.
Chris: You come and see me. Let me honestly ask you, What do you expect me to do? Cure you?
SL: No. But I prefer something that is natural. I want to live life to the fullest.
C: So you do not expect a cure?
SL: Of course, I …
C: Of course, everyone wants a cure.
SL: Of course, of course.
C: But then nobody can give you a cure!
SL: Only God knows. I am very clear about that.
C: Okay, we will do the best we can.
SL: For me too, I have to do my best for myself.
Herbs – bitter and awful smell
C: The herbs that we are giving you are going to be bitter and smelly. You have to brew that.
SL: I am quite used to such smell.
Be prepared for healing crisis
C: If you think you just want to take the herbs for just a month and then stop it, then my advice is don’t take my herbs. What for? I am not saying that you must continue with my herbs. What I am trying to say is, If that is the what you intend to do (mentality), then that’s the wrong attitude. Understand?
SL: After I take the herbs, I go and check my blood!
C: What do you expect to find? Better? Wrong! I don’t believe that after taking the herbs for a month your blood is going to be good right away. Don’t be fooled by that notion. I am going to tell you that for the first two weeks when you start to take the herbs, you are going to suffer – Healing Crisis. That is okay, you have to go through this. After that you will get better and better.
If no benefit after a month on herbs, don’t take them anymore. Go find someone else for help
C: If you are not getting better after one month, my advice to you is don’t take my herbs anymore. This is because within a month, you will know if the herbs help you or not. I am saying this because I don’t want to cheat you — selling you an empty promise!
An example
There is this patient, after taking the herbs for 3 months, he came back to take more herbs. I asked him: The first day you came to us and now (after taking the herbs) – are you getting better or not? He replied: Oh, I am far better off. My respond: If you are better, continue taking the herbs and don’t stop. If this patient said he was not getting better, I would have told him to stop taking the herbs and he should go and find someone else for help. Why? Some patients may misunderstand, thinking that I am going to abandon them. No that. Why are you so dumb and stupid, doing something over and over again but it does not help you? Understand? And I know that within a month, generally you will see the effect of the herbs. It is not going to cure you but you will feel something different. In your case, it is going to be more difficult because you have so many problems.
Common sense
C: You see or not, I am just using common sense to help people. I can’t blame them because when they have cancer their world is upside down, they are lost and don’t know what to do. Here we are trying to help you on a long term basis. I am going to give you herbs to help you with your lung, liver, bone, besides your breasts. We are going to take care of 4 problems, not just one.
One month on the herbs
C: You took the herbs for …
SL: One month.
C: I want to ask you one simple question. After taking the herbs for a month, are you getting any better or not? How do you feel?
SL: Ya, I feel more alert.
C: More alert – do you have more energy?
SL: Yes, yes. I moved my bowels many times a day. Every time there were a lot of stools – came out a lot. I have to flush the toilet twice to clear away the stools. This happened the first 2 weeks after taking the herbs.
A 42-year-old lung cancer patient consulted Professor X. He was told to undergo chemotherapy. There would be no cure. The treatment would provide a 50 percent control (whatever that means). The cost of chemo would be about RM 11,000 per cycle. According to this honest professor patients die in two years or after receiving a maximum of thirty cycles of chemo. However, patients must undergo chemotherapy because there is no other option. According to the professor, chemo is the only way!
In this talk, lung cancer patients shared their experiences. These patients opted for CA Care Therapy instead of chemotherapy. They lived a normal life — free from the side effects of treatment — besides not having to pay hefty medical bills. Your life is your choice!
The last time I talked to KL (H-596) was on 9 June 2013. She was doing fine. She had just gone to see her doctor on 3 June 2013 and her ultrasound result did not show anything amiss. Her health had not deteriorated either.

When KL first came to seek our help she was severely jaundiced (yellowing) but over time her biliburin dropped to 41 from 143. Her CA 19.9 had also improved. When she last came on 9 June 2013, KL was her normal self. The only concern we had at that time was she still had jaundice — even though her bilirubin level had decreased substantially.
Another concern was whether the stent which was installed earlier had to be changed. It appeared at that point in time nothing was amiss. I suggested to her family that in the event that there was a blockage, KL had to be brought to the hospital immediately.
It was with sadness to learn that on 14 July 2013, her family members woke up in the morning to find her in a pool of blood. A blood vessel must have ruptured. KL was immediately sent to the hospital but the doctors could not do much. A day later, KL passed away.
KL managed to live a pain-free life for 2 years and 3 months while on our therapy.
Medical History
KL ‘s problems surfaced in April 2011 when she became jaundiced. She went to the hospital and was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis with moderate ascites. Her CBD (common bile duct – see diagram below) was dilated probably due to a lesion. Further investigation revealed presence of multiple stones in the gallbladder and distal CBD.
A biopsy of the Papilla of Vater was performed and indicated villous adenoma with high grade dysplasia, highly suggestive of underlying periampullary tumour at the head of the pancreas.
Subsequently ERCP (endoscopic retrograde of cholangiopancreatography) was done and a by-pass stent was installed. KL was told that surgery to remove the tumour could not be done at this (Penang) hospital. If she wanted to undergo an operation, she could go to a university hospital in Kuala Lumpur.
KL refused surgery and came to seek our help on 29 April 2011.
What You Should Know About Liver Cirrhosis
Cirrhosis is scarring of the liver as a result of continuous, long-term liver damage. Scar tissue replaces healthy tissue in the liver and prevents the liver from working properly.
The damage caused by cirrhosis is permanent and can’t be reversed. Cirrhosis cannot be cured.
Liver cirrhosis is usually far advanced before it is diagnosed.
Medicines do not help regenerate new liver cells.
Causes of liver cirrhosis: alcoholism, chronic hepatitis B/C.
Certain other diseases like nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and certain medications can cause liver cirrhosis. Autoimmune inflammation of the liver, abnormal levels of iron and copper leading to metabolic disorders, and disorders of the biliary system can lead to liver cirrhosis.
Cirrhosis prognosis is poor.
Life expectancy of patients diagnosed with cirrhosis in the second stage, will be about 6 to 10 years. When cirrhosis of the liver is diagnosed during the last stage, the life expectancy is about 1-3 years.
Lifestyle changes are the cornerstone of the treatment for the disease.
People with liver cirrhosis may develop complications:
When the liver is heavily scarred, the blood cannot get through the liver at the normal pace due to obstruction presented by the scar tissue, thus creating a higher than normal pressure in the portal vein – the main vein feeding the liver (portal hypertension).
The portal hypertension often causes ascites (accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity).
The portal hypertension may lead to the formation of varices. Varices have thin walls and they may rupture and bleed. The two main locations where bleeding is likely to occur are the lower oesophagus /upper stomach and the perianal region. Oesophageal varices are likely to bleed most heavily, and is often difficult to control.
Cirrhosis sometimes may lead to jaundice (yellowing of the whites of the eyes and/or the skin) due to the accumulation of bilirubin in the blood. If the bilirubin is excreted in the urine, the urine may turn dark.
Cirrhosis may also lead to hepatic encephalopathy, which manifests as fatigue or confusion.
People with cirrhosis often bruise easily. The level of platelets in the blood may be lower than normal if the spleen is enlarged.
Although there is no cure for cirrhosis of the liver, there are treatments available that can stop or delay its progress, minimize the damage to liver cells, and reduce complications. The treatment used depends on the cause of cirrhosis of the liver.
For cirrhosis caused by alcohol abuse, the person must stop drinking alcohol to halt the progression of cirrhosis.
If a person has hepatitis, the doctor may prescribe steroids or antiviral drugs to reduce liver cell injury.
For people with cirrhosis caused by autoimmune diseases, Wilson’s disease, or hemochromatosis, the treatment varies.
Medications may be given to control the symptoms of cirrhosis. Edema (fluid retention) and ascites (fluid in the abdomen) are treated, in part, by reducing salt in the diet. Diet and drug therapies can help improve the altered mental function that cirrhosis can cause. Laxatives such as lactulose may be given to help absorb toxins and speed their removal from the intestines.
The Ampulla Vater is a nipple like projection into the duodenum (the first portion of the intestine) into which the pancreatic and bile ducts open. All of the pancreatic and biliary secretion enter the duodenum through the Ampulla Vater.
Blockage of the Ampulla Vater by the tumor leads to obstruction of drainage of the pancreatic and biliary secretions into the intestine. Blockage of drainage of bile into the duodenum leads to the development of jaundice.
Carcinoma of the ampulla of Vater is a rare malignancy.
For patients with unresectable disease, endoscopic stenting to achieve biliary decompression is an appropriate palliative procedure.
Surgical resection with curative intent is the only option for long-term survival.
Pancreaticoduodenectomy is the procedure of choice for patients with resectable disease.
Unfortunately, most patients with carcinoma of the ampulla of Vater die of recurrent disease. Treatment fails in nearly 70% of patients with poor prognostic features, and these patients ultimately die of their disease.
Distant metastasis to the liver, peritoneum, and pleura was the dominant failure pattern after surgery.
Radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and chemoradiotherapy have been tried, but response rates probably are low, and an effect on survival is questionable.
Sae Min Kim et al of the College of Medicine, Korea University, Seoul, Korea (in J. Korean Medical Science, 7:295-303, 1992) reviewed 766 cases of surgically treated periampullary cancers in their paper entitled Surgical Treatment of Periampullary Cancer. They noted the following:
66 percent of patients were in Stage 3
8 percent were in Stage 2
26 percent were in Stage 1
Not all cancers can be resected. Resectability rate was 32 percent.
Mean post-operative complications was 44 percent.
Survival rate at 1, 3, and 5 years in the resected group were 68 percent, 25 percent and 15 percent.
In the non-resectable group, survival rate at 1 and 2 years were 7 percent and 0 percent. Non survived 18 months after treatment.
KL had both liver cirrhosis and a rare cancer called periampullary cancers. Even the doctor in a private hospital here was not able to handle the case, preferring to refer her for surgery at a university hospital in Kuala Lumpur. KL refused further medical treatment.
Take time to ponder on the following:
What could have happen if KL was to undergo surgery? Would her quality of life be better off or would the procedure make life more miserable?
Would surgery extend her life?
Medical doctors in Korea could give us some idea of what could happen. To start with not all such cancer can be resected — even more so with an underlying liver cirrhosis. KL might not be a candidate for surgery at all.
If KL were to undergo surgery, the chances of post-operative complications is very high indeed. So surgery might not be an attractive option for her case.
KL chose to do nothing — just took herbs and changed her diet. She lived another 2 years and 3 months. According to the Korea study above, even with medical treatment (but without surgery) no one survived after 18 months.
So, KL had her blessing and herbs are not “unproven” or hocus pocus like many “educated” experts may want you to believe.
And above all the family did not have to pay through the nose to keep her well until the last day of her life.
