Cervical Cancer, Stage 1B spread to her lungs and liver. She was given three to six months to live

Melisa (a61) was a 44-year old lady.

1997. Melisa’s problem started when she had severe pains in the shoulder muscles. At night she had muscle cramps in the legs. She went to see a doctor who told her that nothing was wrong and that she had been working too hard. She should take a holiday and relax. Some months later she did her annual pap smear. Her doctor said everything was alright.

A few months later, she suffered severe, heavy bleeding. The blood discharge had clots and it flowed out rather suddenly and wet the entire floor of the bathroom.

October 1998.  She went to see a gynaecologist at a private hospital. A biopsy confirmed she had cancer. She underwent a hysterectomy. The pathology report dated 2 October 1998 stated the following:

Hysterectomy specimen: uterus and cervix including short vaginal cuff and parametrium together with both appendages weighing in toto 160 grams.

The cervix showed a whitish fleshy friable tumour invading almost the entire length and thickness of its wall measuring 5 x 2 x 1.5 cm. The ectocervix and lower uterine segment were also found to be invaded. The vaginal cuff and parametrium were grossly free from any tumour invasion.

Interpretation: 1. Adenosquamous cell carcinoma of cervix with micrcoscopic  invasion of parametrium but vaginal cuff was clear. Figo Stage 1b.  2. Metastatic involvement of one left internal iliac node.

Remark: altogether twelve right pelvic node and eight left pelvic nodes were received.

After the operation, she underwent radiation treatments in a hospital in Penang. She suffered badly from the radiotherapy. Barely two months afterwards, Melisa ended up having to go in and out of the hospital due to pains, fevers and high temperatures. Later, a scan showed that there was pus in her abdomen. The doctor extracted out the pus. She was well for a while. Then, a scan revealed that the cancer had spread to her lungs and liver.

Melisa ended up in a hospital in Singapore – in search for a cure. The doctor at first suggested that she underwent a liver surgery to remove the infected parts. Melisa reasoned out how surgery could have helped her when the entire liver and lungs were infected with cancer? She declined surgery but went ahead with chemotherapy. The first shot of chemotherapy was tolerable but the second and third cycles were really bad. She preferred to die rather than complete the entire regimen.

One of her employee told Melisa to seek the help of a Dr.Teo. On 19 March 2000, Melisa came to see us.  At that time she could hardly walk.

We requested to have an interview with Melisa so that we can share her healing experience with others. She agreed. On 14 June 2001 at 4 p.m. a video-taped interview was conducted. Let Melisa herself tell you of her healing experience.

Tell us about your experience of radiotherapy that you had in Penang.

I underwent 25 times of radiation treatment and one session of “internal treatment”. For this internal treatment, three long probes were inserted into me and I had to lie on the bed for 72 hours in a special room – immobilised. During that treatment the doctor visited me once. This was an experience that I would not wish to go through again.

I suffered badly from the radiation treatments. I had sore mouth, was constipated and the anus bled. Sometimes I had diarrhoea. I felt like having a fire inside me. I could not eat or sleep. I vomited. Every morning when I woke up, I dread the thought of having to go through the radiation treatment again.

After the radiotherapy, were you cured or did you feel better?

No. Barely two months past, I spent time in and out of the hospital. I had pains, fevers and high temperatures. The doctor did not know exactly what was wrong with me. Then later, another doctor in the same hospital took a scan and detected that I had pus in my abdomen. I was hospitalised for eight days and the doctor extracted out some 600 ml of pus from my abdomen. He did it three times. Then I was alright.  A few months later, during a follow-up visit, a scan showed that the cancer had spread to both my liver and the lungs.

What did the doctor say about the cancer that had spread? How serious was it?

The doctor told me that both these organs had numerous dots and at least thirty spots were visible. They were the sizes of five, ten and twenty cents coins.

There was nothing the gynaecologist could do for me. I went to consult a doctor at the cancer hospital. He told me that I could do chemotherapy as a palliative measure but in my case there was no hope for a cure. This was the last stage cancer. I was told to go and make out my will.  My gynaecologist was a nice person – he tried to find doctors elsewhere for me to proceed further with my treatments. At last, I landed in Singapore.

Tell us about your treatment in Singapore.

The oncologist at first suggested that I had surgery to remove those infected parts. On consultation with my Penang doctor, I asked the oncologist how surgery could remove all those spots in the liver. The oncologist replied: Who is the cancer doctor, I or your doctor in Penang? I refused to have the surgery but agreed to go along with chemotherapy.

Before doing the chemotherapy, were you told what this treatment is all about? The side effects and benefits.

No. I had all along believed that the treatment was to kill and get rid of the cancer cells. I was not told that the treatments would be difficult and I had to suffer such side effects. The doctor did not carry out any further test or diagnosis. The appointment was fixed and chemotherapy started the next day “otherwise the cancer cells would spread more” (that was what the doctor told me). I was scheduled to do six cycles divided into 12 shots, i.e. 2 injections represent one cycle. I did not know what drugs were used on me.

(It is indeed most regrettable that Melisa was not able to produce the scan of her metastatic condition. Her Singapore oncologist kept the medical report and scan films. She requested that these be returned to her. Unfortunately, the oncologist refused telling Melisa that she had not completed her chemo-treatments and that he would not be able to return those films and report. This same oncologist also did not disclose the chemo-drugs used on her (many patients also told similar things about this same doctor. This was not an isolated case experienced by Melisa alone).

Point to ponder: The report and films rightly belong to Melisa. She brought them along to Singapore. How could it become the property of the oncologist? Why did the doctor want to keep her record? We wonder if such conduct is humane/ethical or what? Informed consent means that the doctor is supposed to explain the consequences of the treatment plan to their patients – telling them of both the good and the bad).

Tell us what was it like to be on chemotherapy?

It is very difficult to put in words the sufferings I had to endure.

The first chemo-short was tolerable. I felt sleepy, tired and groggy. I did not vomit but I could not sleep.

The second and third shots were really bad. Everything seemed not right. Sitting down was also not right, standing up was also not right. I could not sleep. In whatever position I was in, I just did not feel right. I could not eat. I felt something was blocked in the chest. The stomach felt bloated and there was wind trying to push out. Sometime I vomited.  It was difficult to breathe. My hair dropped off every time I bathe and it blocked the drainage hole of the bathroom. When I stood up I felt like falling down. I could not get into the car – felt giddy and the world spinning around me.

Under such a situation I felt I would rather die. Remaining alive had no meaning any more.

Having got to go through that agony, what did the doctor say about the chances of your cure?

He said it all depends on me. He did not know what my chance was. He said I should be lucky if I could live for three to six months. If I survive then he would give me more chemos. I came to understand that I was given chemo to prolong my life for three to six months. The doctor also told me that if I die I would not die in pain if I had chemotherapy.

(Point to ponder:  Chemotherapy was given to Melisa  just to prolong her life for three to six months? And when she dies, she is NOT supposed to die in pain, if she had chemotherapy. Right? Is that logical? What about the sufferings she had to endure while on chemotherapy? Also, if she survived – she would need to have more chemos? Where is the cure? When is the chemotherapy going to stop – when she dies?)

How much did it cost you to get your treatment?

One shot of chemotherapy (given over two times) cost me S$6000, i.e. RM 12,000. In addition I have to pay for other costs – like blood test, hospital, hotel, travel etc. So, all in all, each visit to the hospital cost me about RM 15,000 to 20,000.

After all these sufferings and expenses, did your health improved?

No. I was not better at all. I felt miserable. I could not work. I could not do what I like. I had to stay home. I could not even walk out to the gate of my house for lack of strength.  I could not sleep and I could not stand up for long. I felt heaty inside. When I put on the air-con full blast, my head felt cold. When I put off the air-cond, I felt I was on fire. In the middle of the night I stood or sat by the window looking out into the darkness and felt the cool air. I wondered if life is worth living. Life has no more meaning – to be alive like this. I knew I was dying.

Did you gave up chemotherapy?

No. Not yet. Then, one nice worker of mine, who worked in the factory came and told me about CA Care which is right in Penang and which I did not even know about.  Since I have NO other avenues  – To do chemo also die, not to do chemo also die  – I then decided to come and see you.

What happened after you came to see us and took the herbs? This is what happened after I took the herbs that you prescribed.

The first day, nothing spectacular happened. I only started to urinate a lot and felt a bit better. The urine was smelly. Before the herbs the urine was always heaty.

The second day on the herbs, I vomited. Anyway, I kept telling myself. This was to get rid of something in me. I still urinated a lot.

The third day was great. I felt the muscle in the neck had loosened up. I was able to put on my dress and went to my office. Before the herbs I was not able to go to my office. Also I was not able to sit in the car. Now I could do all these. Even my office worker was surprised and asked me if I was already well. I felt elated and confidence grew within me. I knew I was on the right path to healing.  From that day on I felt better and better.

Then, did you continue with your chemotherapy?

I felt better with the herbs. I was in a dilemma – not sure if I should continue with the chemotherapy or not. I asked your opinion but you (Dr. Teo) were non-committal. I went to consult my gynaecologist and seek for more information. It was then that I learnt that chemo-drugs are actually poisons. They not only kill the cancer cells, but also kill the good cells and may destroy the vital organs in my body. All along I thought that chemo-drugs kill only the cancer cells and they would cure me. If this was what it is, I reasoned that all these treatments would damage the organs in my body. How could my body recover from the cancer? I could NOT sleep the whole night and was unsure of what to do. My husband also told me that I had to make up my own mind and decide for myself. At last, I came to the decision NOT to continue with the chemotherapy.

When you decided to stop the chemotherapy – were you under pressure to change this decision? Yes. Many people said many things to me. The problem is that all these comments came from people who NEVER experience the sufferings – they did not know what it was like to suffer from those chemo-drugs. Then the nurse from the Singapore oncologist called me THREE times asking me to come back and complete my treatments. In addition, the oncologist personally talked to me TWICE over the phone telling me to come and complete the treatment. They told me that it would be dangerous if I did not complete the treatment. However, I was firm in my decision. In the last conversation with the oncologist, I told him that I have NO MORE MONEY to pay for the treatments. With that, no more calls came from his office. My ploy to get him off my back worked!

After you gave up chemotherapy and were on the herbs – did you take any other herbs as well?

No. I was firm with this. There were many kind-hearted and well meaning people who came and told me about who is good or what is good for me. I listened to them but I was firm on taking your herbs only. Some people commented that I have been taking the herbs for so long and I should change them for something else. There is no reason to. The herbs helped me and l kept taking them.

Now, Melisa – you have been on the herbs for about 1 year 3 months now. Did you at any one time experience any difficulty?

No. I felt better with each day. Before I had cancer I was very active – running around like a horse. Then when I was sick I could not do anything – could not even walk to the toilet. Now, I am back to almost normal like I was before – running around again like the same horse before. I drove by myself to Johor Baru, Kelantan, Trengganu, etc. I flew to Hong Kong. I drove my four-wheel drive into the hills. I visited my durian plantation. I played golf and carried my own golf bag. I worked in my factory and office from morning till night. I felt normal and I did not worry about my illness at all. I know I am alright now.

Did you go back to see your doctor for any check up?

No. I used to meet my doctor and he asked me to go back to the hospital and do a scan every six months. He also called me in the office. I said, yes, yes and smiled. Once, I asked my doctor: what would you do if the scan shows that I have a tumour inside me? He said, well go for chemotherapy. No, another chemotherapy is not the answer for me.

Melisa, tell us what do you think is the secret of your healing success?

I believe three factors had contributed to my healing. One – 30 percent was due to my full confidence and faith in the healer. If I have difficulty and if it concerned medical procedures, I went to see my gynaecologist and if I have problems related to my cancer I come to see you (Dr.Teo).

Two – 50 percent, was due to the herbs. They helped me from day one of my taking them. I felt the effects almost immediately. From day three I was able to go to my office. From then on I knew that the herbs were good and right for me. I have no doubt about that.

Three – 20 percent was due to my mental attitude. After I came and see you I knew that I have found my way to healing. I was happy and I did not worry any more. I took life positively. I became well. I look forward to living another 20 years and more. For now, I am hoping to build up my company – bigger and bigger. And I shall continue to take the herbs without fail. In fact, I need to tell you this. I took the capsules A and B five times a day instead of three. I kept the herbs in the office, in the car and by my bed. I took the teas using ten spoonfuls instead of six spoonfuls as you told me to take. I took MORE herbs and never less. Some friends said that the herbs were smelly, tasted so awful and I should look out for better alternatives. I must say I should thank the herbs for helping me. In fact, I figured that I hope to be able to take the herbs for the next twenty years or more. I have my hope.  I have my vision and my dreams. I know where I am going.

Melisa related to us two interesting episodes.

A nurse in the gynaecologist’s office called Melisa’s office one day. She discretely asked the operator if Melisa was still alive. Her staff replied that her boss was still around and had gone to Hong Kong. The nurse asked if she went to Hong Kong for medical treatment. No, no….on business.

Melisa told us that many of her friends never believed that she had cancer in the first place! On day, one medical doctor came into her office and asked her husband if there was a lady in his office who had cancer and was supposed to die but had recovered instead. Her husband said it was his wife. At the time Melisa walked into the office and the doctor burst out: Who said that people who had cancer need to die?

We rejoice in this healing. We pray that God will show Melisa His grace and blessing for many more years to come.

It was with sadness that about two years later, Melisa’s urinary track failed and she had stents installed. She was told that this was caused by her earlier radiation treatment.  Then her husband found another woman and this led to a divorce. Melisa died soon afterwards.

Melanoma, the deadly skin cancer. Three of her fellow patients have died – but she is fine and still taking our herbs

SN (H19) is a 50-year-old female. Sometime in 2007, she had a black mole on her right foot removed through surgery.  It was a melanoma, a dangerous and deadly skin disease.  After the surgery she did not do any chemotherapy or radiotherapy. There was no medication either.

About a year plus later, she had swelling in the right inguinal region (see diagram).

Source: http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/inguinal+region

A biopsy was performed. The histopathology report dated 20 October 2008 stated, “Right inguinal dissection – right inguinal node malignant melanoma (metastatic)”.  SN underwent another operation to remove the lump which was about 1 inch in size.  Later she received 30 sessions of radiotherapy.

She was asked to undergo chemotherapy. She declined. There was no further medical treatment. She continued to visit her doctors every three or six month for routine check. Two doctors were involved – the surgeon and an oncologist at the government hospital.

On 23 March 2009, SN came to seek our help. She knew about us after reading the Chinese newspaper – Kong Ming.  She did not have any problem, except for a swelling leg. She was prescribed Capsule A, Lymphoma 1 and Lymphoma 2 tea, C-tea and Lower Edema Tea.  Ever since her first visit to us, SN returned to update her progress every three to six months. In December 2010, she complained of hot flashes and pain in the back. These were probably due to her menopause. We prescribed Menopause Pill and since then her problems were resolved.

SN came to see us again on 16 December 2011 – this is almost three years since she first came to see us. She and her husband shared her experience which I believe many readers ought to know.

Gist of our conversation

  1. 20 March 2009: Since she has declined chemotherapy, the doctor did not have any medication for her. She was left on her own. She read about CA Care in the Chinese newspaper – Kong Ming. So  she decided to come and seek our help.
  2. 16 December 2011 – 2 years 9 months later: Patient:  I am dong fine. My tail bone is painful. I had a fall. Otherwise I have no problem.
  3. Chris:  You came in March 2009. Now it is December 2011. That’s about 3 years now. And there is no problem!
  4. P: I go for follow-up with my doctors regularly. I see two doctors – one is the oncologist and the other is my surgeon. My doctor said, “Since there is no swelling, etc. There is nothing wrong with me. Come back every 6 months for check-up.” At one time the oncologist took an X-ray of my chest. He found everything was okay.
  5. Husband: I think the most important thing is the change of diet.
  6. P: I followed your instructions. My friend – fellow patients in the hospital. She just died about two months ago. She had an operation like me and then suffered recurrence. She underwent a second surgery, had radiotherapy and chemotherapy. She did not change her diet and did not take herbs. I told her about you but she did not want to come and see you.
  7. H: The doctor who operated on my wife was very curious. He asked her a lot of questions. He told her that he operated on four melanoma patients – one was my wife. My wife is the only patient surviving today. The three other patients have already died.
  8. P: I told the doctor that I am taking your herbs and also changed my diet.
  9. C: Good. I cannot tell doctors such thing. But patients can tell their doctors!
  10. P: I want the doctor to know the truth so that others who come to him may also have a chance to live like me.
  11. C: I understand. Patients get all kinds of suggestions and advice when they get cancer. All these make them confused. You are our second success case. The other one is also a lady. She had metastatic melanoma that had spread to her lungs. When she came here she was coughing with blood. I did not expect her to survive. Today she is still around – healthy and with no problem.
  12. H:  Now my health is getting better. I am “forced” to eat what my wife is eating – following her diet!

Melanoma is a deadly disease for which chemotherapy or radiotherapy does not seem to be effective. Read the review of the literature below to know. However, we are really lucky that it is a rare disease – at least in Malaysia. Over the 16 years dealing with cancer patients, we encountered less than a dozen cases of melanoma.  Off hand, I could only remember four cases.

Last week, a man came with melanoma that had spread to his brain. He underwent a brain surgery. He told us that the doctor had taken everything out and he has no more cancer. I do not know what he came to see us in the first place because as far as he concerned he has no more cancer and he did not want to take the herbs or change his diet.

About two years ago, a young lady came to us after surgery on her leg. It was a melanoma. While waiting to consider if she would go for chemotherapy or not, she came to try our herbs. After a few weeks we did not get to see her again.

Guat (read her story here: https://cancercaremalaysia.com/2010/12/12/metastatic-melanoma-lung-cancer/) is a 53-year-old female. She was diagnosed with a melanoma which has spread to her lungs. When she came to see us in November 2007, Guat was having bad coughs with blood.

The doctor told Guat that her condition was very serious and suggested chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Guat refused further medical intervention and was started on the herbs. It has been four years now and Guat is till healthy and living a normal life. Once she came and told us that many friends have been asking her why she did not die yet! Perhaps it is hard to live a life according to people’s expectation.

Perhaps SN’s life is even harder to live. During the last visit to us (video) she told us that she had just visited a fellow-patient who had just died. This lady also had a melanoma and underwent surgery at the same hospital at the time as she. However, they chose different paths of healing. While SN came to see our help and was on herbs and good diet, this lady went for chemotherapy and ate anything she liked. Although SN shared her healing experience with her friend, this friend would not listen. Back at the hospital, SN was told by the surgeon who operated on her that he had operated four patients with melanoma at that time when SN was his patient. Now, three patients have already died and only SN remains alive. The surgeon wanted to know what SN has done to be able to survive that long.

One message we wish to impart to patients is this – Your healing and your life is a matter of your choice! You decide the path you wish to take and bear the consequences of that decision.

For us at CA Care, we feel satisfied that in spite of the grim and gloomy prognosis of melanoma, these two committed patients who came to us made it good. While they may not be cured – yet they live a normal, happy and pain-free life. To God be the glory!

What you need to know about melanoma

  1. Is the most dangerous type of skin cancer and is the leading cause of death from skin disease.
    1. Treatment is more difficult when the melanoma has spread to other organs. When it spreads to other organs, it usually cannot be cured.
    2. Melanoma that is very deep or has spread to the lymph nodes is more likely to return after treatment.
    3. Melanoma can spread to other parts of the body very quickly. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001853/)

Surgery

  • Surgery is needed to treat melanoma. The skin cancer and some surrounding tissue will be removed. How much skin is removed depends on how deep the melanoma has grown.
  • If the cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes, these lymph nodes have  to be removed too.
  • Surgery may be done to remove cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. This is done to relieve pain or discomfort associated with the growing cancer.

Chemotherapy

  • Chemotherapy has long been a mainstay for treating metastatic melanoma (that is, melanoma that has spread beyond its site of origin).
  • There is no clear consensus among doctors about the most effective use of these drugs, which most likely reflects their low level of activity. Nevertheless, chemotherapy does help some people.
  • The bottom line is that chemotherapy as an overall strategy is not very effective in treating melanoma. Only 15% to 20% of patients respond to chemotherapy, it typically works only for less than a year.
  • It has little to no effect on survival time — not to mention the side effects. http://skincancer.about.com/od/treatmentoptions/a/melanoma_chemotherapy.htm

Radiotherapy

  • The role of radiation therapy as primary or adjuvant treatment for melanoma is controversial.

20 December 2011

  • She was unable to urinate. Her bladder felt full and distended. We advised her to seek doctor’s help if the problem persisted.
  • Her legs had no strength.
  • After the first Detox program, she felt better .

Chris:  What do you mean by better?

Patient: My fingers are not tight any more – before I felt tight. I can now move my feet. Before, I was not able to do that.

(Patient stood up with the help of her son – she was not able to this before).

21 December 2011

  • She was able to urinate – problem resolved.
  • Strength and movements of her legs improved.

What about your breathing?

P: Good. It is getting better.

Okay Ibu, you came yesterday. Compare your condition before you did the therapy yesterday and today after doing the therapy – did you feel any better?

P: Yes, I felt better. I can now stand up. I can walk. I feel more alert.

D: She started to move her bowels again.

Slowly. I believe you will benefit more in the next few days. You are getting better now. Go home and learn how to take care of yourself. Do not do anything that is not right.

D: Mama, it is only one week (on the CA Care Therapy).

I really cannot believe that it was only last week that you were in the hospital on oxygen – and now you are here.

22 December 2011

Patient has undergone three sessions of the e-Therapy.

  • Last night was unable to sleep because she had to move her bowels and also urinate (Note: on the first day before the e-Therapy she was unable to urinate).
  • Yesterday her bowel movements were six times in the day time and four times at night.
  • Because of her frequent bowel movements she was not able to sleep well. She also feel weak.
  • Her stomach felt uncomfortable – with churning pain.
  • She sometimes coughed with white phlegm.
  • Her legs still lacked strength.

23 December 2011

  • Her stomach was still painful.
  • Bowels movements had reduced to six times.
  • Her coughing had improved.
  • She still lacked strength in her legs.

24 December 2011

RJ and her family were ready to go home. In the morning we went to visit them in their apartment.

  • Patient was doing alright. She had no more pain – the stomach pain she complained about earlier was gone.
  • There was no breathing difficulty at all and she was able to sleep flat.
  • Her frequent bowel movements were resolved.
  • Sleeping was difficult.
  • Coughs still persisted.

Daughter: For the past two days, mama was able to walk to the dining table outside to have her food there. Her appetite started to improve.  Last night she had difficulty sleeping. Her coughs still persisted. But this was not as bad as when she was in the hospital.

Gist of our conversation

  1. Two days after her return from receiving chemotherapy in Singapore, RJ started to cough and she had fevers. She lacked strength. She was hospitalized in Methodist Hospital in Medan. At that time RJ was still able to walk by herself.
  2. Later her haemoglobin and platelet dropped and she had a blood transfusion. Eight packets of blood were given to her.
  3. After three or four days in the hospital, she was not able to walk. She had no strength.
  4. Suddenly she became breathless. X-ray indicated fluid in her lungs. The doctor tapped out the fluid using a syringe. The first tapping consisted of 19 withdrawals of 60 ml each. X-ray indicated there was still more fluid in the lung.
  5. A second tapping was done – consisting of 12 withdrawals of 60 ml each.
  6. Even after the pleural tapping, RJ still had to use oxygen for breathing.
  7. Before the pleural tapping, RJ was breathless and was on oxygen but at this point in time she did not gasp for air. After the first pleural tapping – the breathing was the same. But after the second tapping, her breathing became heavy and she was gasping for air.
  8. On 15 December 2011, her daughter started to give her CA Care herbs. Capsule A, Lung 1 + Lung Phlegm and Lung 2 + Lung Phlegm.
  9. From 15 December 2011 onwards, RJ was only on CA Care’s herbs. Her daughter kept aside all doctor’s medication.  This was done without the knowledge of the doctor or the nurses in the hospital.
  10. After taking the herbs, RJ started to discharge a lot of phlegm. In addition she moved her bowels very often and discharged a lot of stools. The first bowel movement had some traces of blood. After that it was normal – no blood.
  11. By 17 December (three days on herbs) RJ was able to breathe normally. There was no need to use oxygen anymore. She was also able to recognize people around her.  Before this she was not able to recognize the family memebrs around her.
  12. Even though she was on oxygen, RL was still gasping for air.
  13. After taking Cough 5 tea for two days, RJ did not cough anymore. Before this she was coughing very badly. So with no cough her breathing became normal.
  14. An X-ray indicated the lung had improved.
  15. After the herbs started to help RJ, the daughter began to gradually reduce the flow of oxygen in the tube.  This was done without the knowledge of the doctor or nurses. She even told the doctor, “Let me take charge of the situation.” The doctor responded, “You become your own doctor.”
  16. On 17 December 2011, the doctor told the family to go home and pray. The cancer had already spread   throughout the body. The daughter said, “At that time mother was really in terrible condition. She was gasping for breath, her eyes rolled upwards and she was not able to recognise any one of us. I had to dig into her mouth to open it and she bit me.”
  17.  All the family members from different parts of Indonesia flew home to be with RJ.
  18. On 18 December 2011, the situation improved. The oxygen supply to the tube was totally cut off. RJ did not need any more oxygen.  The doctor came in and said, “It is a miracle. Now you can go quickly to Penang.”
  19. RJ was discharged from the hospital on 19 December 2011, and the next day, she and her family flew to Penang.

We asked her daughter, “Did your mother really benefit from the herbs?”

She replied, “Now there is a vast difference in my mother’s condition. She had improved so much. She is beginning to have more strength and was able to move by herself. Even on the first day we came here, 20 December and now – two days later, there are a lot of improvements. The only problem she has now is the pain in her stomach.” (Note: this stomach pain was gone after the e-Therapy!).

Utero-Ovary-Lung Cancer, Part 2: Hope: After Three Days on Herbs While in the Hospital

It was a great surprise indeed that on the morning of 20 December 2011, the patient, accompanied by her doctor friend and family members, came to CA Care. Patient was discharged from the hospital the day before and this morning they flew to Penang.

Hear this miraculous story yourself.

Chris: Oo, you are the one who came to see me last week – you said your mother was in Methodist Hospital in Medan?

Daughter: Yes, yes. Mother was hospitalized for about 12 days. Immediately after being discharged we all flew here.

Wah, there are so many people?

D: All our family members. Mom has many children. And that one is mom’s brother. And this one is our good friend and she is a medical doctor.

You came to see me on 14 December 2011. And I gave you some herbs. Did your mom take them?

D: Yes. I gave her the herbs starting on 15 December until now. She has taken the herbs for five days already.

(Turning to patient) After taking the herbs for 5 days, how did you feel?

Patient:  I feel good – more comfortable. I did not have to use the oxygen anymore.

Brother: Before the herbs, she was breathless and needed oxygen to breathe. After taking the herbs for 3 days she was not breathless anymore.

D: I did not tell the doctor that mom was taking herbs. I did not give mom all those pills that the doctor prescribed. I just gave mom your herbs. But those medication given by injections, they were continued as usual because that was beyond my control.

B: The doctor was surprised. He said it was a miracle (that she could recover).

D: Yes, after taking the herbs, mom did not have to use oxygen anymore. Her lungs had less fluid. Before that she was gasping for breath (showing like a fish gasping for air).  Initially after taking the herbs, mom moved her bowels three to four times.

Yes, very good. That is what we want.

D: We were worried if something had gone wrong. But she still continued to take the herbs.

(Turning to patient) Ibu, do you have any problem taking those herbs?

D: Bitter!

P: But I have no difficulty drinking them.

After taking the herbs for a few days, did you not experience some “difficulties” (healing crisis)?

P: No, I felt better, No difficulty at all

So when you were in the hospital, you only took the herbs?

D: Yes, I cooked the herbs at home and brought them to the hospital.

Ibu, now how do you feel?

P: Blank … empty. I cannot urinate. This is my main problem now. I feel my bladder full.

D: Her legs have no strength.

But after taking the herbs, do you still have breathing difficulties?

P: No problem.

Metastatic Breast Cancer: From Despair to Hope and from Hope to Healing

Medical history

This patient was diagnosed with breast cancer that had spread to her bones. She went to China for treatment – using chemotherapy, cryoablation and radioactive seeding  In 2008, she went to China thrice, in 2009, twice and in 2010 once.  These treatments did not cure her. Since February 2011, she was unable to walk. The left leg was in pain and swollen. Two months later she had surgery for her leg. But her pains persisted.

In late September 2011, she had pains in her abdomen and was hospitalized. Her family refused further medical treatment. Then they learned about CA Care through another patient (see her case) https://cancercaremalaysia.com/2011/09/10/lung-brain-cancer-an-impossible-healing-1-hope-after-a-disaster-%E2%80%93-when-iressa-tarceva-forty-cycles-of-chemo-and-sutent-did-not-cure-her/

Without hesitation, the patient’s husband and daughter-in-law brought her to seek our help the next day,  9 October 2011.

From Despair to Hope

She was wheel chair bound. She had to be carried up into the airplane. She was unable to stand up by herself. She was unable to sleep and had pains in her legs throughout the day and night. After five days on the e-Therapy and herbs, her conditions improved.  Her despair turned into hope!  On 26 October 2011, her daughter-in-law called to say that the patient (at home in Jakarta) was able to walk by herself with the help of a walking stick. On the day when she returned home, she was able to walk slowly into the airplane – no need to be carried into the plane like the day she came to Penang. Read her full story: https://cancercaremalaysia.com/2011/10/23/breast-cancer-from-despair-to-hope-in-five-days/

From Hope to Healing

About two months later, 7 December 2011, patient and her husband and daughter-in-law came back to see us again. Patient had improved tremendously. She was able to stand up and walk slowly by herself. She was able to talk and smile. Indeed a big contrast from the previous visit when everybody was serious, grim and full of anticipation. This second visit was full of smile and laughter – very relaxed.  The only concerns patient has now are the discomforts of her right leg and her lack of strength when walking.

An Acugraph reading showed that her qi level was only 19% (very low). We prescribed her the Energy Tea. After three days on this herbal tea, her qi increased to 31% (see figure below).

Patient also underwent the e-Therapy. The discomforts improved slightly after the treatment. Watch this video and see the unfolding of healing process.

This is a brief transcription of our video conversation.

7 December 2011

She stood up and slowly walked by herself. It was wonderful!

Chris:  After you went home, I did not know what had happened to you. I only hoped that your condition did not drop (deteriorate).

Daughter-in-law:  Her health improved further.

When going into the airplane, could she walk by herself?

DIL: Yes, she walked by her herself (Note: two months ago, she had to be carried into the plane).

Okay, what is her main problem now?

DIL:  Pain in the legs – everyday and throughout the day. At night the pains becomes more intense. It is a kind of sore pain.

The first time she came, she had abdominal pain?

DIL: That is gone now – no more pain.

After you went home – that is already two months now – is her condition getting better or worse?

DIL: Yes better – getting to be normal. Now it is only this leg pain that is troubling her – otherwise she is okay. No headache or dizziness, able to sleep well – if there is no pain.

She is still staying in Jakarta?

DIL: No, she went home to Kalimantan for the past five weeks.  She just came to Jakarta a few days ago to come to Penang.

Ibu, when you return to your hometown – you got to meet your friends – what did they say?

(Laugh!) Very good.

Happy to see your friends and relatives again?

(Nodding and smiling).

11 December 2011

Okay (after three days on the e-Therapy and herbs) what is the problem now?

DIL: Only her right leg. Now (9 pm) she has no pain but later into the night (after 10 pm) she starts to feel the pain – but the time is not fixed – depends. She also feels the pain in the day time but it is not as intense as at night.

On Wednesday (7 December) we did the e-Therapy.  After that you said there was less pain. We continue with the e-Therapy – she felt better.

DIL: Yes – a bit better – able to sleep until the next morning.

When she goes to sleep, does the pain come on again?

DIL: No.

We are talking now (9 pm) and you said she has no pain – when is she going to feel the pain?

DIL: When she has nothing to do at night she begins to feel the pain. If she goes around anywhere, she has no pain (Husband laughed!).

Where she is not doing anything she feels the pain – how long does the pain last?

DIL: Until she feels sleepy and falls asleep. For example the pain starts at 10 pm – it drags on until 12 mid-night or 1 am. Then she falls asleep. No more pain and she goes to sleep the whole night.

What did you do when she had pain?

Husband: Massaged her leg.

Ibu, did you have any problem drinking the herbal tea?

No problem.

Oh, other patients often complained – they felt nauseous or even vomited.

DIL: Mama wanted to k now how long has she got to be on the herbs?

Ha, ha, until you can run around! Why did you ask that question? Are you tired or fed-up of taking the herbs?

DIL: No, no, just wanting to know.

Okay, let me ask you this – before you came to see me and started to take the herbs – and now that you are on the herbs – has you conditions improved?

I felt great – more comfortable!

Now that you are better – do you want to stop taking the herbs? Let’s say I tell you now to stop taking the herbs – do you want to do that?

Oh, no,no, (waving her hand in disagreement). I would not do that.

So my advice is – relax and take it easy. Continue taking the herbs. It is only two months.

DIL: There is a vast improvements.

Let me ask you again. After coming back from China and after the surgery in Jakarta – you did not seek any more medical treatment because these did not cure you. Tell me how did you feel after that – what did your heart say? That is before you came to CA Care.

DIL: We were lost and helpless, not knowing what else to do or where else to go to. We went to see many doctors – bone doctor, cancer doctor, etc., etc., we felt we did not find the “real” doctor who could effectively help her.

At that time, did you feel you wanted to give up>

DIL: Yes, we did not know who else to go to for help. Then a friend of a friend told us about a patient who came to CA Care lately. She was “healed” by your therapy. We called her husband and went to meet him in his office. Two days later, we flew to Penang to see you.

When you heard of that healing story, did you believe what the man, Mr. Tukiman, had told you? You really believe his story?

DIL: Yes, we bought the plane tickets and flew to see you two days later!

Did you really believe what Tukiman said?

DIL: sure, we believed all what he told us.

Husband: Nodding and nodding.

Bapak, you too went to meet Tikuman and you believed what he told you. You were not afraid he was just bluffing you?

(Ha, ha, everybody laughed!).

When you first arrived at our Centre – saw what we did to others. Did you really believe what we were doing?

Husband: Nodding. Yes, I believed.

Okay Ibu, you took the herbs and you got better. At home can you play with your grandchildren now?

Yes, can play with them now.

Before the herbs, could you play with your grandchildren?

DIL: She remained confined to her bedroom.

But now can you walk around.

DIL: Yes, she walked around in the house.

Now, is there hope?

(Everybody laughed!)

Wonderful, wonderful.  I feel very happy for you.

DIL: Look at her face. She had improved a lot.

Now you have found the  right path. You know how to take care of yourself. Go home and don’t get lost again.

Prostate Cancer: PSA Dropping and He Preferred CA Care Herbs to Casodex and Zoladex

ML is a 69-year-old male from Indonesia. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer on 6 September 2011. Before this diagnosis ML already had problems with his prostate since April 2008. His PSA on 1 April 2008 was 9.31 and this kept rising over the years.

On 8 December 2011, we received an e-mail from ML.

Dear Dr. Chris,

I’m ML from Jakarta who went to meet you on 21 October 2011. After taking Prostate A tea and Mountain Guava deTox tea and capsule A, my PSA went down to 0.37 from  4.67.

Before that my doctor advised me to change my diet and gave me Casodex + Zoladex. These helped my PSA to go down to 4.67. Then I stop these drugs and took your herbs. My PSA went down to 0. 37. What must I do? Do I still have to take the herbs and for how long?

Thanks for your help.

On 16 December 2011, ML sent another e-mail.

Dr. Chris,

Congratulation, Praise The Lord from ML, Jakarta. I checked my PSA on 14 December. My PSA = 0.19.

Below is his brief medical history:

  13. 25 Oct 2011, Singapore General Hospital. Urology Department. MRI : no metastasis, prostate cancer (organ confine ). Advised to undergo surgery / radiation. Surgery, robot – assisted radical prostatectomy. Radiation : IMRT technique ( 37 session ). Declined medical treatment as suggested by SGH doctor.
  14. 1 Nov 2011, Start on CA Care’s herbs: Capsule A ,Prostate A & Mt.Guava Tea for two weeks.
  15. 15 Nov 2011, PSA 0.37 Continue with CA Care’s herbs.
  16. 14 December 2011, PSA 0.19.

This is indeed an interesting case. However, there are many things that need clarification. We requested Pak Teddy in Jakarta to meet up with ML and get some answers from him.

Below is Pak Teddy’s e-mail.

Hello Prof. Chris,

These are the answers from him. He came yesterday. He visited for about 45 minutes and had to go to another place after that.

Questions 1. When and why did he come and see you?
He came to see me on 27 Sept 2011. He wanted to know about the herbal therapy from CA Care.

2. Who asked him to come?
A friend in the church inform him of my address.

3. When he came — did he believe what you told him?
At that time I don’t know he believed me or not. But he bought some herbs that I suggested. And he came again the second time. During this second visit, he explained that after he had met me, he opened his Bible while at home. He read the page that he opened and there was this information about the Diet which I have explained to him earlier. So he followed the Diet that I suggested. He also informed me that he checked in the net about the ingredients of Capsule A. He learned that Typhonium flageliforme has the ability to fight the cancer cell. He had more confidence on our herbs.

4. He came to Penang … after he saw you — but he did not take the herbs yet. Why — he was not sure? After he came to Penang he started to take the herbs?
Yes, he did not take the herbs immediately after see me. This was because he was not sure of it. At that time he was on Casodex. He wanted to know how far the Casodex works. He started Casodex + Zoladex Injection (first injection ) on 23 September 2011. He stopped taking Casodex on 30 October 2011.

On 21 October 2011 he visited you in Penang. After meeting you and after reading the book he bought (Prostate Cancer Healed Natually), he became more confident that he was on the right track.

On 25 Oct 2011 he went to Singapore General Hospital, Urology Department. He was advised to undergo surgery/ radiation. Surgery is robot-assisted radical prostatectomy. Radiation is IMRT technique  (37 session ). He refused the suggested medical treatments.

5.  Besides the PSA going down,  did he feel better after taking the herbs?

Yes he felt that his body  was more comfortable.
6. He was taking Casodex and Zoladex injection, for only one month and the PSA went down from 47.65 to 4.67 — that means the medication is working. Why did he give these up and go for herbs?
Because he is afraid of the side effects of the drugs.

7. With less than a month on Casodex and Zoladex…what did he expect the PSA to be? — I think PSA dropping to 4.67 is very good indeed.
Yes he knows that. If he continues with the Hormone therapy he can get the PSA to go down but on the other hand he did not want to take the risk of the side effects  …bone destruction , etc.. He doesn’t want to have additional disease or problems. He better take the herbs. He believes herbs do not have side effects.

8. Did he stop the Caxodex and Zoladex totally when he took our herbs?
Yes he totally stopped  Casodex on 30 October 2011. Then he start with our Herbs on 1 Nov 2011(only herbs).

9. Now his PSA is 0.37  — how sure is he that it is the herbs that make the PSA go down? It can be due to the effect of the Casodex/Zoladex.
He knows that. May be the Zoladex effect is still at work ( 3 months effectiveness ) but once again he doesn’t want to continue because of the possible side effects. Now he is happy and explained to me that he only wants to continue with the herbs.

His doctor friends were surprised. You have a prostate cancer problem, but you keep smiling and  you seems to be  easy going ( because they know that prostate cancer can kill  him). He explained to me that all his doctor friends were worried about him.

He always replied them: I don’t have to go for surgery. But my PSA is now almost zero. Bye , bye  surgery  ( with a smile on his face ).

10. Is he going to stop taking the herbs — or when is he planning to continue taking the herbs?

No, he wants to continue with the Herbs.

Comments

There are a few lessons we can learn from this case after you have listened to our conversation in this video.

1.  About being a stubborn person

ML’s PSA reading was elevated since April 2008. It was then at 9.31. ML took herbs (not from CA Care). The PSA kept increasing inspite of this herbal treatment. It was not until September 2011 that ML had a biopsy toconfirm what was wrong with him. A biopsy indicated prostate cancer with Gleason score of 7 – take note the maximum score possible is 10. So medically this was a rather serious cancer.

I asked ML this question: You were taking the herbs from April 2008 – the more and longer you took the herbs the higher the PSA went up. Why did you continue taking the herbs – increasing PSA means the herbs were useless – why continue taking the herbs or doing the same thing?  His wife replied that he (husband) was stubborn. Being stubborn can be either bad or good. Stubborn combined with “foolishness or stupidity” can lead of disaster.  If things do not work out the way it should for you, why hang on to it? At CA Care we tell our patients this: “Take the herbs of two or three weeks – a month at most. Ask yourself if the herbs help you or not. If you don’t benefit from the herbs within this time frame, stop taking them. Go and find someone else to help you.”  Hanging on to our herbs for months without any benefit is not only a waste of money but more importantly risking your life.

The good side of being stubborn (or having a mind of your own) is that you are not like a cow to be led by the nose! Just because the expert said something, you must follow. ML went to the experts in Singapore and he was offered robotic surgery or radiotherapy.  How do you like that? Better to be stubborn?

Dr. James Watson is a Nobel Prize winner in Medicine. This honor was in recognition of his discovery of the DNA double helix structure. He also was the first director of the National Institutes of Health’s Human Genome Project from 1988 to 1992. Now 83 and the chancellor emeritus at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Dr. Watson was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After looking into radiation treatments and surgery, he decided on a course of “watchful waiting.” He said, “I was 80 and probably won’t live to be 90. So I will probably die of something other than prostate cancer.”  He takes ibuprofen (pain killer) every morning as well as a diabetes drug.  He also gets “hard exercise” in the form of vigorous tennis matches.  Being famous as he is, he could get the best medical treatment for prostate cancer in the world but he did not want to go for medical treatment. Why? Sometimes it is good to be stubborn!

2.  Side effects of Casodex and Zoladex

ML did not wish to continue with Casodex and Zoladex (even though they seemed to help) because of the risk of side effects.  I came to know that both ML and his wife were “medically trained”. So they know what “scientific medicine” is – they believe herbs are safer. Each of us has our preference – some would say herbs are not scientific or proven and liken them to snake oils, while others like ML thinks otherwise.

Let me remind you this – do not make choices solely on your preference, personal liking or belief. Make your decision based on research data available to you. Read and learn for yourself – research the facts and write these down and then use your head and heart to make sense of what you know.  That is a better  way  to make a wise decision. Before that, read and know the facts first. So here are the facts about the side effects of Casodex and Zoladex.

Common side effects of Casodex: Back, pelvic, stomach, or general body pain; constipation; decreased sexual ability; diarrhea; dizziness; frequent urination, especially at night; gas; headache; hot flashes; nausea; stomach upset; sweating; trouble sleeping; weakness.

SEVERE side effects of Casodex: Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; difficulty swallowing; unusual hoarseness); black or bloody stools; blurred vision or other vision changes; bone pain; breast growth or pain; changes in the amount of urine produced; chest pain; dark or bloody urine; fainting; fever, chills, or persistent sore throat; flu-like symptoms; increased hunger, thirst, or urination; joint pain, stiffness, or swelling; loss of appetite; mental or mood changes (e.g, anxiety, depression); muscle aches or weakness; numbness or tingling of the skin; pale stools; severe or persistent cough; severe or persistent dizziness, drowsiness, or headache; severe or persistent nausea or stomach pain; shortness of breath; swelling of the ankles, legs, or feet; unusual bruising or bleeding; unusual tiredness or weakness; vomiting; weight change; yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Less serious side effects of Zoladex:  hot flashes, sweating, headache, dizziness; mood changes, increased or decreased interest in sex; vaginal dryness, itching, or discharge; impotence, fewer erections than normal; breast swelling or tenderness; bone pain; diarrhea, constipation; sleep problems (insomnia); or acne, mild skin rash or itching.

Serious side effect of Zoladex:  back pain, severe numbness or tingling in your legs or feet; muscle weakness, problems with balance or coordination; loss of bladder or bowel control; urinating less than usual or not at all; pain or burning when you urinate; blood in your urine or stools; feeling like you might pass out; trouble breathing; pale skin, easy bruising; nausea, loss of appetite, increased thirst, muscle weakness, confusion, and feeling tired or restless; high blood sugar (increased thirst, increased urination, hunger, dry mouth, fruity breath odor, drowsiness, dry skin, blurred vision, weight loss); sudden numbness or weakness, sudden severe headache, confusion, problems with vision or speech; or chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling.

(The list on side effects is obtained from the website, http://www.drugs.com/zoladex.html)

In our question to ML we asked: Besides the PSA going down, did he feel better after taking the herbs?

His answer was:  “Yes he felt that his body was more comfortable”. This is important. Do you learn anything from this  often repeated statement –  “The operation is a success but the patient died of complication.” What is the point of having an operation if this is the outcome? It is most shocking to read what Dr. James Forsythe wrote in his book, The Compassionate Oncologist, According to Big Pharma and the cancer industry, death from chemotherapy is acceptable as long as standard chemo protocol has been adhered to” (page 91).  Can you believe that?

3.   Diet for your cancer

This is the most frustrating point of all. Over the years working with cancer patients, we have this uphill task of telling patients to take care of their diet. Diet is important for your cancer. But it is a hard battle. Dr. James Forsythe (in The Compassionate Oncologist) wrote, “I know from firsthand experience that oncologists and physicians aren’t allowed to talk about supplements or diet as part of cancer treatment.”

  • Patients were being told that they can eat anything they like. Diet has nothing to do with their cancer – eat anything and be happy! Eat well so that you can come back for more chemo or radiation! Unfortunately many cancer patients don’t like the idea of not being able to eat what they like. They say: “I am already dying and now you tell me not to eat what I like. I better eat now before it is too late.” Others would say: “Go and see this Chris Teo and you die because you cannot eat many things you like.”  I remember one classical case of a medical doctor who came to ask for help. He had undergone chemos after chemos but the treatment did not cure him. After I told him to take care of his diet he said, “No, I don’t believe you. I cannot follow what you advised me.” To that I replied, “No, my therapy is not for people like you. If you are not prepared to take care of your diet, go somewhere else for help.”
  • Lately, I learnt that there is a bit of progress. A patient came to us after being told by his doctor that he should go home and just wait, but at the same time to take care of his diet. His liver cancer is too advanced and no medical treatment is indicated. I asked the patient what did his doctor say that he cannot eat – what does “taking care of your diet” mean? To my surprise the answer was, “No he did not tell us what to eat or not to eat. He just said, take care of your diet!” It is indeed amazing such a thing does happen! How do you expect the patient to know how to follow your advice if you don’t provide more information?  At CA Care we have our books, Food & Cancer, to tell you exactly what you need to know. Then, to guide you in your kitchen there is Healthy Cooking. There is no reason now why cancer patients do not know how to take care of their diet. Even more, there is no reason why cancer patients cannot eat healthy, good tasting food.
  • In this case, ML is really lucky to find a medical doctor who encouraged him to take care of his diet.  Cheers to this doctor! Dr. Dean Ornish is a medical doctor and president of Preventive Medicine Research Institute and Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.  Dr. Ornish has directed randomized controlled trials demonstrating that comprehensive lifestyle changes may stop or reverse the progression of early-stage prostate cancer and even reverse severe coronary heart disease, without drugs or surgery. Go to his website, http://www.pmri.org/dean_ornish.html and learn for yourself what diet can do for your cancer.

Updated:

Dear Dr. Chris Teo,
Lama tidak ada kabar dari saya, tapi masih tetap berhubungan dengan Pak Teddy. I’m doing well,  my PSA  is 0.3 in mid-February, and I’m still taking your Herbs as usually, I want to ask you is there a minimal dose to mantain my psa level, or should I take the usual dose. Thanks beforehand.  Greetings from all of us and Happy Easter.

 Update 2:

I would like to inform you, I’ve check my blood on 24 May 2012, My PSA is 0.52.

Lung Cancer: Surgery, No Chemo But On Herbs – CEA Elevated After Bad Diet

Jan (M471) is a 55-year-old male from Indonesia.  He is an ex-smoker of 40 plus years. Sometime in mid-2008 he had coughs. There was no blood in his sputum. He went to Melaka for a checkup. A CT scan indicated cancer of the lung. Not satisfied he came to Penang for a second opinion.

A colonoscopy, done on 20 September 2008, indicated haemorrhoids and presence of polyps in the colon and rectum. Biopsy of the colonic polyp indicated tubular adenoma associated with moderate dysplasia, while the polyp from rectum was hyperplastic.

CT scan of the thorax indicated a small irregular 1.7 x 1.7 x 1.6 cm nodule. The paratracheal, carinal and right hilar lymph nodes were enlarged ranging from 1 to 3 cm.  Impression: Features are suspicious of underlying early carcinoma of lung.

Jan underwent an operation to remove the tumour in his lung. He was told he had a 85 to 90 percent of cure if he had surgery. Histopathology report confirmed a moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma, pT1N1Mx, Stage 2A. Surgical margins were free of malignancy. The total cost of his medical treatment came to about RM 35,000.

Jan was asked to undergo chemotherapy. He refused and came to seek our help on 8 October 2008. He was prescribed Capsule A, C-tea, Lung 1 and Lung 2 tea and GI 1 tea.

About a month later, 14 November 2008, Jan came back to see us again. He said he felt healthier and his sleep was better. He was asked to undergo chemotherapy. The doctor said chemotherapy can cure him. He declined.

Jan is from a small town in Sumatera. It is a long travel to come to Penang from his home. From home he has to take a 3-hour-bus-ride to a town where he would have to take another 24-hour-bus-ride to Medan. From Medan he has to fly to Penang. In spite of this long journey, Jan come to see us regularly.  On most visits to us, Jan said he was well and healthy with no complaints. His CEA decreased from the initial 133.66 (before surgery) to 27.6 (after two years on herbs). However, on 21 October 2010, Jan was jolted by the sudden rise of his CEA from 27.6 to 83.12 (See table). We were disappointed too. What had gone wrong? From experience we could roughly guess the answer. We asked him, “What did you eat wrong these past month?”

Jan admitted that since he was doing fine, he did not keep to his diet very well. He ate the food that we asked him to avoid such as meat, fried food and “tau sar pow” (bun made form sweet beans boiled in pork lard). He used corn oil for his cooking instead of coconut oil. We explained to Jan we did not know the cause of the rise in his CEA – it could be due to the problem of his colon since he had polyps or it could be due to his lungs. Anyway, the only option is to go back to his good diet again. Jan promised to do just that. About a month later, the CEA dropped to 75.58 only to increase again to 93.97 in March 2011. However, in August 2011 his CEA was down to 57.9. With this decrease Jan seemed to believe that diet is important for his wellbeing.

Overall, Jan’s health was alright. It has been three years since his lung surgery. And he declined chemotherapy and opted for herbs instead. Up to this day, he is able to eat, sleep and do his routine activities without any problem. It did not matter if the CEA was at 93.97 or 57.9 – these numbers did not make any difference in terms of his wellbeing. In short, his quality of life has been maintained through his cancer journey, minus the chemo of course.

Acugraph Study

The AcuGraph taken on 26 August 2011 showed improvements – a more balanced meridian reading compared to the one take on 22 October 2010 (below).

Some questions for you to reflect on:

  1. After surgery Jan refused to undergo chemotherapy in spite of being asked to do so by his doctor. What happened to him now? What could have happened if he was to undergo chemotherapy? Will he be as well as he is today?
  2. After the surgery, his CEA dropped from 133 to 51 and then to 27 – and he was only on herbs and “good” diet. Do you believe that herbs and diet are effective in keeping his cancer at bay? Or do you prefer toxic drugs to do the job?
  3. Jan started to take “bad” food after two years of being in good health. His CEA shot up to 83. He realized his mistake and started to go on his “good” diet again. After six months his CEA went down to 58. Do you still insist that cancer patients can eat anything they like and that food has nothing to do with cancer progression and/or recurrence?
  4. From October 2010 to March 2011, Jan’s CEA hovered around 76 to 94. In spite of that he felt well. His wellbeing was not affected by either a high or low CEA.  What does this tell you? Learn to live with your cancer! Don’t let the lab test numbers make you sick!

Pancreatic Cancer: Severe Itch Disappeared and Health Improved After Herbs and the e-Therapy

Bak (M952) is a 56-year-old male from Indonesia. Sometime in November 2010, he complained of itchiness but he did nothing about it. In April 2011, he went for a checkup in a hospital in Aceh, North Sumatera. He was told there was a tumour in his bile duct. On 8 April 2011, he came to Penang for further checkup. CT scan of his abdomen and pelvis indicated the following:

  • A rounded hypodense lesion seen in mid-transverse colon measuring 10.5 x 21.3 mm. The doctor was unsure of what it was polyp ?
  • Pancreatic head and uncinate process carcinoma with distal CBD (common biliary duct) obstruction.
  • Left inguinoscrotal hernia.

His liver function results on 8 April 2011 are as follows:

Bak was asked to undergo an operation for his pancreatic cancer. He declined, but he opted for ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). This is a specialized technique to clear off the bile duct obstruction. Three plastic stents (tube) were installed to help with the flow of the bile. The total cost of hospitalization came to RM 4300.

After this procedure, Bak was asked to undergo chemotherapy. He refused. Instead, on 10 April 2011, he came to seek our help. He presented with the following:

  • Severe itch throughout the whole body
  • No appetite
  • Fevers, unable to sleep
  • Diarrhoea
  • Yellow urine

We had no choice but to put Bak on the e-Therapy hoping to help him with the itchiness. After one session of the e-Therapy, the itchiness was reduced. After two sessions, his itch was reduced by 50 percent. After four sessions of the e-Therapy his itch was totally gone. Bak had fevers. We prescribed him with Appetite & Fever tea. After taking a glass of this tea, his fevers were resolved. Then he went home to Aceh.

On 7 July 2011, Bak came back to see us again. He said for the past two weeks, he started to itch again. It came on and off and affected the palms, elbows and feet.  We were not able to put him of the e-Therapy because he had to go home the next day.

On 5 October 2011, Bak showed up at our centre again. This time he came specifically for the e-Therapy. Bak said that since taking the herbs in April 2011, his health had improved. He felt more comfortable, his sleep was better and he felt more energetic. Previously he had to wake up 4 to 5 times a night to urinate. After taking the A-Kid-6 tea his urination frequency has reduced to only once a night. He started to itch again but this was not as serious as before the e-Therapy. Before the e-Therapy the whole body was itchy and he had to scratch until the skin bled. Now the itch was confined to his elbows and feet only.

A blood test was done on 5 October 2011. The results showed improvements in his GGT, AST and CA 19.9 (Table,   Column 3).  Bak underwent the e-Therapy again from 5 October to 11 October 2011. After two sessions, the itch reduced by about 50 percent. By 10 October 2011, six days on the e-Therapy, the itch was almost totally gone. What remained were the itches on his finger tips.

Over the past six months since taking the herbs, his health had improved, his sleep was good and so was his appetite. The e-Therapy had helped tremendously with his itchiness.

The video clip below documented his progress with the e-Therapy.

Breast Cancer: Herbs and e-Therapy Restored Her Wellbeing After 106 Times of Radiation Treatments Part 7: My Journey of Ignorance

Acknowledgment: Permission to use this video without having to hide her identity is granted by the patient.

This is a bitter-sweet story of Le, a 37-year-old female from Indonesia. She came to us on 14 October 2011 after having been diagnosed with breast cancer that had probably spread to her lungs. She had undergone 106 radiation treatments besides taking a variety of supplements.

1. I found a small lump in my breast in 2003. I ignored it. In 2009, the lump grew bigger and I felt it while lying down. I went to see a doctor who told me to do a biopsy. I declined. I did not want to do chemo or radiation.

2.  Why did you go and see the doctor then? Le: Just to know if the lump was cancerous or not!

3. The doctor confirmed it was a cancer. I declined medical treatment and opted for supplements and alternative therapies instead.

4. I took “something.” I did not what the concoction was. This cost me six million rupiah per month. The tumour grew bigger.

5.  After taking the concoction, the tumour grew bigger – didn’t you realize that you were not on the correct path?  Le: No, I never thought of that!

6. I didn’t know where else to go. I bought all kinds of products to take. One supplement that I took for a year cost me 700,000 rupiahs per day – each gulp of this supplement cost 700,000 rupiah.

7. The tumour grew bigger and eventually burst.

8. I had no choice. I agreed to go for radiotherapy.

9. After the radiation the tumour shrunk. But four months later another tumour recurred at the collarbone. It was a small lump and then grew bigger until I had a very big lump around my neck.

10. Why did you wait for it to grow so big before going for another round of radiation? Le: I was hoping by taking the supplements the lump would shrink.

11. Since the lump grew bigger and bigger when you were taking the supplements, why did you continue taking them – even when they didn’t seem to help? Le: I just continued taking them. I waited and waited until the lump grew bigger and bigger.

12. Then I went for more radiation (in total I had 106 radiation treatments). Later they radiated my ovaries for six times.

13. Before the completion of all my radiation treatments, another lump recurred in my abdomen.

14. While undergoing the radiotherapy, I was asked to take Tamoxifen. Ten days on Tamoxifen my wrists swelled and I could not bend my fingers. After a month on Tamoxifen I could not walk.

15. I had to use the wheelchair and my husband had to carry me.

16. My good friend from Makassar called. She told me my body could not take the radiation anymore. I should stop the treatment. But where do I go? I have tried all the alternatives and failed. My friend to me, “Go to Chris Teo. You can check him out on the internet.”

17. Let me ask you this question – if you were to start all over again from 2009 when you felt the lump in your breast – what would you have done? Le: I would come to see you. I would not want to go for medical treatments.

18. When you had that small lump, you went to see the doctor but why did you not want him to do something for you? Le: I went to see a “sinseh”. He told me I had this disease because of my sins. What kind of “sinseh” was that?

19.  What I wanted to know is, do you know that if you have a cancerous lump in your breast, the best option is to have it removed by the doctor? Le: If I were to have met you then, it is most likely that I would follow your advice and have the lump removed. Because after that I can take the herbs, okay – that I would agree. But I don’t want to go for chemotherapy or radiotherapy after the surgery. Unfortunately, I did not know about you then.

It is with sadness to learn that Le had to be hospitalized after her return to Surabaya because the cancer had spread to her liver. She died on 6 January 2012

Breast Cancer: Herbs and e-Therapy Restored Her Wellbeing After 106 Times of Radiation Treatments Part 6: Four Days of Healing at CA Care

She presented with aches and pains throughout her body, especially the joints. Bodily movements were difficult.  She could not sleep well and she had coughs.

After four days here, how do you feel now? Le: Healthier. I feel better.

When you came here last Friday (four days ago), compared to to-day, do you feel you are better? Le: Yes. I can walk faster now. I have more energy. It is like I was before I had cancer. When I came here I was still tired and lethargic. But yesterday I could walk from the apartment to the market. My husband took the wrong turn and we missed the market. We had to walk up and down everywhere. But I was alright. I had no problem walking. And I also walked fast. Before I had to drag my feet when walking and my back was hunched.

What about your sleep? Le: Before I came here, I had to wake up five times a night to urinate. I coughed. So my sleep was not good and disturbed. I often had dreams of my loved ones who had died. They came to invite me to “go home”. After I took the herbs and did the e-Therapy I could sleep well. I had no more dreams.

In terms of bodily movements, are you more agile now? I realized the first day you were here, you had difficulty moving your hands, etc. Le: I am back to being a normal person now. I can do the following (demonstrate all the actions):

  1. Raise my arms up high and straight up.
  2. Put my hands behind my heads to tie my hair. Before when I had long hair my daughter had to tie my hair for me.
  3. I can hold the broom and sweep the floor. I can swing my arms.
  4. I can make my bed and fold the blanket.
  5. I can bend down and touch the floor with my hands.
  6. I can bend my wrists.
  7. I can undress and wear the bra by myself.
  8. I can fold my legs and cut my toe nails.
  9. I can climb in bed right away without any having to slide in slowly.
  10. I can fold my arms and use my little finger to clean my ear.
  11. I can clap my hands – no pain.
  12. I can use my hand to smack the mosquito – no pain. Before it was painful even to touch the skin.
  13. I can snap my fingers and make this clicking sound.
  14. I can grasp something and bend my fingers.
  15. When I breathe deeply, there is no more tightness in my chest.
  16. This morning I walked faster than my husband.

Now you seem to have regained your movements and quality of life. Are you happy? Le: Yes. This is what I have been hoping for. When I was unable to walk I told my pastor that I wanted to die. I have lost all hope. This is because

  • Movements were so difficult.
  • I can’t even scratch my buttock when I felt itchy. My husband had to help me scratch.
  • I could not button my trousers – my husband had to do this for me.

See now, I can twist my body to the right or left without any pain, I can stand on one leg and I can eat rice with my hand.

Now do you still want to die? Le: No, no more.

I really don’t know why I did what I did that Friday night (four days ago). Usually I would only ask you to take the herbs first for a few weeks or months before going into the e-Therapy. However, that night I sensed that you were having much difficulties and so we decided to put you on the e-Therapy right away. I did not know why I did that. Perhaps it was God who was helping you!

Okay, four days on the Therapy. Did you feel good? Le: Absolutely good.

Are you confident now? Le: Absolutely confident. When I came here, I knew that this is God’s answer to my prayers.

When you go home, take the herbs as instructed. Then you must take care of your diet as we have taught you. Exercise. Don’t think too much – relax and take it easy. Don’t stress yourself too much. What is important is to try to live a normal life. Le: My facial appearance looks good now. More “glow”.

Okay, I am real happy. Please take care when you are at home. Remember what we have told you. Do not do anything that is not right. And above all, remember that healing takes time. Have patience.

My Dreams

Before I came here, I used to have dreams everyday when I slept. My sleep was not good and disturbed.

What did you dream about? Le: My relatives and loved ones who have died visited me. They told me they have already built a house for me there and invited me to come “home” with them.

Are you sure? Le: Yes. So according to religious belief, I would have to put flowers at the road junction to make peace with the spirits so that they don’t come back again. I did that.

You dreamt of your loved ones asking you to come “home” with them? Le: Yes. But I told them I didn’t want to go. We even sat down together to have a feast – eating together but I told them I did not want to stay there. In one dream, my husband and I visited the “Garden of Eden.” He was carrying a big luggage containing all my clothes.

Oh, it seems your time is not up yet! And after you came here, you took the herbs and did the e-Therapy for four days. Did you still dream? Le: I could sleep very well and soundly. I did not dream anymore.

My Near Death Experience

One night in March 2010, as I opened the dressing of my breast wound, blood suddenly “shot” out from the wound  – one hole was on top of my breast and another below my breast. The blood spurt out rather far off. I had to use eight towels to soak up the blood. I tried to use ice to “cool” it down and stop the bleeding. It did not work. Then my son suggested that I only use the bandage and nothing else. I pressed on the wound and the bleeding stopped. My ears made a “hissing” sound and my vision became blurred and withdrawn. I started to float away – far, far away.

Like you went through a tunnel? Le: Yes, yes. Then I found myself on a white vehicle but there was driver. I was alone on the vehicle. It drove pass the clouds and I floated around, among these clouds. It was all white. I did not feel any pain or anything. It was just absolute emptiness – total blank with no feelings.

When or how did you come back? People around me were singing hymns. Then my daughter tugged my arm and said, “Mama, please do not leave me.” I then woke up. When I regained consciousness, I felt dizzy. My vision was blurred and I saw multiple images.

She presented with aches and pains throughout her body, especially the joints. She could not bend her fingers.  She could not sleep well and she had coughs.

1.  My 42-year-old friend with breast cancer died after chemotherapy

Le:  My friend also had breast cancer like me. She died after two years. She went to Singapore to find the best medicine for her breast cancer. It started with just a tiny tumour. She had it removed and then underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She was okay. Then the cancer spread to her bones. They installed a chemo-port in her and she continued to receive more chemo. She took the best “bird nests”  to help her cope with the side effects of chemo. After this chemo, there were spots all over her skin.

Are you sure? Was she you friend?  Le: Yes. Even with such effects she continued to receive more chemos. In total she had 38 cycles of chemotherapy. After that she looked okay, okay but her nails were all dark. Then the cancer went to her backbone and spread to her brain. Then she continued with radiotherapy and more chemo in Surabaya. She died.

How old was she? Le: Forty-two.

I fully understand, I understand.

2.  Four of my friends already died after medical treatments

Le: Four of my friends already died of cancer. Two of them had breast cancer, one had colon cancer and the other one had cancer of the uterus.

They were all your friends? Le: Yes, they died. They were all below their 50s. And they all had operation and chemotherapy.

They all died, and because of this you decided not to go for an operation and chemo? When did this happen – while you had your cancer? Le: When I had my breast cancer and they also had their cancers.

Oh, at the same time. They took a different road and you took a different path? Le: Yes, exactly.

I understand. I fully understand you. That is the reason why I did not want to push anybody who come here to go for chemo or radiation. The stories you have told me are being repeated over and over.

3. Uncle died after spending 6 Billion Rupiahs

Le:  My uncle had lung cancer. He went to Singapore for treatment. In all, he spent 6 miliar (billion) rupiahs. He also died. After so many chemos, even the veins in his arm seemed to disappear. He did not take care of his diet. He ate anything he liked. At the same time, I also had my cancer. He told me to eat what I liked but I refused to listen to his advice.

And your uncle died? Le: Yes, died after three years.

And at the same time, you also had your cancer. And is it because of this that you did not want to go for medical treatment? Le: No, no. There is a feeling inside me wanting to reject chemo.  These people did not die because of their cancers. They died because of their chemos. Their haemoglobin, platelets and white blood cells were all down and gone!

I understand you, I truly understand. But what I want to say is we should not totally reject medical treatments. At times we need the doctors to help us. We can use certain things that doctors do to help us. And we can reject those that are harmful to us. This is what I would tell patients.

 4.  See what happened to me now when I believed the doctor!

Le: I would agree to go to the doctors to check where my tumour is. But if they prescribe medication, I would not take it. See this is what happened to me  – this is the evidence! This is the first time I believed the doctor and this is what I get (figures unable to bend and later unable to walk after taking Tamoxifen for a month).

It all began with a small lump in my left breast. I ignored it. Some years later, I went to see an oncologist. He asked me to undergo a biopsy and later operate. I declined. I opted for alternative therapy. I took all kinds of supplements (See Part 2: Alternative Therapies  –  My Twenty-One- Million-Rupiah Per Month Treatment).

The lump grew bigger and eventually burst. It was then that I went to see a radiologist and underwent radiotherapy. I had my first radiation treatment in November 2009. I received 25 treatments for my left breast. The tumour shrunk and eventually disappeared.

Three months later, another lump grew just below my neck. It grew bigger and bigger. I again received another 25 radiation treatments for this. The lump also disappeared after the treatment.

Four months later, two more tumours appeared, one on each of my breasts. I again received 25 radiation treatments for each of my left and right breasts.

I also received 6 radiation treatments for my ovaries.

While on radiotherapy, another lump appeared just below my left collar bone but this eventually disappeared after I completed the radiation treatment for my two breasts. However, now I have another lump in my abdomen.

While undergoing the later stage of radiotherapy, I took Tamoxifen.  After two weeks on Tamoxifen my fingers became stiff and it was difficult and painful to bend them. After a month on Tamoxifen I was unable to walk. Also, my neck muscles became stiff.  Before the Tamoxifen I was agile and had no mobility problems. I could exercise. I stopped taking Tamoxifen after a month. My doctor told me the cancer had gone to my bones.

Early this month, a good friend in Makassar called me. She advised that I have had too much radiation already and my body would not be able to accept it anymore. I should look for other alternative treatment. But all this while, I had been on alternative treatments. I took all kinds of supplements. My friend suggested that I go to Penang and meet a Chris Teo.

The above is a bitter-sweet story of Le, a 37-year-old female from Indonesia. She came to us on 14 October 2011 after having been diagnosed with breast cancer that had probably spread to her lungs. She presented with aches and pains throughout her body, especially the joints. She could not bend her fingers.  She could not sleep well and she had coughs.

Le was prescribed Capsule A, Breast L and Breast M teas, Pain tea, Lung 1 and Lung 2 teas besides Cough # 10. She was put on the e-Therapy with Detox #2. That was on Friday evening.

On Sunday night (two days later), Le came back and reported as follows.

I went back to my apartment and slept through the night, from 7 pm to 6 am. I woke up just to eat and drink the herbal teas and then went back to sleep again.

Before this therapy, were you able to sleep? Le: Difficult.

On Saturday (no e-Therapy but only on herbs) did you sleep through the day? Le: Yes. I slept, woke up to eat and then went back to sleep again. I ate corn and fruits.

When you were at home, could you sleep like this? Le: No. At home when I woke up from sleep, I would feel pains. Now, I have no more pain. I could sleep in any position or posture, I had no pain. I was unable to do such a thing when I was at home.

Did you really sleep well – soundly? Le: Yes. I also passed out a lot of “gas” … boot, boot. I would walk to and fro from Kenny’s apartment to the market. I did not have any problem walking. I could not do such thing at home. I would become breathless if I walk like that.

Now, when you walk, did you become breathless? Le: No. Now, I can also hold the broom and sweep the floor. I can now make my bed and fold the blanket. I could not do that before. I could not even lift the blanket let alone fold it. This morning, I even “hit” the pillows.

Now, what other problems do you have? Le: Coughs. Before, I was not able to twist my body around – to the right or left. I would have muscle pull or cramp. Now, no more cramps. After taking the herbs for two days, there are no more body pains.

No more pain anywhere? Le: No more.

So, for the past two days, do you really feel well? Le: Yes. Strong (taking a deep breath).

Do you have any other problem? Le: Only cough now.

e-Therapy is Effective for Aches and Pains

The e-mails below do not need further comments from us. They speak for themselves!

11 October 2011

Dear Dr Teo,

I have been reading about this e-therapy on your blog and also receive some info about this from your good friend Hanafi.

I am very interested to try this machine and hope it can help me with the pain that I have been experiencing on my right shoulder and upper right arm. I only experience this pain when I am going to sleep.  The pain will disappear in the morning and throughout the day. However, if I raise my hand half way and try to move backward, then I can feel some pressure on my upper arm.

Another reason for wanting to try this e-therapy is because I also have some blood pressure issues.

Since early June, I have been taking your Capsule A, C-tea and Thyroid tea.

Thank you.

Reply: Where are you from? KL? If KL then susah, you have to come to Penang. You need to do a few days to know if it works.

13 October 2011

Dear Dr. Teo,

I am very keen in purchasing the e-therapy machine.  After reading the testimonials from people who had use the machine on your blog, I also feel that I can benefit from the use.  As the price is also quite high, I agree with you that I need to try first to see the effect on me.

I have spoken to Hanafi and he is willing to let me try his machine.  I would probably be able to try this machine this weekend.  Please assist me in giving the instruction as to what type of treatment I should do.

FYI, since the past two days, I had been having this lower back pain that started rather mild on Tuesday afternoon and gets worst yesterday.  The pain seems to radiate from the back and I can also feel inside my body on the right side near the hip sometimes.  The pain is more on the right side than the left. The pain also becomes more pronounced when I move, walk or change position especially doing all these when I lie down.

The pain is also restricting me from moving or bending. When I need to bend, I have to do it slowly to avoid feeling the sharp pain.  The pain is more like a dull muscle ache. What puzzled me is I did not so anything strenuous, had a fall or bumped into anything. In the past I would probably had taken a few pain killers to solve this situation.

Reply: First you must do Detox #2 —that will take 34 minutes. Drink a lot of water, if your face feels tight or if you feel heaty. Next day do Detox #3. Third day do Lumbago #98. After you are done with it, continue with another program Backache #57. Let me know what happens after you do the program.

16 October 2011

Dear Dr. Teo,

I managed to use the e-therapy machine yesterday at 6.30pm.  Kak Inin started on a moderate intensity just to get me have a feel of the treatment.  After doing the Detox #2, I did not feel any changes to my health initially.

When I went to bed last night, I did feel some difference from the previous few nights. I do not feel the pain on my lower back and inside my abdomen. And I can roll from side to side with no discomfort. Also   there was less discomfort on my upper right arm and shoulder.  The pain on my lower back seemed to be less on Friday but got worst on Friday night (day before starting e-therapy).

Another difference that I observed was when I woke up in the morning, It is easier for me to get out of bed.  I can spontaneously sit-up and get up as opposed to a few days back when I have to move my body slowly before I can get off the bed and after 10-15 minute all the body ache will disappear.  I only experienced this backache since last Tuesday (about 4 days back), I did not have this back ache before this.

I also slept well.  Normally, I woke at least once during the night. On bad nights, a few times. So last night I managed to sleep close to 5 1/2 hours straight.

Today, I will try Detox #3. With just 1 session, I am happy that there has been improvement on some of my health issues. Will do this Detox #3 and will let you know the outcome.

Thank you and regards.

Dear Dr. Teo,

I managed to use the e-therapy machine again yesterday at 3.00pm.

Again I had better sleep last night and pain in my lower back is no longer there.  Pain on my upper right arm and shoulder is also getting better. Generally, my whole body feels ‘lighter’.

As for my blood pressure, the readings are still not below 120/80.

Looking forward to see you tomorrow.
